Disney Gift Card Deals

I did it and it showed tax. I chatted with staples and they had me call the tax number 1-800-793-3320. Talked to a girl who said there was a glitch in their system with the ebay gift cards. Took my order number and said as soon as it shipped she would initiate a refund of the tax and I would get e-mail confirmation. Hoping it goes through no problem.
Thanks, I will call if I decide to go through with it. Maybe I will just order Disney gift card instead.

So I decided to (try) cash in eBay Bucks for GS cards, but got the following Error Codes: 70245 70358 TRANSACTION_REFUSED. Looks like I've joined the club.

Well, that is weird, I just added it to my card to check out and it is adding tax??? Not going to do this if I have to pay $8 in tax. I just tried added the egift card instead and that one does not add tax but the regular gift card does.
I posted a couple of pages back...there's a thread on slickdeals also- but I just paid the tax and sent the customer srvice contact email regarding taxes for each purchase- I have no doubt I will get the extra 6.83 refunded - it's a major site glitch b/c I talked to livechat once, and they said it's happeneing all over the place and to cll the tax dept. # for Staples, and then livechat was just...gone. I think it crashed. That said I got my orders in, but only 3 email conf. sent(I did 4 total) unsure what that means, but Amex has already credited the $25(this is for real gc,not email)

ok, so what I have is:

  1. 1. Go to swagbucks and get into raise.com through there. I think it is currently showing 2SB/$1
2. In raise buy target gift card (right now only showing 4%, so should I wait for this to get better, or have they been low for a really long time? The last time I bought, I was able to get 6%). Only buy a total of 4 target gift cards.

3. Use topcashback to purchase new target gift card on target.com and pay using my raise target cards to make sure I don’t lose my money and to get points with topcashback. (I am not sure if I have this right) I know there was a site to be able to combine the gift cards and get points for it. Do I need to get a small item when combining gift cards?

4. Go through ebates to target again and buy ebay gift cards using my target gift card for payment but have my redcard as my default payment. Only buy enough for a $200 ebay gift card.

5. Go through swagbucks to ebay

6. Try and get an email from ebay for ebay bucks 2x,3x so on, although I have never gotten one (so I just put a gift card in my cart and left, hoping this will generate email), or try and see if gift card mall will offer sale on target cards. If not will still earn $3 in ebay bucks per $150 of target gift cards. Pay with my paypal, but I can put my ebay gift card as my payment in paypal ( I have never done this before, so I will figure out how to do that).

7. Then wait for target gift card to be mailed to me and then go through ebates to target.com and buy my Disney gift card with my target gift card and red card setup as default payment.

Is this right? So the percentage breakdown should look like this.

  • Swagbucks earned on raise 2sb/$1, and eventually have enough swagbucks to get a target gift card, so this varies

  • % saved on raise.com, if I did right now would be 4% savings

  • Top cash back 2% for combining cards?

  • Ebates 2% for buying ebay gift cards (with small item like ruler)

  • 5% redcard savings

  • 5% savings with swagbucks when going to ebay

  • Ebay bucks earned minimum of $3 for $150.00

  • Ebates 2% target when going to buy actual Disney gift card
Do I have this all right? So %16 savings plus the raise % savings not including how much can be earned in swagbucks and ebay bucks. Right?

I think a lot of us are skipping step 1 these days. If you've read far enough back, you'll find there were a few people banned from Target .com and the common factor with the group was they'd all purchased gift cards from one particular reseller. That, combined with other issues other users have had with e-gift cards not being covered under those sites' protection policies, has led most of us to feel the risk isn't worth the reward. There are ways to jump your money into the process that will yield good return on investments without worrying about where the gift card came from or if it's already been drained of its balance.

I don't use Top Cash Back, so I can't comment on step 3.

Your steps 4-7 are what I currently do.

You may have a typo in your savings calculations - Swagbucks offers 1% savings, not 5%

After spending what seems like the entire day trying to get my Paypal unlocked, a very nice guy finally was able to help me get my transaction through the system. Once the GS cards arrive in my email, I will head over there to convert them back into eBay. I like the idea of churning through GS, but I need to make sure that this can be a reasonable process. If what happened today happens again, then I will probably dump that portion for sure.

Thank you. I have the offer on both of my cards and one on my DH's. I decided to order the disney gift card and just take the savings and not bother with having to call etc. I am going to order another tomorrow and the next day instead of doing them all today.

just saw that perfessorz responded while I was typing so somewhat duplicate post
1. I don't use swag bucks so I cannot answer that
2. I used to buy last spring/summer via raise, card cash, etc but then found that I get a better deal using my credit card at my local supermarket (get 5 or 6% back depending on the card and the time of year plus fuel perks that works out to save a lot more $)
I know others that don't have this option continue with the resellers however a few people banned by target af the beginning of the year had all been banned after using gift cards purchased via gift card zen so there is that to consider.

3. We all used to transfer the balances from the reseller gift cards to a "safe" card (i.e. We had purchased or gotten free directly from target) up until they disabled the mobile website and the ability to combine target gift cards. Since then I haven't needed to worry about a clean card since I am purchasing them directly from my grocery store or eBay. I think others have said they have done this but I believe some have reported cancelled orders-I think you can alps go to your local target service desk and have the balances combined onto a "safe" card-I have had those $5 promo ones they gift out combined so I didn't have a bunch of them to deal with. Never tried using topcash back to do that either so don't know if it works but guessing you'd need to add a non excluded item.

4. Yes but must add a non excluded item to get ebates to credit

5. Again I don't use swag bucks but ebates will get you 1% all the time and today it is 4%. You might want to see if it is 5% on gift cards as ebates has up to 5% back on eBay all the time but gift cards are usually only 1%.

6. Yes but you must sign up for ebucks and ebucks offers-if you haven't done that you will never get one. If gift card mall runs a deal on target cards there is usually a limit of 2 I think. If no ebucks promo or gift card mall promo (with free shipping and/or discounted card) you won't make much unless you churn more at a time. For instance you mentioned $150 and $200 in your examples. If you were trying to get your feet wet and start small 1 $150 gift card would earn you $1.5 ebates and $3 ebucks if there is no bonus deal. Shipping is $3 so you only net $1.5. On 2 $100 gift cards you'd make $2 ebates and $4 ebucks and pay $4 shipping so you would only net $2-that's why many people wait for the bonus buck promos.

7. Yes but again need a non excluded item to trigger ebates credit and there is a limit per order
4 of $50 or 3 of $100 (which have been out of stock for quite a while now). This is another thing that has triggered bannings-trying to order lots of orders per day to get around the limit per order. So plan ahead for conversion.

A little advice please....

I have $600 in eBay gift cards and just received a $100 Target card in the mail today. I'm thinking about taking advantage of the 4% Ebates deal, but considering just buying $300 of Target cards and holding on to the other $300 in eBay cards, just in case a promo comes out later this week. I think the biggest downside to this plan is that I will end up paying more in shipping in the long run...but...if a promo does come out, I won't be completely out of luck while waiting for the shipment to arrive AND the extra 3% in eBates would cover the extra shipping costs.

WWYD?? Our trip isn't until October but I am only $300 away from my goal and I'd really like to get my Disney gift cards in hand ASAP in case this great set up comes crashing down someday.
I would wait it out.

Spending $300 now would be what? two $150 Target cards for a total shipping cost of $3.98. You would get 2% back in eBucks ($6) and 4% back in cash from eBates ($12.00). Total for that churn = $14.02. If a 4X offer comes out later in the week and eBates is back at 1%, you would spend another $3.98 on shipping, get $3.00 from ebates and $24 in eBucks for a total of $23.02 for that churn. Total for the week = $37.04

Now, consider what would happen if you waited for the 4X promo. Order 4 $150 Target cards. Pay $6.95 for shipping. Get 1% back from eBates ($6) and $48 eBucks. Total for that churn would be $47.05. That's $10 more if you just hold off.

Yes, this assumes a couple of things. One assumption is that there will eventually be a 4X offer. The other assumption is that GCM will not increase their shipping costs. Finally, there's the assumption that you will be able to convert those Target GCs to Disney GCs. once you receive them.

never have not been credited for credit when i use it.

Just out of curiosity, how long does it typically take for your Ebates to appear when you do ebay purchases? I did one this morning (trying to take advantage of the 4% Cash Back) but it still does not show the cash back in my account. Most sites seem to credit me in 2-4 hours.

On the Magical Express home (WAHH) and I just skimmed the thread to keep up but I just wanted to say. We have used Orbitz to book before and it works just fine however the 8.1% EBates touts may not be 100% accurate. Check because not everything is eligible for the 8.1% usually that's cruises or something and rooms and other things are a different amount.

I took advantage of the 4% ebates via ebay earlier to order $300 in GS gift cards PPDG using an ebay gift card. I normally use Chrome, and it made me log into Paypal on the ebay part, and wanted a verification. So, I used IE, and it also wanted a verification, but worked fine after a single text verification. I seem to have good luck with the $300-in-1-shot orders with GS and PPDG. This brings my total for the last 4 days to $800 in GS via PPDG (2 x $100 orders on 4/15, 1x $300 on 4/16 and 1 x $300 on 4/18; just to be clear, the $300 orders are 3 $100 gc and for some reason when they arrive it is 1 card, then 5-10 mins later another and then 2-3 mins later the 3rd). Not sure how much I want to do in digital since it is more of a pain for the gamestop guys.

My eBates usually does not get awarded for eBay purchases until the item has shipped.

Has anyone gotten their credits on Swagbucks for buying on Raise? I buy a lot of cards on Raise and I have yet to see any Swagbucks from it.

I bought an ebay e gift card. A/E pending is showing staples. com charge. I'm happy it doesn't say cashstar then I would definately not get the $25. I should have just got the physical gc. Fine print says no egcs.

Just received this from American Express for my ebay egc purchase

Dear xxx,

We appreciate you using your Amex Offer at WWW.STAPLES.COM 472. Look out for a $25.00 statement credit, which will automatically be applied to your statement if your purchase meets the offer terms.

So an eBay egift card works? That's fantastic.
Amex gets "level 3" data from Staples. That means they basically see the whole receipt. I would not count on e-giftcards working for this promotion, even if you get the email. If the charge remains listed as "Staples," it will probably work, but if it doesn't, there's no point arguing about it.

While attempting to purchase Gamestop gift cards, my paypal account is now completely locked. It made me verify, change my account information, etc. over and over again until it just wouldn't let me do anything at all. I have now been on hold for 20 minutes to get this resolved. Pretty sure I am giving up on this Gamestop element because Paypal makes it impossible.

PPDG claims another victim!

So I decided to (try) cash in eBay Bucks for GS cards, but got the following Error Codes: 70245 70358 TRANSACTION_REFUSED. Looks like I've joined the club.

Did they shut down your paypal account too? your not a member until you get locked out!

Quick question. Does Target ever let you buy $100 Disney cards online? Or is it only $50? I've looked on Target online and it seems you can only buy $50 Disney GC online right now. I'm still new to this but have gone through one successful churn cycle.

I purchased $100 gift cards on line from Target last month.
