Disney Gift Card Deals

I do it in case I need a refund - that way I only haveto keep track on one card per $1000

If you ask for a giftcard instead of a refund, DVA will send you everything (up to $1k) on one gift card.

Prior to disneygiftcard.com allowing you to combine cards, I used to load my DVA using multiple cards and then request a gift card of my balance in order to combine them. :thumbsup2

Interesting info I just read for those of us who purchase Target gift cards at Kroger . . . along with the new chip technology, it appears they are adding restrictions on how many gift cards you can buy in a 24 hour period. Hopefully at some point, we'll be able to determine the limit.

They have always told me the limit is (I think) $1000 per day - might be $1500 --- I can't remember. I used to get Disney gc to pay our dues but last year got the cards at Target so my memory is fuzzy. I am not sure this is something new.

I bought about $450 worth of GCs at Kroger a week or two ago when they had their 4x promotion just for the weekend. The cashier did comment that she wasn't sure if the register would "let" her complete the transaction. It did, but I wonder if I was bumping the limit?

It's a bummer that there will be a limit (though just for 24 hours), but ultimately maybe it will reduce the number of cards purchased with stolen CC numbers. $3.9 billion in counterfeit purchases is pretty incredible!

I bought $800 of Target gift cards at the customer service desk two weekends ago with no issue. I've never heard of a limit. But I can't really see buying gift cards from Kroger more than twice in a 24 hour period so that doesn't concern me at this point.

So did I!

If anyone did the best buy route and you haven't gone to pick up your ebay cards yet, Mypoints is having an in-store deal also.

You go to the more tab on mypoints, then in-store promotion. You have to take the QR code in to best buy, they scan it and ring up your purchase. Then upload your receipt on mypoints.

I wasn't sure if they would give me the points since i was buying gift cards, but I tried anyway and it only took one day for them to add the 2000 points and they are available not pending! I bought $400 in ebay cards.

Earn up to 3,000 Points
• Spend $49.99 or less — earn 200 Points
• Spend $50-$99.99 — earn 400 Points
• Spend $100-$249.99 — earn 1,000 Points
• Spend $250-$499.99 — earn 2,000 Points
• Spend $500 or more — earn 3,000 Points

Points awarded will be based upon the subtotal of your receipt. Exchanges, taxes & fees are not eligible.

Did requesting a GC from your DVA count towards the $20 bonus? I've thought about opening one but also want to rent DVC for next year so the only thing I'd be able to pay for out of the DVA would be park tickets.

In other news, I am missing out on 5X eBay bucks because I'm still waiting on my GC's from the 3X promo last week. If I had known eBay was going to do promos so often I would not have done the 3X! I could get another $150 if I pay $23.75 OOP but then I'd pay the $3 in shipping and end up with net $12 in eBucks. Not sure it's worth the effort.

I did get $45 in Target cards for net $18 OOP today though! I had $22 on Visa debit cards from rebates that I put towards it, plus I will get $5 back from an AmEx offer for spending $15 at Rite Aid.

I also saw something else interesting there - a PayPal funds transfer card. Has anyone seen these or tried one before? I read over the terms quickly and basically you can load funds onto this card, which has a PIN number that will allow you to transfer the funds into your PayPal account. There was a $3.95 activation fee for the card. I almost picked that up to see if they'd let me load it with a credit card but then I found a 3-pack of $15 Target cards & decided to go with that. I was also worried that my CC might treat it as a cash advance, which I'd have no way of knowing in advance.

Doesn't seem worth the risk to me. I need my paypal to spend my ebay gift cards ;)

A GC from your DVA does not count towards the $20 bonus. I opened a DVA last spring and was able to use it for my DVC dues and park tickets. Both counted towards the $20 bonus for me.

I believe this is something new thats being put in place by month end. For me, it will depend on what their limit is on gift card purchases. If, for example, they limit us to $500 (thats a random number - no idea what it will be) per 24 hour period, we will be forced to purchase over multiple days. Not a big deal with the longer 4x promos, but it might be an issue with the 1-3 day ones. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Hoping it will be a non-issue.

We'll definitely have to wait and see but I understood the article to be saying the number of transactions may be limited in a 24-hour period, not the dollar amount of a transaction. There's a similar article on consumerist which says Kroger has already implemented this. Clear as mud!

Today was a record for me. I got home late last night from disneyland, so I didn't read about the 5X on here until this morning. I logged on to target and ordered ebay cards and they were in my inbox 20 minutes later! SO fast today! I was impatient so I tried after an hour and they were active. That was the fastest ever, so glad I checked today!

That's fantastic! Mine always seem to take at least three hours.

My bad . . . the article does say number of transactions as opposed to dollars (a good thing).

We should be seeing the Easter 4x promo soon . . .

I've tried searching but not having luck finding any help on this...all I can find are posts saying it works, but nobody seems to be having the issue I am.

When I buy ebay gift cards at target online and use my redcard, should I be getting the 5% discount? It shows up at first but then takes me to the page where you enter to: from: email: for the gift cards and then the 5% disappears. I'm still getting 5% off on Disney cards. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you!

You have a small non-GC Item in your cart, too? And have entered your Target REDcard info?

Enter to to/from info and continue and before you confirm and pay ("complete order"), below the Summary box on the right that shows your totals, there's a blue link that says something like "Pay with a gift card." Click on that and then enter your GC info. The discount *should* stick.

None of the best buy stores anywhere close have eBay cards in stock. I tried placing an order for a store in my mom's hometown, but the order keeps getting cancelled. I checked out as a guest using all of her information so should could pick them up for me. The cancellation email says: "Unfortunately, we were unable to verify your information, so we canceled item(s) from your order."

Anyone get this before? I am trying to buy $400 worth, so maybe the amount is raising a red flag? Anyone else had any trouble ordering online? What if she went into the store, would they allow her to make the purchase?
