Disney Gift Card Question

Hello all ~ going to WDW last week of August and want to give my kids a "Disney Gift Card" for each of them for spending ~ do you know if I can get them there at the resort or guest services in a park and pay for them using my disney dreams reward dollars?? Thanks!

Several Department stores sell them. Just do a google search or check stores with Kiosks in the gift card area.

Yes, I agree with the poster above. My MIL was able to buy our kids Disney gift cards from her grocery store (Kroger) and gave them as a surprise before we left. The kids thought they were so cool having their own "money" to spend in the gift shops.

Call your resort and ask the gift shop if you can buy gift cards with your Disney Rewards card. I have never tried to do this before. I think the kids will love being able to control their own funds.

They sell them at Walgreens. And there is no cost for them except what you are depositing on them

I don't know about at the parks but I know you can go to www.disneygiftcard.com and buy your gc AND pay for them with a Disney Rewards Redemption card. There are tons of card themes to choose from and various money amounts.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions ~ much appreciated!! Skysmom99 ~ that is exactly what I did ~ thanks so much!! Now they will have their own spending money ~ and I was able to use the rewards dollars that I have to pay for them. (By the way, you are right ~ they have so many cute cards ~ got them each a different one ~ with the same dollar amount of course!) Getting excited!!

OP, I think you're asking if you can use the Disney Dream Rewards to purchase the gift cards onsite, yes? They are available at a lot of retailers, but I think you mean if you could use the DDR at WDW to get the gift cards. Best thing would be to call the resort where you're staying and ask them.

Yes, you are right ~ that was what I was asking, but the responses back did help ~ because skysmom99 gave me the idea to get a gift card online that I was able to order and pay for with my disney rewards card ~ so I did that, but, now that you mention it, I think I will call the resort also and ask that question because I may want to get another gift card while I am there ~ these forums are so helpful! Thanks!!

I'm getting my kids Disney gift cards for Christmas (planning ahead) so I've been on that site recently.

The Disney Stores sell gift cards and you might be able to use the rewards points there too!!
