decided to slowly cash out for June DLR trip and at least get that in Disney funds. I've already got DLH res paid and was churning for tickets and spending cash. Went to Target and bought some diapers (got $10 gc!), new front door mat on sale, some $1 bribe toys for the kiddos and 3 $100 Disney cards. Used $300 in Target gc and Redcard. She didn't blink an eye.

I still have to get hotel paid for October but I will need to put more Capitol into the churning to even make a dent there, but more time on my side and if I get stuck with Target gc's it's no big deal as I can utilize them for daily shopping needs without issue. However I do think if you do smaller mixed purchases (gc/Redcard) it's much less noticeable than trying to convert a large amount at once without merch purchase.

Saw the ebucks in both accounts. Had $450 in Target and converted online to eBay. Now heading home to place order in eBay with funds I have but no time to swing by target to get 5% discount eBay card with Redcard so gonna just do a small churn with what's on hand.

As for the PPDG hassle I posted yesterday. Account looks useable but my Ghirardelli gc never came and I called and they said I'd have to do the order over. Fail on that. Maybe I'll still get the ebates

How are people using Ebay gift cards on the 8% offer when it says you have to pay with PayPal?

It says right on the terms of the eBay GC, "To use this Gift Card, you need a PayPal account, an eBay account ... " You need to sign into PP to use an eBay GC.

I have been holding on to my Ebucks since the first of the month waiting for an offer. I finally decided today I better go ahead and buy Ebay cards from PPDG since some were reporting delays and errors.
The order was confirmed for me at 2:02 p.m.

At 2:14 p.m. I got the Flash Sale Ebucks offer.

But no matter how I try I cannot make a purschase. I can put the cards in my cart but I can't go further.
Customer Service sent me up the ladder but no one can figure it out. I am not near my limit, my account is in good standing, cleared cookies, tried a different browser, restarted computer, tried mobile app, tried not using Ebates, etc....
Basically they don't know what's wrong but they said it's not on their end. They will work on it but it probably won't be fixed by the time this sale ends.

Tried for over an hour to get this to work. I'm giving up.
We are volunteering at a nursing home tonight, that should put my 'bad luck' into perspective.

Same thing happened to me. Literally had to call 5 times for them to figure it out. Were you talking to eBay or PayPal? PayPal is the one who figured it out for me. They said they had to "restore my account" and it could take 24 hours, so even if you do get it fixed, you might not be able to get it in before the promo ends.

What I've learned so far is that if PPDG doesn't work the first time, don't try it again. Buy something from GCM instead.

So on the subject of Target self checkout, I've got an experience to share!

I received my GCM order from last week today (UPS delivery confirmation on the same minute as the eBay email for the 8% Bucks). Surely it's a sign! But with just 6 hours on the bonus, I decided to forgo the Ebates from ordering online because I didn't want to risk running so much volume through in one day or cancelations.

I just swung by two nearby Targets, and lucky me they had $100 and $200 eBay cards in stock. I decided to divide up my purchases between the stores, headed straight to self checkout and scanned the eBay cards clumsily. The scanner will sometimes scan (the small item barcode) and activate the card (by scanning the card's big unique barcode) together in one scan, and will other times require you to scan the big barcode to activate. Anyway, when that was done, I pulled out my Target GCs to pay. It was another clumsy process because you have to press the "Finish and Pay" button, then select "Gift Card" as payment method, then scan. And if one card doesn't cover the full balance, you have to click "Gift Card" again and scan the next card, and so on until the amount due is paid. I don't usually use self checkout so I didn't know how to scan the Target GCs, which drew the attention of the clerks manning the self checkout registers at the two stores. Both times, they came over to see what the trouble was and both told me that I couldn't use GCs to pay for prepaid cards, but both tried to scan the Target GCs for me anyway and when they saw the balance come off the amount due, they let my purchases through.

Lesson learned: when at self checkout, find and use the scan gun -- it's a lot easier and more precise than the tabletop scanners. And scan the small barcode at the upper left of the Target GC (I was mistakenly and ineffectively scanning the big barcode on the bottom half of the card). To avoid confusion, I noticed the clerks used a finger to cover the big barcode when scanning the little barcode.

You don't have to scan the small barcode at all. Just scan the big on. Cover the small one with your thumb when you scan them.

I checked In this morning around 9am to check for ebucks offers. Nothing. So I went about my busy day.
Just sat down and got to see what happened all day and see mention of ebucks offers and I start to panic. I have the email and see that it expired at 6 PM. Panic. Then I see PDT. I still have two hours!!!! Now I just have to impatiently wait to get home from the kids school function tonight.

It's not a set limit as it's different for each account. It's somewhere under $1,000 per rolling calendar month, though. Once you go over that amount, errors will start to happen when paying on ebay. Customer service is horrible for Paypal. It's normal if that happens to you, even if it's way under the 1K per month.

You're not kidding! I'm now locked out of my account until I can get through to Paypal . . .

I called PayPal. They said they don't see a code for my order and I should call back in 24 hours. Said it was taking longer because you are not supposed to pay with gift card. I said I used ebucks and gift card. Maybe not a good idea to combine the two? So I am Charlie Brown today too. Order from PPDG lost in cyber space. Not cancelled, but my $ is gone, hopefully I eventually get my egift cards. And no eBay 4x offer for me. This is frustrating. I finally got my target egift order straightened out and now this. I think my churning luck has run out.

PayPal locked both accounts until I upload proof of getting the computer virus scanned. My logins from multiple devices set them off. This is becoming not worth it!

I think PPDG might be more trouble than their worth. The time I spent on the phone trying to rectify my PayPal and eBay then the gc lost cost way more than the $6.85 savings.

As long as you aren't on PAcific time, there's a chance you could use them!

So, here is my best buy story for today.

I had to go return a broken tv at best buy today. I had some gift cards I was going to convert to disney cards since I knew they have been out of ebay gift cards for over a week now.

I went in and looked at the gift card rack and they now have the loadable Ebay gift cards! You can load up to $500! I was so excited!

Tons of Disney gift cards at my target. The lady in front of me saw mine and asked if they still did 5% off with red card. The cashier said "some of them." I paid with gift cards. Put $2.xx on my red card. I asked if she had heard anything about not being able to buy gift cards with gift cards and she said no.

Do you mind sharing where you are? It seems like everyone who got the 4x ebucks offer today didn't hesitate to jump on it. I can live with the loss of the 5% at Target.com but was starting to worry about not being allowed to purchase Disney cards in store with target cards. The flurry of activity over this ebucks offer makes me think you guys are, in general, still confident that that isn't going away.........

I had PP problems a couple months ago. Every time I called, they would tell me to wait 30 mins, wait 24 hours, wait a couple days, blah, blah, blah...It was never fixed. I figured out I sat on the phone with them for over 6 hours over the course of a couple of weeks. Finally just closed the account. PP's customer service is useless. It's amazing considering their size.

I ran home, and bought my gift cards. (I forgot to click ebates for my first one, because I was so excited!!!!!!!) I opted for Target cards since I can always use them for something, and I know they can at least "become" ebay cards again. But now I am trying to figure out what else I can buy on ebay! I have never seen an 8X promotion before and I don't want to lose a chance to max my ebucks.

Anyone else having this non-problem?

I'm opening a ticket with eBates, but I can't find my eBay order number. I can only see the item number, and Paypal transaction number. How can I fill out the eBates ticket that require order number and order confirmation?

I got my delivery at 6:00, and immediately purchased though target. Now I'm waiting for my eBay card to come thought email. Ebates has already credited me for the transaction. I swear a watched pot never boils! Ugh! I have an hour. If I don't get it this time, I guess I will next time.
