Thanks so much. I guess people aren't churning large amounts this way if ppdg is so wonky. I'll follow along to see how much others are doing and how.

Like Marionette said it is a crap shoot. I was able to get $300 BB from PPDG last week before Paypal rejected me. I didn't call yet, I am waiting until I want to try again to see if it works. If not, I am sure I will be one the phone looking for help too.

Later in the evening I tried to purchase $200 in SW gift cards via PPDG. It locked my account and took 3 phone calls the next day to get it working again.

That being said I never ended up purchasing BB gift cards with the remaining $600 in Ebay cards I have. Pretty frustrating because my account kept getting locked. I was comfortable taking $300 in to the store, but I think any more than $400-500 and I would be a nervous wreck. That's just my personality, though! We only have 1 BB in town so I don't want to ruin my reputation there already!

I really wish that people would stop messaging Target and GCM about the dearth of GCs. The person who is answering you has no more information than you do. The GCs will return when/if the companies are ready to restore/restock them. People have already posted the responses they've received. Asking again and expecting a different result is, well..., crazy. Be patient. Let things shake out. And if you need Disney GCs for your vacation soon, now would be the time to put your exit strategy into play.

In the meantime, there are still ways to churn if you have the time to take things more slowly. It may not yield the swift amounts that we were seeing with the Target ->ebay -> Target churn, but it's still viable.

YES!!!!! people need to stop calling and messaging...it actually does more harm than good folks....

I have $450 in BB right now. I think I will go to the store today and convert them to eBay. That way, if I get a bonus offer this week, I will have my eBay ready to go. I have already purchased $475 in PPDG since last week. I know that the limit is $1000, but what is the timeframe? 30 days? I can't remember....I never used PPDG, just Target, so I never paid attention.

I hear ya. Frankly who has the time for it!? I explained to the people on the phone that I would've purchased double that had I been able to. So they're losing money because $600 of my gift cards sat there waiting to be churned, actually $900 considering I did the $300 in-store that day and could've used them again that night. So $900 in BB gift cards I would have purchased if this were an easy process!

My intention was, when Ebay promo came out Tuesday:
I had $300 in Ebay - convert those to Best Buy
I had $600 in Target - run out to Target/BB, get my $600 Target converted to Ebay in-store, then take my $300 I had already purchased from BB and buy Ebay.
Go home Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and convert to BB.. earning $90 Ebay bucks.. Get to the store at some point over the next week and get them back to Ebay gift cards.

For me the BB isn't a huge hassle but it's a bigger pain in that you have to physically go to the store as opposed to Target where they were just shipping gift cards to our house!
If all worked well it would be nice because there's a possibility you could churn 2-3 times as opposed to Target churns which were only once during an Ebay bucks promo since they come via snail mail.

I just stopped at Best Buy and turned my $450 in BB gift cards into a single, $450 eBay card. It was super easy and the cashier rang it up like any other transaction. I also stopped at Target and converted a $50 card into another eBay gift card. So now I have my $500 in eBay gift cards....just hoping for an e-bucks promo this week.

With Best Buy struggling financially, maybe the increase in gift card sales will help them out. If I churn even half of what I was doing with Target, it's significantly more business than I've given Best Buy in the last ten years. Just doing my part to help the economy.

For those with a Kroger, publix, and shell
Publix has $10 off $50 gas card for every $50 on groceries you spend through today with the ad coupon.

Using this in combination with Kroger fuel points (I buy Disney or EBay gc's or any other manner of gc's for daily spending) for $1 off per gallon up to $35 at shell and the 20% shell gc I get at Kroger I'm getting gas dirt cheap right now and consider that my return on eBay/Disney gc's I'm buying oop.

How are you getting BB rewards? I add my rewards card, but so far with $600 in gift card purchases (n store). I don't show any reward points yet. I am buying eBay with BB gift cards bought through PPDG.

You can't get Best Buy Rewards by buying anything with a GC at Best Buy.

Just needing to vent...On the 18th, I bought a $500 Target GC from an individual seller on ebay for $500 plus $10 shipping. I bought it earlier in the day. I bought 3 other GC's from individuals on ebay that same day. I have received them all already. The seller of this $500 Target GC hasn't shipped yet. I sent a message yesterday asking if he'd shipped yet and just received a reply that he would ship 'asap'. I don't get it! It's been 4 days! How hard is it to drop something in the mail??? Just frustrated and missing our GCM option. I thought for sure I'd have this money in time for a promo this week but that is now looking highly unlikely.

I sell on ebay about once or twice a month. I always ship same day or next day so this irks me, I guess. I try to put myself in others' shoes and get their item to them as quickly as I would want it sent to me.

I really wanted to jump on the $100 Sears GC for $85 from SVM, but I hadn't tried to convert in my local kmart. I cashed out some SB and went to Sears to convert to a physical GC. So far so good. Went to Kmart and grabbed an ebay GC. Cashier rang it through and I got ready to swipe my GC. He then, very snottily, said, "You can't pay for a gift card with a gift card."

So I told him I didn't want it in that case and walked out. I'm glad I didn't jump the gun. Be wary as YMMV.

This is frustrating. As a seller I also ship by the next day. The few times I couldn't were due to a sick child or family death. Maybe they have a good reason but they still should have let you know. They should do priority shipping for the delay.

Exactly, I am the most understanding person. All you have to do is communicate with me and I am good. It doesn't even have to be a 'good'excuse and I'm fine but just let me know. I think this is ridiculous to not have shipped after 4 days.

I was at Disney this week so missed a lot on the forum. Just caught up. I actually got the last 5x promo but with ebay out of target and vice versa I didnt want to make any uneducated moves. Ready to get back in. I have $600 in ebay right now. Can i get some advice what is working easily enough? Are you buying BB ecards from ppdg and then going instore to buy ebay? Do i have that part right? Miss a few days and it gets confusing! Lol.

I did the PPDG to BB and GCM physical GS cards for the 5x promo this past week. I got stopped at the last of the steps on Tues night, called in and he said to wait and try again. I waited a bit, but didn't work. So Wed early afternoon, I decided to try to buy the GCM GS physical cards for $900 and it worked, the payment went thru! I was surprised since it hadn't worked the night before. Anyway, then I tried to do a BB PPDG order for $400 and surprise surprise it went thru! Tried again for another few hundred, testing my luck but wanting to use all $1900 total of my gc funds, and they decided there was possible fraud and to follow the email and paypal steps. Did it and seemed to work but again it went out. So I called quick, not trying too many times so it wasn't totally unworkable (i hoped), and he was able to fix it and waited while I put thru a $600 order and it went great! So, enough time thru out the day, but made my $190 in ebucks, oh plus my $19 in Ebates, so was happy it all worked. Started with $900 in the physical GS cards first just in case the PPDG didn't work, I'd have something, but when it did then I wanted to get some BB in!
Also, no trouble converting at BB! Not sure why some are afraid to do more than a couple hundred at a time. The Ebay cards are loadable $25-$500 and getting the full amount, well we're not doing anything wrong.

And, though it all takes some extra time, what with having to call in, sometimes several times for one order, I think the extra time is worth it when I make those free ebucks! So, that's like paying for my time. At this point, if I didnt do that all with PPDG, I'd be making nothing and not coming closer to maximizing my ebay bucks. So that definitely makes it worth my time as that's the main way I'm making/saving money for my trip at the moment with the Target cards out and no 5% discounts these days.

No one knows how long it will take to restock. But you can buy a gift card with a gift card in store. You will not get the 5% discount though if you pay with a gift card versus your target red card.

This is the second time I have heard of this happening with airline tickets. They originally work, then later they are canceled when the credit card is deemed stolen. For this reason, I will never buy airline gift cards on eBay.
I sure hope you get this worked out, what a pain, and heartache to lose that much money.

The gift cards SHOULD be OK if you got them from an authorized seller like GCM, Cardency, SVM or even the hated PPDG. It 's when you purchase from an individual that you are taking big risks. But I totally understand "better safe than sorry".

THank you for the warning. I was about to try this, but I will need to think about this a little more. As in, what else I would buy at Kmart with gift cards?
