Disney gift cards - Atlantic Canada?

Does anyone have experience locating Disney gift cards in Atlantic Canada?
Is there any benefit to buying them in Canada before going to Disney?
Can you use Airmiles to buy Disney gift cards?

I don‘t know of any place in Canada that offers discounts on gift card like BJ or Target do in the U.S. so there’s no point in using them unless you have a store that gives you points or cash back.

The reason why people use them in the U.S. is because they can sometimes get them at 5% off and stack some additional savings. 5-10% off anything at Disney can end up saving big money.

Also Atlantic Canadian....We've found disney gift cards in the superstore. But only 50 dollar ones

They had them in Shoppers Drug Mart before Christmas, in $50 and $100 for sure, and in loadable cards. They have had them year round in Walmart, but sometimes just in $50 cards. My experience is in the stores around Halifax.

Airmiles isn't associated with either Walmart or Shoppers, but you can't use PC Optimum points to buy any gift cards.

Also there is another thread in this forum with lots of good information about the Disney gift card strategy, I can't remember right now what it's called but it was active right before Christmas and was full of great information.

I have seen them at Superstore, Shoppers and Walmart here in NB recently. There’s no discount - but you do save the conversion and bank fees.
