I don't think that's it at all. The pause was during a period when Florida was the first to re-open, revenge travel was A Thing, and they were struggling to staff everything back up. This suggests to me that there is a softening in attendance that they are hoping to backfill with APs.Yeah it's pretty clear who didn't want annual passholders and it's also pretty clear that regime no longer has any control in the parks.
The AP crowd (and, to a lesser extent, locals generally) have always been treated as the attendance shock-absorbers. If attendance were still robust, this promo does not happen.
This makes sure they capture all of the revenue of an AP. If they just lowered the price, you could use the $100 on something other than Disney.Why dont they just lower the ap price
