Disney Gift Card - Wrist Band Version?

I've seen a bunch of Food and Wine posts about the festival and the convenience that people find in buying the Disney Gift Cards that are attached to a thing you wear around your wrist, like it hangs off of it - are those exclusive to Food and Wine? Because they would be ideal of our trip in December since we do not plan on using our magic bands to charge anything - but I'm not sure I will be able to get them. Does anyone know?

As far as I know, they don't have anything like that for your magic band, and you can't add a gift card directly to the magic band, either. I've found the easiest thing to do is just charge back to your room using the magic band, then every couple of days, go to the lobby and pay the charges with a gift card.

Yes - I wasnt talking about a magic band connected gift card though - I found a picture of what I saw in the Food and Wine video - are these things available all the time?

Yeahhhh - I would more than likely just use it as a card and carry it in a wallet if that was my only option. These wrist versions appear to be smaller cards and I would be annoyed DIY-ing them- just thought I would ask if they're always out or if it's just for the festivals.

Try eBay. You can reload the card when you arrive. I wish they’d sell them throughout the year! I’ve used gift cards in the past, and I haven’t decided if I’ll give the teenagers gift cards again this year or charging Privileges.

Do not buy used gift cards to use. Previous owners can monitor the balance and instantly transfer to other gift cards.

A hole puncher can be found in most offices and a wristband can be what you want. Just be sure to not cut into the magnetic stripe of the gift card.

I've only seen it during the Food and Wine Fest but I, too, would love to see this as a regular thing. It was so handy during F & W.

Honestly the convenience of charging with the MB is much better than using a gift card. If you don't want to run up a bill you can pay off the charges daily (you can even use a gift card!)
