who is the seller? im trying to find the gamestop deal...

nevermind found it! under todays deals

woohoo, got in on the Gamestop deal this time, now let's keep out fingers crossed that my Games stop will allow me to change these back to ebay GC, likeing the free $30. betwwen this and the mobil deal, I've added an extra $60 to my pot, plus the target which gave me $30

Thanks for pasting the GS deal. Got 3 on my account and 3 on DH. Also used the $15 off $75 to get a "free" box of kcups.

How do you start getting the bonus points from eBay? How do you get to the gift card mall on eBay? Do you just search for gift cards?

It's working differently for different people, so I am trying to write as generic a post as possible. Basically, if you want to buy a gift card that can be converted to another gift card, your choices are limited. Target will do that, but they don't have ebay cards right now. Ebay will do that - and will give you ebucks to do that, but not for more ebay cards. Some Gamestop stores will convert Gamestop to ebay; i don't think their online store does. Some Best Buy stores will convert to ebay or Disney; their online store almost always does NOT work.

The part that people have been focusing mostly this week is the different gift card stores on ebay.
GCM used to carry Target, and everyone is hoping that they restock SOON. Hopefully this instant.
PPDG sells Best Buy and several other popular ones, but when you try to use them, it usually locks up your ebay account and your paypal account, and neither paypal or ebay have been helpful. One person has been banned from Paypal, so many of us will only shop there once and then run away.
Cardency has been reliable , but doesn't have a lot of stock.
ngc is the newest, but has so far been successful, if they have a card you want.
Thank you!

I'm still trying to understand the churning since all the gift cards seemed to be full price. Are you trying to build up eBay bucks? Or ebates rewards? Both?

Thank you!

IF you can get a discounted gift card first, it will help minimize your OOP and maximize your profit.

You can earn GC through swagbucks, buy them for gas rewards from grocery stores, get 5% off with your redcard in store at Target or shop discount card dealers online.

ETA: Then you are buying full price usually and earning ebucks & ebates.

Yes, that's basically it.

The "goal" in churning is to invest an initial cash amount into the purchase of a gift card. Then, taking that gift card to purchase another gift card, earning some sort of incentive/rebate in the process. Then, you repeat the process using the new gift card.

Here's a BASIC churn...
1) Buy a $100 eBay gift card at Target, using your RedCard. CASH PAID= $95 (*You can save up FREE Target gift cards that you earn from rewards programs like Perk, Swagbucks, etc, or ones that you get free with purchase at Target and use those instead of the RedCard. Each $5 gift card = 5% discount on a $100 card...so (10) gift cards = 50% savings)
2) Go through eBates and use the eBay gift card to buy a $100 BestBuy gift card...Earn $1 in eBates and $2-$10 in eBucks, depending on promo
3) Take the Best Buy gift card to the store and buy a $100 eBay gift card...
4) Continue repeating steps 2 and 3. Each time, you will earn $1 in eBates and $2-$10 in eBucks
5) The churn for your Disney trip (or whatever you are saving for) ends when you use your Best Buy gift cards to purchase Disney gift cards.

If you do this churn every Wednesday and Friday for the next earning period (July-September..27 times), you will accrue a MINIMUM of $27 in eBates and $54 in eBucks. That means your initial investment of $95 will "earn" you another $81 in rewards. The more money you invest, the more "free" money you earn, but there are risks.

There are many different variations. The main idea is to find a gift card that is sold on eBay that is accepted as payment at a store that sells eBay gift cards AND accepts gift cards as payment for gift cards. Right now, most folks are having success with Kmart, GameStop and Best Buy. You also want to make sure that at least one of those stores sells Disney gift cards. That way, you have an "end game" in place.

Each store has it's own policy so each person's experience is different. You can maximize your earnings by purchasing from eBay during an eBucks promo period when you can earn 6-10% in eBucks instead of the standard 2%. Not everyone gets the eBucks offers and they are usually only good for 1-2 days, and sometimes, just a few hours when they have a flash deal.

Most importantly, the policies and availability that are in effect now could change at any time. This means at any given time, you could be "stuck" with gift cards. Therefore, it is prudent to weigh your risk and not invest more than you can give up or purchase gift cards from a merchant that you would use.

So I seem to be out of the PPDG penalty box. I was able to buy 1 $100 BB DG yesterday (with some k cups for "free" using the $15 off $75 coupon) and again today I was able to buy 1 $100 BB DG. Glad to be able to cash out my remaining eBay GC now that it seems target from GCM may be a thing of the past (been 2.5 weeks now since they last had in stock)
So for those others who have had such problems with PPDG (like myself) maybe give it a week and try again with a small purchase like $100.

Awesome! I am a seasoned Target card buyer.

Decided to go to Hollywood/Anaheim this weekend, so I faced the dreaded PPDG.

First transaction was $200 for hotels.com to pay for most of the hotel. That went through just fine. Then decided to do just another $100 for Best Buy to convert to Disney. I clicked the "Buy Now" button... Held my breath... Then it had me verify my Paypal. I was going to back out but decided to just go all the way. Logged in/verified and that went through perfectly. After wiping the sweat off my forehead, I put the transaction through and checked to see if I could still purchase from eBay without problems and I was able to.

This is probably the last transaction through PPDG for a while now.

I was thinking the same thing. I "cashed out" for the Disney cards I needed to meet my budget. I held on to a $100 eBay card and I will use that to buy a BB card the next time I get an eBucks promo offer. I currently have $200 in eBucks and I may just use those to start a new churn in July. That way, I won't have any of my own cash invested.

I have a new goal...I want to go to WDW "solo" (no family, just a friend or 2) next fall. I can book a room with my DVC points and fly using my RR points. I can renew my AP, but that will cost $500! So, I am going to try to churn about $1K to cover the ticket and food. That way, I can tell DH that my trip would not cost us anything out of pocket:thumbsup2.

Yeah I got stuck because I was waiting on target cards to arrive in the mail and couldn't take advantage of the last ebucks promo before GCM ran out of target cards. I should have bought them when GCM temporarily restocked that Wednesday but I was greedy waiting for an ebucks promo-which then lead to me being "stuck" with a bunch of eBay GC when target went out of stock the following day and PPDG was being so difficult. I know I could cash them out to other retailers (Home Depot/Lowes/etc) and but prefer to just get them converted to Disney (don't have any big purchases there on the horizon)-I have to buy our AP by mid Aug to make FP. We'll actually be at BWV the same week I think you are-remember your saga with booking multiple rooms there on the DVC board.

Add me to the failed Kmart churn list. The cashier wouldn't even ring me up without asking for my payment method-when I said gift card she said, "No. Cash or debit only." I stated the cards only specifically exclude prepaid cards, i.e. Visa and MC, and she said no. I went to put them back and she watched me and didn't ring up the next customer. I put them back, said screw it, and went up to CS. They called the manager and stated it was corporate policy to not allow GC to GC purchases, regardless of what the back of the GC says.

Looks like I'm off to sell 2 Sears GCs. I know I can resell on eBay; Raise and CardCash aren't giving me much for them (far less than the $100 value, even though I bought them at $85 they're offering below that!). What other reliable options are there for a sale?

You can exchange it for a Gamestop gift card with some loss.

You can also see if a target near you exchanges gift cards for target gift cards-not sure what their reimbursement rate is but sears is on their list.
