Disney Gift Card Deals

how important is it that you need to buy a gift card directly from target and then add the gift cards from raise or cardpool to that initial target gift card. I don't have a smartphone but I downloaded the target app on my ipad but I don't see anywhere where you would put any gift cards.

If you are using the GCs from Raise or Cardpool right away, you don't need to add them to a direct from Target card. If you are holding on to the discount GCs for awhile, merging them into one Target GC protects the balance from theft/use by the original GC owner.

It is most important if you are not going to use the cards immediately. Sometimes Target is out of stock and then you have to worry that your card will get used by the original owner. (some people like to do scams like that.) You should be able to go to Targets mobile site on your iPad and do it, I believe. That is where they will redirect you from the app anyhow (at least that is what it does to me.) Just seach for Target on your iPad's search engine, go to Gift Cards.

If you don't have mobile device you can access it on your desktop/laptop by going to m.target.com. Click the three bars in the upper left corner and the leftside menu will open where you will find the link for Giftcards.

Anybody know how you can "use" your target redcard (debit) before it arrives in the mail? I would really like to buy some southwest GC's before their sale ends!

Found out the hold up on my Cardpool order. Got this email....

Dear Brianna,

We recently received your order, but we were unable to fulfill the entire order due to an inventory error. We wanted to let you know that we've issued a refund in the amount of $43.67, which you should see reflected in your credit card statement and/or Cardpool gift card balance within a few business days.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Please email us at support@cardpool.com if you have any further inquiries.

Best regards,
Cardpool.com

The other card I ordered was delivered at the same time as that email and the entire balance was there.

I got an email with my card number when it was confirmed. I used it online just fine.

This happened to me one time. I think it happens if two people order the same card at the same time.

Anyone try to enter the new $100 Disney gift cards into the Mobile Disney Gift Card app? I tried entering the gift card #'s in there, but the app would just freeze. THe app usually freezes or crashes when a gift card is not activated (speaking from experience with the $50 GCs), but when i checked the balance of the $100 GC's on the Disney Gift Card website, the balance was just fine and they were activated. Just wondering if anyone has had the same experience yet?

It worked for me. What people are finding is the app freezes a lot if you are on a newer ios system (not that this is the issue for you). I had heard the app is no longer available so I am guessing it won't work for anyone in the future. (I am using ios7 on an iPhone 4)

I am not the most tech savy person, so forgive me if this is a silly question. but how do you use email delivered gift cards at a restaurant? I do understand the raise/target/disney card deal (in theory LOL) because you do it all online until the 'real' disney card comes via snail mail, but how can you use a email card at say Subway or Landrys? (By the way-you all are brilliant-looking forward to at least doing some disney cards this way)

I talked with Disney gift card services today and they stated that the gift card app will not be updated so it will eventually quit working altogether. When it works it is great for the real time updates. Is there another app that allows you to get the real time updates ?

I emailed the Disney gift card folks back in December about the freezing app and received this response:

"Thank you for contacting us with your inquiry. We are in the process of
upgrading the Disney Gift Card app, unfortunately we do not have a time
frame for when it will be completed and available. We apologize for the
inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Disney Gift Card Guest Service"

It now sounds like they gave up on it. Too bad because it was a handy app.

You print out the emailed GC and bring it to the restaurant, kind of like a coupon. The email will have a code on it that the server enters into the restaurant computer system to credit your bill.

LSKN -- Thank you. I did think that but these days who knows? I wasn't sure it was a 'bring it on your smart phone' kind of thing. I really need to get with the times

Thanks for your help!

I don't know if this is a pattern, but for my last three orders from Target, I selected the option to require a signature upon delivery and each order was shipped UPS. I ordered one yesterday and it has shipped and will arrive Friday. This is a lot faster (for me anyways) than when I did not request the signature.

You're welcome. You can also show them the GC on your phone, but in a restaurant like a Landry's the server then has to walk away with your phone to go enter it into their computer. It's easier, IMO, to just print it out.
