I just got the 5 x and I haven't ever bought gift cards from EBay, so I guess it might be a good time to give it a try! I don't have any eBay gift cards to use, can I just use one of my credit cards to purchase the target gift cards or is that not a good idea? I understand the churning and it is better to have a an eBay gift card to use. My question is is it still worthwhile to do the purchase even with a credit card instead?

With 5x eBay rewards, yes I would use a credit card!! (Provided you pay it off monthly...) I would say it's a perfect place to start churning - I mean you have to start SOMEWHERE!

It won't show the bonus ebay bucks until you get to checkout. If it doesn't show there, check and make sure you are activated on the offer.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread, but another way I've gotten discounted ebay cards is through mypoints emails for swappable.

I have another one that expires today and if you purchase at least $100 in gift cards through the email link, you receive 2,500 mypoints which is worth about $17.50 (I think). I've purchased a few Ebay gift cards through those offers and they always credit right away.

Just throwing that out there in case anyone has seen those emails - they do work!

I feel breathless... I did a big order from ebay today.... so if I keep it somewhat simple(lol) my saving should average about 8% for our overall Disney trip expenses.... Whew! (I'm too mentally tired to calculate the cc rewards into all of that,an added bonus overall)

I have a $50 Target gift card and received the 5x eBucks deal. Should I first use the $50 Target card to buy a $50 eBay card (to get my RedCard discount) and then use that eBay card towards a $150 Target card?

First time ordering a gift card from eBay and I can only get the $150 one right now. If I understand correctly, I will get $15 in eBucks that I can use towards another $50 Target gift card (eventually). Not counting rebates from shopping portals, is this the plan for me or am I going to lose out on any savings with the shipping charges?

Shipping is $2.99 for the first card, $.99 for each additional card of the same denomination, shipped in the same order.

Just be aware that target doesn't always ship ebay gift cards immediately (I've had it take more than a day), and then it takes about 4 hours for the ebay gift card to activate. It is possible that giftcardmall could sell out of 150s, and possibly even 100s for target in that time. One of the risks of churning.

Apparently I don't have quite as much ebay gc limit availability as I thought and I was only able to order 2 $150 gc from ebay. I used 11 $25 gc and 4 small gc, plus $2.81 of my paypal balance. I think I can do another 800 tomorrow, assuming there's any gc left, lol (I placed a large order Sept 16, so maybe I can try again tonight).

I then went to targets website and used some of my stored gc and ordered 3 $100 ebay cards and a clearance tshirt, with ebates. I got my ebay gc less than an hour after I placed the order, my ebates notice 40 minutes after the gc, and the shipment notice from target about an hour and a half after the order was placed. So, not too bad.

The ebates are 5.78, and I should get 306 SB and 30 in ebay bucks, so 9.6% profit and a shirt so far, not too bad

So, I have spent the morning spinning my wheels and I am so frustrated!

I'm not sure what to do. There may be nothing I can do. I got the 3x on my account. My dh got the 5x. His account is rarely used. Like once a year. Mine is heavily used. Both accounts were linked to my paypal until recently when I decided to open him his own Paypal. He does use Paypal to pay for other things and many times he uses my balance that I am saving. And it would open the 5k limit back up. So, we opened the account, linked a bank & credit card...all looks good...BUt I am getting an error on his account when I try to check out. It will not even let me choose Paypal and wants to force me to use a credit card. I have contacted paypal through the messaging center. No help. The new paypal is linked to his ebay, which is basically all Paypal could offer as help. I have been trying to figure this out for 3 stinking hours. Anyways, thanks for letting me vent.

Oh, and $150's are now gone...

While you are signed into his Ebay/Paypal account clear your history (including cookies and cache). This may clear things up.
I was ordering stuff from sears and it wouldn't let me use paypal - kept getting errors. Once I cleared all the history WHILE BEINGSIGNED INTO THE ACCOUNT - all was fine.
Not sure if this will solve it but its worth a shot.

I cleared my cache already and that did not help (nor did changing browsers or restarting my computer). I don't think I know how to clear the cookies. Thanks for trying to help.

Have you verified your new account? Sometimes you have to log in to Paypal to do that as well, or check to see if Paypal sent your husband and email to do that. Good luck!

Hmm, he did not say anything about that? I know I did the banking thing...where they send your bank a couple of small deposits and you go in and confirm the amounts. Is that the same thing as verifying? I opened my own Paypal in 2003 so I really do not remember what all the steps are!!

Thanks! I don't know what I was thinking this morning. I know there are better ways of getting eBay gift cards, but realized buying e gift eBay cards from target would be better than just using my credit card. By the time I figured that out and how many I wanted the $150's were sold out. But I ordered $100 target gift cards instead. Is there a limit to how many $100 cards you can order in the two days he promtion is on? Also can you combine paying with eBay gift cards and PayPal? Or does it have to be one or the other?
