My GCM order from Monday should arrive today. I don't know whether to convert it back to eBay or go to Disnsy. The GCM supply issues are a bit unnerving. I just keep thinking that the jig is up.

UPS or USPS? My cards appear to be in Colorado (lucky them!) . . .

Just checked GCM and it looks like they're completely out of Target cards. That seems odd to me since they restocked after the last ebuck promo and it's only been a few days.

Just thinking out loud here (I have the 'jig is up' feeling here too), but could it be that a bunch of people hurried up to buy their cards even though there wasn't a promo!? Or that they just didn't have a bunch to stock after the promo?

Lol, mine were in Sandston, VA yesterday as well. I live in Prince George so should receive mine today. I haven't ordered a high enough value yet for them to ship UPS, but USPS has at least been on the ball.
Yeah, USPS has been great. I'm too nervous to order more than $450 at a time:)

On May 5th I ordered a $50 Disney gift card through target.com using two target gift cards and the remaining balance with my red card. On May 7th I got an email that my order has been delayed. That's fine I'm in no rush.

This morning I receive another email that my order is being delayed until the 24th-26th. If I want to I cancel or keep my order. If I do nothing they will cancel it automatically.

When I try to look at the order to choose an option it tells me I can't view it. It has been saying this every time I look at it not just today. It shows processing on my account page but then when I go to view the actual single order it errors.

Anyone know how long it will take for the auto cancel?

Has everyone been getting their Disney gift card orders lately?

When autocancelled will the funds return immediately to the gift cards?

Ugh, I just want to cancel and start over.
I ordered 3 on Saturday and received them yeaterday.

Absolutely. After the 5% being removed then put back last month, I've realized no matter how hard I analyze this, I really have no clue what's going on.

I usually order $900 (6 $150) gift cards per order from gcm to minimize the shipping costs. I'm starting to think I would be better off ordering 4 cards per order so they will be shipped usps. I don't know if it's where I live bus ups takes forever to deliver. (I live in Connecticut) I ordered my cards at 8:02 Monday morning and they were shipped out on Tuesday. The ups scheduled delivery date isn't until next Wednesday.
In this day and age over a week is a really long time to get a delivery. Is usps any better? I would love to hear your experiences with them. Thanks!!
I'm in MA and stopped ordering the larger amounts. Whenever I ordered the smaller amounts it came a few days earlier via USPS. However my order Monday was just shipped yesterday via usps and is still in Colorado so that's not very fast either. I'll update when I get it

I was wondering the same thing-I also wondered if people might need to cash out soon for upcoming trips so if they missed the promo on Monday (which I did because I was waiting on target gift cards to arrive that day) that once they restocked they just ordered anyway (I did not because I was waiting on a bonus offer).

  • I live in Illinois (not Chicago) and the post office always takes right at a week for delivery.
  • I ordered at 8:15 a.m. Monday and my delivery via UPS is scheduled today (Friday). Of course I haven't actually received it, but it's due this afternoon, signature required. I've gotten two emails that I should expect it.

Has anyone buy $500 worth of GC all at once at Target? Did cashier took a double look at you?

Heh I've bought 114 cards in one visit. Over $5000. This was back in the pharmacy-rewards days when you could double up on 5% discounts and it made sense to buy all you could on that one coupon. Cashier didn't care. Thought it was smart.

C'mon Target, stop messing with us. It's long past April fools.

But it is Friday the 13th...

Going to be honest. I think removing the Ebay limit was a curse, not the blessing I initially thought. We have gained nothing if the cards sell out like hot cakes. Not to mention the added traffic through Target potentially raising eyebrows.

These repurcussions were all mentioned when the change occurred... opening up the floodgates was a bad thing. What we used to do to slowly generate money for vacations over the course of a year turned into people trying to cram $30k thru these sites in a few short months. I'm no exception of course, I greatly raised my own volume too...

I'm hoping that it's something like that too. What's odd is that the last 100 transactions are mostly $150's. They'll typically sell out of $150's then $100's and finally $50's as people buy what's left.

That's what I was thinking. I also think that, perhaps with a bunch of new churners (not sure how many.. just speculating) that they are willing to churn their cards w/o a promo. I know when I first started my first 3 or so churns were w/o promos because I didn't get them!

i might be late with this news....but target online has $100 Disney gift cards available. i know when i ordered them several weeks ago, only the $50 cards were available online. the $100 ones are 3 limit per transaction.

Yes, they came back in stock on Saturday.

Looks like they only restocked a 1000 cards this last time.

I honestly think (and hope!) this has a lot to do with it. I was waiting for an ebucks promo but had to cash out $900 after the last promo because our trip is coming up soon. With the busy summer season approaching, a lot of people may have been in the same boat.

Things would stay in stock longer if everyone would relax a little (both here and elsewhere). Get back to slow and steady... I noticed cards came in stock on the 6% day and then again yesterday... didn't even think twice about it cuz it's just business as usual. If you see that and post about it, you're just creating a false sense of urgency for everyone to race to buy them immediately and deplete the supply. This in turn just hurts your own profit.

You will make more money doing this if you stay calm, quiet, and unnoticed.

I love discussing methods and process changes, but just creating a race every time something comes in stock will only serve to deplete supply. :-/
