Disney Gift Card Deals

Kool- if you don't mind my asking are you using the Ebay cards to then purchase Disney cards or pay off the trip? More advantageous than just purchasing Disney cards outright?

^ Susie, may I ask why you would recommend doing that? Is it because otherwise they might suspect some sort of fraud or reseller activity and opt not to sell the cards?

Because when playing this game it's best to stay below the radar. A $2,000 purchase in a single transaction doesn't exactly fit that definition especially when many Target Brick and Mortar stores have instituted policies against using gift cards to purchase other gift cards. In addition, you also have FINCEN's gift card regulations that many stores have cited to limit the purchase of gift cards to $2,000. In other words, your transaction may raise some eyebrows.

If you can't spend these quickly - you should consider getting a bigger target card with them so the numbers don't get hacked/drained.
Can you combine them into a larger one? Can I get a physical target GC and add these to them even though they're only egift cards?

So are you thinking 2 or 4 separate charges are advisable instead? Different days, stores, etc? I'm going through the trouble of buying the cards as I stand to net about $120 in savings if my #'s add up.

Something similar happened to us today i bought $600 (3 $200 ) ebay egift card may 9th received via email gift cards tried to redeem them today for the promo and 2 of them had 0 balance and 1 had $37 balance and the gift card is linked to someones else account. We called target ebay paypal each of them telling us to call each department my husband demanded for research on what is going on. ebay requested proof of purchases and egift card numbers to research what is going on So im not sure at this point what is going to happen. Target csr said i was out of luck since someone got to my account and took the numbers only thing i could do was file a police report. I think there is more to this if its happening to other people. Ill keep you posted to what happens
Ok Now I am concerned after 2 posts like this.... I can't find any (if there is any) older info on how to check the balance of your ebay gc ( i have a couple I never put into paypal) anyone know how to check the balance without using them?
oops.. I found a link to check the balance- here it is in case anyone is interested....

If it were me I'd probably do 4 $500 transactions On 2 different days (get $500 on the way in then do my shopping and get $500 more with my merchandise at another cashier). I shop at target a lot so it wouldn't be a burden to me to split it up. $2000 is a fairly large transaction and I would be afraid of being denied as a reseller (all the targets near my house have that notice up when you walk in about not selling to resellers).

I have combined small cards into larger cards by asking at the customer service desk at a Target store. I don't know of a way to do it online.
There was no problem. They are used to people accumulating $5 and $10 cards as part regular promotions, and I'm sure I wasn't the first person who wanted to have all their money on one card.

The only way to do it online that I am aware of is to use up to 4 smaller cards to purchase 1 larger one. You used to be able to transfer balances via the old mobile website (where you logged in with your mobile # and a 4 digit pin) but that version of the site has been gone for months. I also have combined those $5/$10 promo cards at the service desk.

I frequently purchase a larger denomination Target gift card online and pay with up to four smaller denomination cards, both egift and physical cards. The only drawback I found is that The website only offers certain denominations so if you have odd amounts on your cards you'd have to round up to the card with nearest dollar amount by adding a small amount out of pocket.

I'm actually using them to purchase Carnival gift cards on eBay when eBay bucks promos are out there as I have two carnival cruises planned. I don't have a current Disney trip planned. I but eBay at target with my red card to get the 5% back. Overall, I was saving about 15%. If I was using gift cards to pay I would buy much smaller amounts.

If your online BB order is going to be cancelled, how long does it usually take? Just thought I would try my luck with it, but I'm expecting it to cancel.

For those who are buying Disney GC in stores with physical Target GCs, is there any way to get the 5% RedCard applied to the entire order, like we do online, if we charged a small amount to the RedCard (i.e. buy $300 Disney and charge $5 to the RedCard), or are the registers in the store smarter than the online platform where we may only get 5% of the $5 that was charged?

Not possible. You'll only get 5% off the 5$.

I usually hear back within 30 minutes. I placed an order a little over an hour ago for four $50 Disney cards plus a box of k-cups that were on sale. The store opens in 45 minutes so hopefully I'll get a message that it's ready for pickup soon after. My Ebates of $2.06 already posted.

It would only allow me to add 3 $50 eBay cards to my cart. Does that mean that is all they have in stock?
