Disney Gift Card Deals

It seems they are doing more website changes on Target. The site is completely different for me today and now I'm getting the "we are experiencing difficulties" message. It seems like every time they make changes to the site, wonky things happen to gift cards. Hopefully in a few days everything will go back to normal again.

I agree! When I went on their site tonight on my desktop, it looked like the mobile site. And yep, every time they start doing stuff, GC's get all wonky. Maybe they are adding the ebay cards back on lol. Wishful thinking ;-)

I finally got a Target GC to pull up, put it in my cart, changed payment to my saved gift cards (trying to combine) and the button you have to click to proceed ends up getting hidden behind their info bar so I can't actually check out. So frustrating! That stupid bar keeps moving around the pages as I'm shopping so I have to open an item to see the cost. I'm hoping they fix these glitches soon!

Is the option to have your Target GC sent to a mobile number new? I don't remember seeing that option before.

No they have had the mobile option for quite a while now.

For people looking to get Target cards, Target offers gift card trades at several of its stores for many kinds of gift cards. You many get a better offer at Cardpool or Raise, but if you don't want to deal with the internet, it's another option. This online page only shows which cards are accepted and helps you find a store near you that does the program. https://targettrade-in.com/Online/Home/GiftCardProgram.rails

Just to reiterate - this will not help you make money in most cases.

To those of you, including @JKalai, @MrInfinity @PerfessorZ @CMNJ, sorry if I'm missing anyone else, but who spent some time explaining your thoughts on how the GS/gc scenario works in regards to whether they make any profit or mostly take losses, I appreciate your time in doing so. Still a bit confusing and complicated, lol, but thank you! Definitely interesting and something to keep in mind while churning!

I just checked a few of my past orders that I still had tracking numbers for and it looks like Disney gift cards are originating out of Woodbury, MN for me. So the closer you live to there, the sooner you'd get them I believe. I'm not sure if that is the only hub mailing these out or if there is another in the US.
They have a hub here in Northern Illinois, I can't remember exactly, but I think maybe it was Carol Stream, but not sure, but I had some of my Disney gc's mailed to me from there, which is fairly close to me. But, they haven't always come from the same place. The next time it was from somewhere else, I was checking because at the time I was hoping for a quick delivery.

Hmmm it looks like Ebates has figured out the Target scheme of purchasing gift cards, but adding an ebates-qualifying item and receiving Ebates for the entire purchase. I just made a purchase for 3 $100 Disney gift cards and a box of Mason jar lids and bands for canning. Ebates is showing I received cash back in the amount of $0.07 based on a purchase of $3.32, which is the cost of the extra item only. Can anyone else comment on this who has ordered recently?

Not a big loss if this loophole is closed. And my previous ebates have not been adjusted (yet!). At least I won't have to keep finding add-on items for my orders! :)
Though it may indeed be that they figured this out, I will say that at least twice I had this happen to me where they only credited me a small amount, like they were only doing the added on item. But, then the next time my order was credited for the whole amount I had ordered, gc's included. So, I've had a couple times they just did a very small amount, sometimes just a very odd amount where I couldn't tell how they based the amount they credited me for, but most of the time I have gotten full credit. But, I haven't had a recent order thru Target lately.

Everyone's method is different.
Mine is simply Ebay>GS. Rinse, repeat. I'm not sure what my exit strategy is right now, but I have months to wait for the dust to settle to figure it out. Worst case scenario, I'll buy up some product from GS and sell on Ebay. If I wind up with a loss, I'll still be well ahead. However, GS is very YMMV, so proceed at your own risk. At this point in the game it is all about caution, discretion and risk tolerance.
@Mom2mx2 The above method is basically my method at this time as well, with some BB thrown in when I can get some BB to go thru PPDG. Basically using it to build up ebay bucks(with ebates, as well). Not sure how long I will stick with it or when I'll try to exit, but my trip is in Nov so I have some time. I do hope that by some miracle Target will be available on Ebay again at some time, but that doesn't seem real likely at the moment.

The cancelling egift cards paid for with Target gift cards has been going on since at least 5/27 according to the post I read on FB. And several Target.com CMs told the person the same thing--this is a policy change which took effect in the last week. But who knows. This stuff is so fluid.

Somewhat OT, but I cannot stand the new design trend websites are moving toward, with Target being the latest. They are all starting to look like a DIY landing page from the early 2000s.

My risk tolerance pretty much went down the tubes, particularly since I could simply work a couple extra hours at work a month to make up for the loss of churn (though it is nowhere near as thrilling as getting a deal!). I am probably back to Raise/Rewards/Kroger>Target>Disney>DVA. I still wind up saving around 15%, so I am going to keep my crying to a sniffle rather than a sob.

Just another data point: I also only received Ebates for the non-GC portion of my Target order. Both the Ebates website and my cash back email showed $0.09. I was using the built-in Ebates button on Chrome.

What is GS? and BB?

Yeah after GCM abruptly stopped selling target I decided my very short churning days were over. I have a small amount left on an eBay GC and will keep an eye out for deals like discounted GC for stores I shop frequently but the whole eBay/GS thing is too risky for a non gamer like me and PPDG is too unreliable to churn to BB (plus who knows if they will allow GC to GC purchases long term). So I'm also planning on sticking with the giant eagle/getgo to target to Disney (with ebates hopefully) to DVA.

I don't post much on here, but wanted to add that I placed a Target order last night (6/1) and only received Ebates on my non-GC portion of the order. I had also placed an order on 5/31 and received the full Ebates, but received it in two separate emails, one with $0.04 for the non-GC portion and one with a higher amount for the GC portion. Many pages back, someone had mentioned they received credit for gift card purchases on Target through Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Shopping. Has anyone tried that recently?

I was kind of hoping to wake up to news of an eBay Bucks bonus this morning (west coast here), but all I'm seeing is bad news about the Ebates glitch no longer crediting and Target .com no longer allowing GC for eGC purchases. I guess that's no eBucks this week, which leaves me pretty deflated about this whole churning thing with all the recent changes.

My first churn is complete. $100 through BB and $100 though CS.

How often per week do people churn? I have another BB in my area and two other GSs.

Just got credited for only the qualifying item of my Target order this morning. Hoping I get credited for the gc purchase later like another poster but not TOO hopeful

I've seen this new Target layout come and go over the last 2 months. It's sort of minimalist and menu-less but I hate it for now.

Mine too! I'm trying to get fully cashed out at the moment. Then I can cut off as of the end of June, tally up my Ebates and Ebucks to come up with final totals and start with a fresh look at the options in July. I'm thinking nothing will ever come up as good as the last few months and I will never top these earnings... A Disneyland trip in July paid for with over $4000 free sure makes the GCR more affordable. :) I'm hoping to break $5k with the DVA bonus... but it looks like I'll come up just shy.

If there is an EBucks promo, you can go back and forth several times in a day if you want to. If you're doing physical cards, go as soon as you get cards. I'm not churning at BB tho other than to cash out what I've got for Disney cards. If you're just getting started now and only doing $50 at a time, it's probably not going to earn your gas money.

As of today we can't purchase GCs on Target.com with Target GCs?
