Disney Gift Card Deals

How convenient that the transfer option has been omitted until after the ticket price increase. We're going to order our tickets over the phone and pay with 10 gift cards tomorrow.
The WHAT?! More info please!

ETA: FWIW my vote is there is 0 relationship between ticket price increase and the gift card transfer function. There's no reason for it.

I'm guessing that future ticket price increases will be tied to expiration dates. That way, Disney can maximize their profit from ticket upgrades. As I understand it, an unused expired ticket will be credited towards the purchase of a usable ticket. I am not sure if wholesale tickets will use their purchase price or the previous gate price, though.

That's how Disneyland does it so they have the infrastructure to do it. Idk the wholesale part though.

Those are the only ones that are being sold, all the other vendors have sold out of non expiring tickets.

I think you misunderstood me. I think the next price increase will be mated to an expiration date change from 12/18 to 12/19.

If you purchased a ticket today, it would expire on December 31, 2018. At some point prior to 12/31/18, Disney will need to start selling tickets with a different expiration date. I believe that the next time they increase prices, which could be whenever, it will be accompanied by a change in the expiration date. It doesn't have to be the end of the calendar year (or even the end a month). They could choose any date they want. Remember, Disney has a mountain of data on park attendance and will use it to maximize their returns.

went to Sam's club earlier to buy a $500 Disney GC with GCs i earned from swagbucks. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE! i went to self checkout and scanned the first two Gcs with no problem, an error screen popped up when i scanned the third. the attendant told me to go to customer service. while there the nice lady tried to check me out and it required a manager override. she suggested we combine all of my E-card onto an actual card. when transferring, it required an override for every single e-card. took over an hour and 3 different managers.:sad2: finally, i checked out and had no problems. the GC went through without a hitch. just a heads up to those who have multiple gcs.:o

Yes and I have been getting some 5 point videos. Tomorrow is Blue Friday so if your close to select stores you can get some big kicks!

For those who use Shopkick, I noticed that not only are many stores offering big walk-in kicks for Blue Friday, including Best Buy with 100, you can also earn 4 kicks/$1 for purchases at Best Buy today. That's 2x the usual rate. If you have BBY GCs you're waiting to redeem, it might be a good day to make a trip to Best Buy today.

So anyone in/around the Chattanooga, Tennessee area been able to buy a Disney gift card with a Target gift card lately?

Was wanting to get Disney Gift Cards today at the Gunbarrel Road Target and there were none to be found. Hope this is temporary...
