Disney Gift Card , Easily accepted?

Hi Everyone,

I was looking to see if anyone had any info on how easy or difficult it is to use the Disney Gift Cards at Walt Disney World? On The Disneyshopping.com web site its says they can be used at particapting locations , we talking like visa/mastercard or like maybe here or there?

:confused3 My dd12 is saving her babysitting money and want's to get one of these cards for our trip. Anyone use one yet???? thanks. :dance3:
 
I got 2 but haven't used them yet...
 
OT but, they say that it is reloadable.Ive been saving for my trip and buying cards for one days expenses.I had gotten a 25.00 one with a web certificate from mypoints and tried to add cash to it this weekend.The Disney store people dont know how to reload it!And you can't do it anywhere else except at the parks.GRRRRR
 

I'd tell them to figure out how to load them. My disney store had to call and find out.

That's their job...it's like going to the bank and someone saying they don't know how to deposit your money. Figure it out.

Sorry that happened to you. I'd call and complain about the store.
 
I had a disney gift card and used it last week. The only problem was that one CM did not know how to use it. They have to hit gift card on the register. Worked like a charm.
 
Thanks for everyone's input . I'm looking to give my niece a card so she can buy her own souvenirs and learn to be responsible with cash/cc !

Not all Disney Store people are idiots. Some of us actually know our jobs and know how to reload a gift card.

actually, it might make for much less stress to simply, politely ask for a manager to help with the transaction.
added benefit is that any listening children will learn consideration from your maturity. :sunny:
 
Ok, let me rephrase my sentence so everyone doesn't take everything so literally.

I just meant that I wouldn't have taken "I don't know how to reload them" as an answer. Thus stating, it's their job to figure it out and asking them if there was anyone they could ask to figure out how to reload them (manager, another store, etc)

Again, my store didn't know how as well either. They were great and stated they were calling to find out what to do. It was great that they did this but I didn't throw a fit. I would have gotten upset if they treated me like the other DIS member and gave me that answer and sent me on my way...

PS - didn't mean that I was going to throw a temper tantrum on the floor.
 
BTW it was the manager who told me that they didnt know how to do it, so that wasnt really going to help.
It was really busy or else i would have made them call and figure it out.I will just use the new 35.00 card to start another days expenses, and try again next week.
