Disney Gift Card Deals

I rarely see eBay Bucks offers on Mondays; really more often on Tuesdays, and sometimes Wednesdays or Thursdays. But since we're in a redemption month, who knows?

I still have two weeks to spend my Bucks, and since I'm trying to minimize my volume through Target, I feel no need to make any extra churns for small returns (but still feel like my money's not being productive).

Cool story -- Since I signed my wife up for a new eBay account recently, she received an offer from eBay to incentivize her to sell: an eBay bonus coupon matching up to $50 for an item listed between 4/6-4/30 and sold by 5/10. Well, we were doing some spring cleaning anyway, and just sold an old digital camera for $210 this past weekend. More money and that bonus coupon into the eBay pot!

I feel the same about not running money through Target for such a little gain. Just so not worth it to me!

A few questions to DIS-churners, as I have only paid the deposit on our August trip and am going to use the ol' tax refund (not yet received ) to pay off the trip plus some spending $:
1) What are the limits per month to use ebay gift cards to purchase Target gift cards?
2) What are the "red flag" amounts to stay under to avoid having Target account suspended?
3) What is the time frame to receive the Target gift cards from GCM on ebay, and how are they mailed?

I took @DIS_MERI ’s list of dates for Bucks bonuses and looked up the days for them. I want to walk back a little of what I posted this morning. I started with some churning last November before our Disney trip in December, and then picked it up again in February so my “experience” has been limited to that.

From the dates and days below, it seems last quarter (January to March 2016) saw offers come out most frequently on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (4 times each), and rarely on Mondays and Thursdays (1 time each). January was a Bucks redemption month.

Questions 1 and 2 is anybody's guess -- no one knows. We advise taking it as low and slow as possible to fly under the radar. You probably should not make more than one order a day, not try to exceed per order quantity limits on certain gift cards (like Disney), and certainly do not go over $1000/day (I'd even say anywhere close to that). It might also help to vary your shopping patterns so not every one of your orders include gift cards. And to be clear, if Target decides you are abusing their shopping policies, they don't just "suspend" your account -- there's no pleading your case to restore it -- they "ban" you from ever shopping online at Target .com again.

GCM ships via USPS First Class Parcel for orders under $750, and via UPS with signature required for orders over $750. Both take about a week to arrive, and occasionally a little longer.

1. GCM does not publish their limits. However, people have tried to order a lot of GCs and have gotten a message that they have exceeded the seller's limit for the past 10 days and they were not able to place the order. There have also been people who have had their PayPal account "frozen" because they purchased too many GCs in a short period of time and "nobody buys that many GCs".
2. Target does not publish their "red flag" amounts. If you think that you're ordering too much, you probably are. They will limit the number of eBay GCs of each denomination that you can order within a single transaction. Doing more than one transaction online in a single day may get your order canceled. Or it may not. Ordering the same thing every day may not get you banned, or it might.
3. Lain answered this one already.

The best approach is slow and easy. Fly under the radar. As someone stated earlier in this thread: Pigs get fat. Hogs get slaughtered.

Oh, and a final warning. The bottom could fall out of this at any time. Target may not permit us to purchase GCs with a Target GC. GCM could stop selling Target GCs on eBay. eBay could stop permitting customers to use eBay GCs to buy GCs of any kind. Do not risk more $$$ than you're willing to have tied up in GCs other than Disney GCs.

I went ahead and just did a half order so that way I'm churning something and I have some on the back burner in case there is a promo. If there is I'll probably just put more in with cash, but hopefully it'll be after I'm ready to go again and I won't have to worry about it!

I am so frustrated with Paypal and Ebay. First I got the wrong gift card today, and they told me all they could do is refund it. But I can't buy the new one because Paypal keeps saying that it doesn't recognize me. It keeps wanting to send me a text, but it says it doesn't recognize my cell number, even though I verified that it is on my paypal account! I can log in fine to www.paypal.com.

Is this normal? I feel like paypal is always doing this to me. I don't know why!

I don't think that's always the case. They have several negative reviews on how slow the shipping is. I paid for an Electronic Gift Card on 4/12 and it has still yet to be emailed to me...

You would think egift cards would ship a little faster.

It took over two weeks to receive the coupon. I think they say it can take up to 3 weeks.
