Disney Gift Card Deals

After figuring out what we will be spending I now realize I still need about $100 more of Disney gift cards. Got called into work tonight so will not be able to pick them up so I called the store just to see how many they still had in hopes I could run over there tomorrow. Talked to some one who said they did not have any out but had about 60 of them in the back. Thought this may be useful information to others who are not seeing them at your store. You might want to ask a sales person to check storage.

Except that eBay limits the number of cards you can use in a single transaction to 8. So that would mean you could only churn $200 at a time, which would drive up your shipping costs. You'd still come out a little ahead, but not by as much.

Just curious - I can't find anything about there being a limit of 8 GCs. The only limit I can find is a maximum of $500 in GCs per transaction. Do you know where they say 8?

This website will check inventory for you. It's accurate, but they may not have everything out on the floor. I picked up 18 cards at one store today and saw the inventory drop immediately. While there were a few left on the rack, the site still shows 100+, so there must be plenty in the back somewhere.

Well, gee, thanks for posting that. I just checked and it says that my store does have them in the electronics department. It may merit another trip, but I might call first to see if they will work with the $5 bonus.

I don't know if it's officially stated anywhere on the eBay site, but that's what I've read here from other members & confirmed through personal experience.

I know this is a legitimate sale, but I would caution people on calling the stores. In the past, this has prompted stores to changes the sales and promos, i.e. Providing The $5 GC only on the 50.00 GC, not the 25.00. Just a word to the wise. Good luck to everyone on the quest to save money for Disney as we all know how expensive it can be.

Just wanted to clarify -for the target deal, right now you can purchase 2 $25 gift cards and get a $5 target gift card? Or buy 4 $25 giftcard and get a $5 target card? Thanks!

GREAT advice!

You can consolidate on ebay by purchasing a $200 ebay card to be emailed to you. Then use that card to buy your Target cards. Only downside is that it eats in to your $5K gift card purchase limit.

I have found that the $500 max is not enforced. I have frequently purchased more than this in one transaction. But using 8 gift cards is enforced. Doctor of Credit has a really good article about ebay gift cards if you want to google it (tried to link but having computer issues this morning).

Calling is pointless. Just go. They will work.

I'm sure they're constantly restocking.

I picked some up at the arboretum this evening. There should still be plenty around town.

You're kidding! I was literally just at the arboretum in the afternoon at around 3. I found none. Where were they?

Does anyone have any tips where in electronics the $25s are located?

I checked the endcap near electronics, and there was only a spot for $50s. I also looked on the counter displays, and there weren't any there.

The inventory checker says there are some in stock, but I have no clue where they would be?

When I went there were $25 gift cards on some of the register endcaps and on an aisle in electronics (not the endcap). You just have to look around, because gift cards are kept in various places all around the store.... and each store I went to was different.

Now that I think about ....

I've been to a few stores and always found them on an endcap on one (and only one) register. They've always been in the same location on that display. At the arboretum, someone had placed a different card in front of them. Since they're always in that same spot I knew where to look, and there were quite a few behind that one random card.

Cool link! Unfortunately, I called to verify that a store had some and they said they do not. The tracker shows they have 104.

My Target has two main places they display their gift cards other than the registers. An end cap as you enter the the electronics dept. that is all itunes and a large one with all types strategically placed so that it's seen from the wrapping paper isle, toys and electronics. This is the one I planned to head to as made my way throughout the store. Along the way there were several cardboard displays wiped out and when I got to the large one, it was decimated too. As I was headed toward the registers around the corner there was an isle across from the CDs filled with gift cards. At least half the isle was gift cards largely untouched because people don't know they're there. So look in the "entertainment section" by the movies and CDs, electronics, places where are people are likely to grab a quick add on gift, toys, wrapping paper, kitchen gadgets. Most of the time if an employee isn't in that dept. that pts them up, they don't know they're there. I guess what I'm saying is no one can really give an "they'll be in X spot" answer, you just have to hunt them down.
