Disney Gift Card Deals

Hi all! I was at the World for a week, and though I skimmed through everything, I feel unsure of one thing: Is Ebates still crediting for gift card purchases from Target if you add a small item? Or did that stop?

Many thanks!

That's over. No credits on gift cards through Ebates at Target, regardless of what else you buy.

The first rule of any deal is "do not call." I wouldn't trust any answer you get over the phone. Show up and try it.
Just tried-sign hanging at register that said cash only
ETA cashier was chatty and said she wasn't sure why but that it was a new policy in the past week or so.

While an Ebucks promo would be nice - I'm not really sure what I would buy to earn them. :confused3 I guess I would try my hand at GameStop. Truthfully, for me right now, Kroger>Target>Disney is the best deal running. I can get anywhere between a 12% - 20% savings. I just have to pace it enough so that I don't overbuy and can't use all the fuel points. I know many of you don't have a Kroger, and I do hate that for you. :(

Agreed I get a similar savings (close to 20%) doing the same deal with giant eagle.
Unfortunately they haven't run a double fuel perks promo on all gift cards since back in May. I have $ left to spend on my chase freedom where I get the 5% back but it ends on June 30th. Keep hoping they run a double fuel perks on target gift cards (or all cards) before then. They keep having the bonus fuel perks on only certain cards.

Giant foods in PA also does fuel rewards on gift cards for anyone who is interested.

As someone who has worked in retail for many years, I never bother to call and ask whether something is in stock or if I can do "so and so". Employees sometimes don't know or don't even bother to look.

Definitely true lol

Even if a 10% came out, I wouldn't buy any gift cards. The GS and BB things are all too shady for a long-term high volume process. Asking teens to ring up $500 gift cards and then paying with digital certificates is so awkward.

And yes, stop calling and asking places if you can do things, people. Just go try. Invest some money, and go try. Yes you can get stuck, but the best deals come from the options that the employees think you can't do. Finding a deal that you can do which is publicly legit is not going to be as profitable. Like the Target thing. If you asked if you could get 5% off or get Ebates, of course the answer is no. Yet you could. So asking employees things is entirely pointless and just creates awareness.

I called my local Joann's and was told they only except cash for gift cards. I specifically asked about credit cards and was given a definitive no. You got lucky.
I also bought 2 on Saturday, had no issues at all.

PSA for anyone trying to use gift cards to buy tickets to Disneyland in the immediate future - their website is having issues with them and have not been able to clear the sale when using a Disney gc since last Saturday. Other option is to call and they will waive the will call fee or purchase at the gate.
If you're like me using a corporate work shopping portal this can be an issue. I ended up just paying cash for it so I could get my 10% off tickets and save the gc for October.
Not sure if anyone has planned DLR trip but if any readers do and have their ticket money in a gc be aware. There is not a foreseeable fix per Disney tech and said they are working on it.

I yield about 19% on Kroger and I'll take it rather than the huge risk of sinking thousands into eBay. I have $200 left in eBay I'm comfortable using back and forth during ebucks promos for small gains. I just wish I knew if Kroger 4x worked on their online gift card purchases since I'm out of town until after the current 4x promo.
