Disney Gift Card Deals

I have the video game club. I bought it last year for my son and it definitely has already paid for itself. I haven't done anything with it other than buying new games at 20% off though for my son. But, I just checked this morning because that offer intrigued me. Maybe it was a short sale because it only looks like the price is $40 now so $32 with the discount. Not worth me driving up there for that.

It was showing up at $40 on the website and ringing up at $20 in store. Not sure why.

Best Buy has a video game club called Gamers Club Unlocked. It's $30 for 2 years and you get 20% off all video game software (games and figures like Infinity, Skylanders, etc). So basically in PP's explanation, Best Buy was having a sale and Tomb Raider after the 20% was $20. Game Stop will give you $40 with their promos for that $60 game brand new unopened, because they will turn around and sell it for a profit and they assume you're losing money because the MSRP is $60 and they're giving you $40. So you do that for a bunch of games and it adds up quickly. Pretty smart actually, I should do this since I have Gamers Club (which as an aside, if you buy 3 games within those 2 years the membership pays for itself).
Hmm, interesting! Thanks for explaining that, Turk February! Making a little more sense that way, lol. Still a bit complicated but I'm gonna keep my eyes open on this sort of info, pretty interesting! I just don't know a lot about various games and what's good, what's not, and that sort of thing. Definitely interesting though! Thanks again!

I see a quite a few people are buying Sears cards to use at Kmart. Since the nearest Kmart to me is over 100 miles away, I wondered whether Sears has ebay gift cards. They do in their online store.
Also, why not just by Kmart cards? SVM is selling all them in different amounts.

Still looking for the best way for me to churn.

My sears has limited gift card selections. I bought sears cards when SVM had the $100 for $85 with free shipping so I got $300 of Disney cards for $255 (plus normal eBay bucks and ebates credit).

I did the exact same thing. Surprisingly, I was denied at Kmart last night. Last Thursday I swapped a Sears $100 for (4) $25 Disney cards. The manager on duty said that they signed papers 3 weeks ago telling them it wasn't allowed. I have two more left. I will give it one more shot. If I get denied, I will probably sell them on Raise. Last night they were offering $80 a piece for them. I sell those two for $160, along with my successful churn of $100 and I get out $5 ahead, plus bonus bucks, etc. Better than losing money. I'd have to settle for a slow, methodical churn through PPDG and Best Buy.

I just started this and my trip is the end of August, so I can't have a lot hanging out there waiting. If I have to, I will just go through SB to Raise and buy Target/Walmart. Then buy Disney, take my 10-12% and focus on the next trip.

FYI Save Ya is offering $84.01 for a $100.00 card. And the nice thing about that is they buy them from you directly for that price so you don't have to wait for it to sell.

Received my GS GCs from NGC (National Gift Card) today via USPS. They were ordered during this week's ebucks promo. Good turn around time and free shipping. Off to exchange them for eBay.

Anyone have a link? A search has found nothing.

Interesting churn @ Kmart this morning. I don't have any near me, but knew I would be traveling close to one this weekend so I got the Sears card deal earlier in the week knowing that if Kmart didn't work we'd use Sears without a problem.
I went in and grabbed a couple things we needed & initially couldn't find eBay cards, although there were GameStop so I grabbed those. At the display near the register they had eBay, though. The cashier saw I was buying GCs & immediately asked for my drivers license! I didn't even have my wallet out yet, so he had no idea what my form of payment was going to be. I asked why he needed my DL (kindly, while handing it to him) and he said to compare the name to the debit card. Interesting. I mentioned that I was using a GC to pay & he said he'd have to check if that was ok. So, after talking with who I assume was a manager they decided to just try it because they don't know why I couldn't do that but weren't sure if the system would allow it. Long story short, it went through without a hitch! I was sweating it a bit, but I'm also a big advocate of being friendly & nonchalant during these things & think that helps the cashiers not get all worked up about it & willing to try it.
I had a similar interaction without the same luck.
I wasn't even the next in line and the cashier saw me pickup the GC from the rack and she told me cash only for GC purchases. I did not have my form of payment in hand.
I was able to go to another Kmart and make the purchase. But they are closing soon.

Did any of you read the post on the Budget board about Target accepting other store's gift cards and exchanging them for a Target card--and immediately begin to think of churning possibilities?

You won't get a 1:1 exchange, so you would have to make sure you can at least get some value from the exchange (i.e. buying discounted cards at a cheaper rate than Target will buy them back at).

I did this yesterday. Combined it with sales and coupons and paid with a gift card purchased at Kroger. My total savings was > 40%.

Right. I wish I knew the exchange rate, and if it is consistent with all brands. Might be worth it if there is a 4x, 5x ebucks offer (and then the Target 5% discount)

If it's anything like the Gamestop gift card trade in, you'll usually get back 50%-80% depending on the retailer.

There is an Ebay deal today for a $50 game stop gift card plus $10 bonus. (says it comes as a $60 gift card) Mail delivery. I went ahead and got $100 worth and when it arrives I'll try my luck with gamestop.
Thanks for the info! Just bought 3 (max per account). :thumbsup2
