Disney Gift Card Deals

GCM has had the verbage on their ebay listing for a few months to be watching for the availability of digital codes. I wonder if they are pulling the physical cards and moving to the digital ones? Would be cheaper I would think for them to email a code vs. having an individual ship all these physical cards. Also, cut down on all these delivery issues that seem to be happening. Idk...just talking out loud and hoping they aren't just pulling Target cards altogether...
That sure would be nice:)

Can anyone tell me how to generate the EBay Bucks promos? We have two accounts; one in each of our names, one old/one new, and both are registered for the program. We have yet to receive a single promotion on either account.

The auto trigger thing is going to get old fast if I end up with a stack of $20 cards. I bought WDW tickets - $20 bonus. Put down a deposit on a new cruise - $20. Paid off my upcoming cruise - $20. Loaded my onboard cruise account with $1000 - $20 bonus. All but the latter of these, I popped back into my DVA, but if they all didn't have pins, that's a stack of 4 cards I'm carrying around with me on my vacation.

Oh, ok so every time you withdraw... I only withdraw once, to pay off my balance.

No one has figured out what causes Ebay to target you. You just register for the program like you've done. Some have guessed that you should check the boxes to have them email you promos and offers. But I don't think that matters. I think you can still qualify and you just won't get emailed. I've been targeted for most offers, but not for a couple of them. One time I wasn't targeted, I was sitting on a pile of EBucks waiting to be spent. May be related, may not.

Just wanted to update everyone went to GS to get eBay card with gc they didn't say a thing and they sell visa gc.
Did they say they would let you buy with GC?

You have to spend it to auto-trigger the bonus. Doesn't matter what's in the account.
Is there a setting for auto trigger? I have spent almost $6000 in the past year and haven't had any cards sent to me. I haven't asked for any either.

I'm not sure. I've always requested them and received them so I don't know if they would have come anyway.

No I didn't ask and I didn't try I was updating on a comment that the gc-gc might be going away because of the addition of visa gc at GS. As of today it still works and I saw the visa gc at the GS too.

IMO I don't think there is a rush going on for these cards. If you look at the purchases they average 4-5 purchases per hour.
Wrong.( I wish it were right) this is a big deal,as far as numbers go,and it started before this thread.... it is WAY bigger than disney trips,it is a major churning avenue. So the numbers could very well be changing...I am telling you that this little group with a specific goal is small potatoes in contrast to the much larger pool of what's being run through here.... it's currently a very popular thing to do.

Things would stay in stock longer if everyone would relax a little (both here and elsewhere). Get back to slow and steady... I noticed cards came in stock on the 6% day and then again yesterday... didn't even think twice about it cuz it's just business as usual. If you see that and post about it, you're just creating a false sense of urgency for everyone to race to buy them immediately and deplete the supply. This in turn just hurts your own profit.

You will make more money doing this if you stay calm, quiet, and unnoticed.

I love discussing methods and process changes, but just creating a race every time something comes in stock will only serve to deplete supply. :-/

Things would stay in stock longer if people wouldn't make provocative posts about how much money they made.

I was thinking they might be phasing out Target on Ebay, but I like your idea much better :thumbsup2

Me too!

I just emailed GCM and asked if they plan to restock or are they phasing them out. I have very low expectations of getting any sort of a viable answer but I wanted to at least try.

Someone had contacted GCM about them selling Disney GC's and it seemed like they got a response so maybe you will get one too. I almost contacted them earlier but got busy with something else. Let us know if you hear back!

So I've gone back and read the last 10 or so pages and i'm having a hard time figuring out what the current scheme is people are using.

Lots of talk of target, ebay and GCM (gift card mall?)

I looked at ebay and found that all of the target gift cards were selling for more than face value....very strange. I know you can get 5% of buying stuff at Target with a gift card, but why not just go to the store and buy it at face value?????

During our last trip I was able to use the RX 5% coupon stacked on top of the red card 5% off....that's all I ever did, but with the RX discount gone I'm trying to figure out the best discounts now for Disney gift Cards.

Sorry if these kinds of post happen all the time, I did look back but couldn't find one.

Thanks in advance.

I contacted them several months ago asking when they were planning on restocking as they had been out a long time. I got a canned response that ebay runs their GCM account and not them so it would be whenever ebay restocked.

Most of us use gift card mall on eBay to buy Target cards. But they are out of stock and the future is uncertain. My plan was buy eBay cards at Kroger when they have 4x fuel points, use those to buy target gift cards, then buy eBay gift cards from Target (in store most of the time), etc. until I'm ready to cash out for Disney.

I figured that might be the response I'll get. I just feel helpless not knowing what's going on.
