Disney Gift Card Deals

So I've gone back and read the last 10 or so pages and i'm having a hard time figuring out what the current scheme is people are using.

Lots of talk of target, ebay and GCM (gift card mall?)

I looked at ebay and found that all of the target gift cards were selling for more than face value....very strange. I know you can get 5% of buying stuff at Target with a gift card, but why not just go to the store and buy it at face value?????

During our last trip I was able to use the RX 5% coupon stacked on top of the red card 5% off....that's all I ever did, but with the RX discount gone I'm trying to figure out the best discounts now for Disney gift Cards.

Sorry if these kinds of post happen all the time, I did look back but couldn't find one.

Has anyone purchased and used gift cards for Delta? I see a lot of posts about SW, they are PPDG so I know all about that issue but if you get past them any one have success using them? Thanks.

Most of us use gift card mall on eBay to buy Target cards. But they are out of stock and the future is uncertain. My plan was buy eBay cards at Kroger when they have 4x fuel points, use those to buy target gift cards, then buy eBay gift cards from Target (in store most of the time), etc. until I'm ready to cash out for Disney.

2. Then use the ebay gift cards on Ebay's gift card mall (http://stores.ebay.com/GiftCardMall) and buy target gift cards. Is there a discount here? Or just just did this step to use the ebay gift cards that you got fuel points for)
3. Take target gift cards to target and buy disney gift cards at a 5% discount.

No enroll in ebucks (get eBay credit to use in the future based on current purchase) and hope for good promos (up to 10% possible during promos) plus go through ebates to get 1% back

No either buy in store with gift card and get no discount or try to order online with red card as default payment method and get 5% off (seems to be a glitch since that is not given in store)

On 2, usually only eBay bucks (2%) but you may get bonus eBay bucks offers (up to 10%).

On 3, you have to do it online with redcard set as default payment.

This is the process I use because I can tolerate the risk and it's pretty easy. Others do it much differently. Also, this only works if gift card mall has target gift cards in stock and target continues to allow gift cards to be used to purchase gift cards.

This would be one way to do it. There are lots of different ways we go about it.

Yes, GCM sells for face value plus shipping.

Your best bet is to read back further than 10 pages, skip over all the OT chatter as we do tend to get OT some when nothing is going on in the GC churning world Right now, there are several 'stars' not aligned and this process isn't working as well. So, right now, reading would be the best use of your time while we wait to see how the dust is going to settle. The deal may be dead for the way we have been churning or it could come back to life. No one knows right now.

In case the whole target gift card mall thing is "dead" (I'm not jumping to any conclusions just thinking down the road) how much can you buy through paypal digital per certain time frame? I mean without locking down your PayPal account or anything? I know they don't have target cards but there are some other options to cash out my eBay cards.

I tried and was locked out of paypal. I have never used PPDG until I tried this. I was only buying $200. I'm not willing to risk my paypal account getting locked up again.

Wrong.( I wish it were right) this is a big deal,as far as numbers go,and it started before this thread.... it is WAY bigger than disney trips,it is a major churning avenue. So the numbers could very well be changing...I am telling you that this little group with a specific goal is small potatoes in contrast to the much larger pool of what's being run through here.... it's currently a very popular thing to do.

I doesn't matter if people are rushing, or not rushing, to purchase the cards. If they ONLY have 1000 - 2000 cards in stock at a time, they are never going to be able to meet the demand and will sell out quickly (even if those in this thread were the only customers).

GCM's low stock is odd, but weirder to me is the eBay cards coming and going from Target's site. What a bizarre day. I don't think it's over--just hoping above all that GCM recovers their stock. I happen to think under-stock is the problem, not spiked demand.

It also helps to use the scan gun located at the side of the terminal (more precise), and cover the big barcode with your finger when scanning.

Thanks all! Trying to avoid any unnecessary attention. I freaked these guys out when I went in a couple weeks ago and purchased $2,000 worth ebay. HMM now that I think about this, maybe I will wait a bit and see what's going on with GCM
