Disney Gift Card Sale at Target

Is that including the 5% red card discount?

Target doesn't give 5% discount when you buy Target gift cards. Initial purchase will be 10% off Target gift cards. Target gift cards will not be activated until the next day. Then, use the Target gift cards to buy Disney gift cards online. Make sure to list the Target Red Card as the primary method with the gift cards to receive an addiitonal the 5% off at this time.

Depending how they word the promotion, it will be interesting to see if they require paying with a Red Card for the promotion. If not, you could use another credit card with a rebate to buy the Target gift cards. This would give you the rebate from your credit card company as an additional discount.

As always, deal only makes sense if you pay off the credit card/Red Card each month in full to avoid payng interest.

does anyone know if they do this deal anytime else during the year? or any other gift card deal where you can get the disney gift cards for 15% off with the red card?

There are other, more complicated ways to get a similar discount throughout the year, but this seems to be the most straight forward way to get a substantial discount. And it only happens around Christmas.

Thanks. Never really watched target deals till recently so good to know they typically only do it at Christmas.

This deal is good for anything if it happens. 10% off Target Gift Cards is as good as 10% off whatever you want to buy as long as you buy giftcards to then buy what you want with.

Thank you super snoop!! I'll be at a brick n mortar to buy $300 target gift cards!! I may even try to walk back and get another $300 a few more times!!

It's not a rumor. i just saw the Sunday ad. its' 12/20 all day. Online & In store. but the 5% redcard purchase does not apply to saving on target targets. So use another credit card for points..miles..etc

But the Target gift cards can be used to purchase Disney gift cards, correct?

I just got back from Target.
The 10% off offer on Target gift cards is limited to $300 per "family."
And ironically, my Target now ONLY has $25 Disney gift cards! Of course, when the $5 back offer was in effect, they only had $50 and $100 cards.

I just bought my 10% off target gift cards!!! I was not sure if it would allow me to pay with target gift cards but it did!! just compounding the savings!!! Tomorrow i will buy my disney gift cards so hopefully on top of my raise purcahse of target GC and the 10% off target GC it will allow me to get my 5% off of the disney GC. I think in total it would be about 20-25% off!! I wish i had more money to put into this and not be limited to $300

You can save even more if you use the target gift cards to buy Disney gift cards online being a little short and then use a Target credit or debit card to pay the difference. You will then save 5% off the total purchase price of the Disney gift cards even though you are only paying a portion.

I bought enough $95 Target gift cards to buy enough $100 Disney gift cards for our dues. It ends up saving you just shy of 15%. Plus you can get points or cash back with whatever credit card you use to buy the Target gift cards with.

FYI. . .I was able to buy at target online using a couple different devices from home. Bought $600 worth before having to go to a store to buy more. Not sure exactly how it's tracked but I used a desktop pc and an iPad. I did try again on the pc but the offer didn't work.

I'm not sure how to receive the Red Card discount if you purchased Target gift cards today to swap for Disney cards. I understand you receive 10% off with Target cards and can turn around to buy Disney cards - say I bought $200 and saved $20 with the 10%. When I change the Target cards to Disney cards, how would the Red Card 5% be applied if not paying with a Red Card?

I didn't necessarily buy Target cards to buy Disney cards, I have some other shopping to do but I'd like to understand why people feel they could receive 15% total discount with a Red Card.

There is a glitch with the website. Nobody knows why but unlike at registers in the store (where you only get 5% on the amount actually charged to the red card) as long as the red card is set as the default payment option on target.com you will receive 5% off your order even if you pay in full with a target gift card.

Thanks for the info...the website glitch would explain it.
