Disney Gift Card Deals

The tracker shows 136 for my store but I've talked to two managers and the guy in electronics who seemed to be 'in the know' on the gift cards and all said they were completely sold out. I've scoured the store too and looked behind other gift cards even. Tracker shows they are there but I am not sure how to find them.

I checked 2 Targets, looking for 12 more cards. I came up with 6 so that's better than nothing. I also found out that the $15 Starbucks cards were included in the "Buy 2" promo so I snagged 2 of those also. Now I can get my caffeine this weekend while I am working:drinking1.

Now that I've bought my park passes, I have to start working on SWA gift cards. Our flights open up in February so I have to get on it. I only have 1 card so far ($100) and I need to get about $800 more, preferably in $200 increments. I'm hoping to have enough RR points to cover at least one, maybe 2, of our tickets. At today's prices, I would be about 3,000 points short, but I am due for my anniversary bonus (6,000 points) in March. Hopefully, the WGA fares will stick around within my price range:goodvibes.

Has anyone else had trouble using your target red debit card being fairly new? They declined my purchase yesterday for $670 (this was my 4th or 5th time to use my card). I called yesterday and the girl told me that I have to build a purchase history before I can use it for a higher amount but can't tell me what that is. Today I called again and asked for a supervisor who said the same thing. Said no idea how much would be approved or how long it takes to build a history. I asked what a safe purchase amount is and she said it varies by account and they can't tell me that. I started to ask another question and she hung up on me. I am beyond frustrated with this red card.

Someone had the same problem a few pages back as well. But I wonder if you can break up your purchase into multiple purchases. Maybe $200.00, $200.00, $200.00, $70.00?

How much had you put on the card and in what span of time? Maybe just too much, too soon?? I really don't know.

I have the store credit card. I get frustrated b/c I have had my card for almost 6 years, and yet my credit limit on it is $500. Never has been increased though I have requested an increase. Never been late on a payment or anything. So, I can only charge $500 and then I have to make a payment and wait. Or ask them for the 5% discount on another form of payment, which they have agreed to do for me the couple of times I have asked.

I have had mine for about a year, and at first I wouldn't make any purchases over $300 now I did $500 with no problem. You don't know what your limit is unless you call them and ask which is dumb. Just break it into 2 transactions and it should be fine!

The target inventory checker shows over 120 of each available. Yet, when I went in, there were none to be found. It makes me wonder if they were told to take them off the shelves.

Be carefull you can only use 4 types of payment with Southwest which means 3 gift cards and the rest on debit/credit/rewards. I've heard that its best to do 2 one way tickets instead of round trip so that you can use more giftcards.

If a store rep told me they have the $25 gift cards in Disney Visa...do they mean just Disney gift cards? Or is there some prepaid card that is a Disney themed Visa? Anyone know? I am also wondering if they have been told to take them off of the shelves.

The only place I found $25 Disney GC were one a large Christmas gift card display on the end cap of a register.

I should have enough points to cover (4) one-way tickets (to Orlando) so I will need (4) one-way tickets back home. Each ticket should (hopefully) be under $200 so, even if I have to order them all separately, I should be fine with $100 gift cards. I plan on buying $200 SW gift cards so that way I can bunch them in two groups of 2.

I booked the inventory checker as a bookmark first thing this morning when I read about it (and before the Target stores opened) and the three Targets closest to me have not budged, not one gift card. All the numbers have remained the same which I do find hard to believe. So either the tracker is not working (or not updating properly) or there are other issues going on. I have not gone today to Target but my DH did manage to get us 8 more last night and said they had a "decent" amount but not a lot.

None found out on the floor at my local Target, but asking nicely at Guest Services revealed that they had plenty in the back. Acquired 16 cards without much hassle. Let's not be greedy now.

Yeah, I don't have a lot of faith in that inventory tracker either. My local store allegedly has over 160 available....but the displays are empty. I checked this morning and then my DH checked again this afternoon. There are $50 and $100, but the $25 ones are completely gone. There are at least 5 Target stores within 15 miles of my house and I've checked the two which showed the most available inventory and they had none. I managed to buy $850 worth so I am not too disappointed...but that last $150 would be nice.

The inventory tracker matched what they said they had in back at the store. And 20 minutes later it has updated to reflect my purchase.

I was wondering the same thing. My store had none of the $25 ones but tons of the $50 ones. Even the older style ones that they had clearly dug up from somewhere. I had them check their inventory and non anywhere in the store or any of the other stores around me.

I was at target yesterday. They had 2 $25 by the register that were the white and red with mickey like what they sell online. They were not labeled to be part of the deal. I went back to the electronics and found the $50 and $100 that looked the same. I was bummed, but then I looked around a little more and found a huge stack of Blue $25 ones with a present , Mickey, Minnie and Pluto. They were marked Buy 2 get $5. The inventory tracker updated 20 minutes after I bought them.

edit: This is the one just in case anyone went in looking for the red and white ones like I did... https://www.disneygiftcard.com/GiftCard/Detail/plutos-perfect-present

I suppose the baseline could be off in the inventory checker. I'm not sure how often they inventory gift cards, if at all. I find it hard to believe that every store around me has over 100 cards lost or stolen. Instead, I imagine there a box full of random gift cards in the back that they just haven't bothered to sort through yet.

I did notice that two of my local stores increased over night, so that was a sure sign that they had more on the shelves. And the inventory took about an hour to update after I made my purchase.

I'll just add my experience here, in case it helps anyone. Stopped by one Target on the way to a doctor appointment today. The tracker said they had 76 of the $25 Disney cards. I could only find 3 (in the regular gift card aisle in electronics/entertainment). I found a team member holding a scanner and he scanned to look for more. His scanner showed they only had those 3 in store and none in back. I figured someone bought up the rest while I was on my way there or something. However, his scanner showed the other nearby store had 36 in stock. I had called that store Sunday and they had searched the shelves for me and found none. But, on the chance they did have them now, I went to Guest Services of the store I was at and asked them if I could put 26 on hold in the other store. The "trainer" helped me and she was very friendly. She called over and the other store claimed they had none. She thought that was weird, as her computer also showed they had 36, but then she saw that her store showed 76. She went in back and really checked around, but found no more. I just bought two (and got the $5), as I had to get to my doctor appointment.

After the appointment, I had to go to the pharmacy at the other Target (that showed 36). They told me it would be 20 minutes for my prescription, so I slowly walked the loop of the store, searching for gift cards. I didn't find any, but I can tell you about the displays. There was not even a spot for them on the normal display in electronics (just $50 and $100). There was a small 4-sided display of gift cards set up next to the desk in electronics - but none there (and no spot). There was an endcap of gift cards in toys and one in groceries, but neither had a Disney spot. One of the cash registers had a large green endcap devoted to gift cards. There was a spot for $25 Disney cards there, but it was empty. So, I'd look for a display like that by your registers.

I'd check out other nearby stores, but my doctor appointment diagnosed me with pneumonia, so I think I'm out for a couple days. Don't have the energy to run around to any more stores, so I hope someone leaves 26 for me. :goodvibes

Maybe this will help others.
Went to my Target yesterday & looked everywhere (the racks at every register & the display over near Electronics) and could only find the $50 cards. Bought 2 and went home.
This morning I checked the inventory tracker & it said my store had 90 $25 cards in Electronics. Went back to the store. I checked the rack again that seemed to be in the electronics dept.(it was near the phones, cameras, etc.) and couldn't find any.
Asked a sales clerk & he walked me over to a rack in the last aisle of the DVD's - the closest aisle to the entrance door. There were 2 full racks of the $25 cards labelled with the "buy 2 - get $5. Target card.
I guess my idea of "Electronics" and their idea is not the same.
