And just as quickly as the Target Groupon came back, it is gone again! I didn't even put my payment info in before it disappeared!

Boy am I REALLY thankful for this thread. This November will be our first trip with FOUR Disney "adults." I just started looking at AYCTE/Entertainment TS prices...:scared1::faint: Seriously, maxing out out eBay bucks per quarter covers ONE meal at some locations, with just a little left. I was already planning for breakfast in the room and cooking some meals during our off-site stay...I guess I just hadn't faced the reality of food costs for this trip.

What restaurant costs $500 for 4 adults? Besides maybe V&E.

We never pay that much, and I enjoy nice restaurants. I think I may have paid $300ish for 6 of us (2 adults, 4 teenagers) at Cali Grill just a year ago, and I think that was the highest bill. If you're not huge eaters, go to a place where you can order from the menu as opposed to a buffet. Some of those buffet prices have skyrocketed. I don't want to turn this into a food thread, but there are definitely some good restaurants with manageable prices. We always eat breakfast in the room, bring a packed lunch in with us, and then sit down for a nice dinner.

I hope we get one more 4x -5x offer this month. I need to snag 1,000 in target cards. I was just going to put my hotel cost on my Disney Visa for my trip next month, but after looking into it I can save well over $100 and still get 1% cash back on my Disney card for the purchase through target.

Me too! I was hoping for a good offer tomorrow, one more churn through & I'll be a good girl until it's time to cash in my Ebay bucks. :)

And even if you can't churn, can you put Target gift cards (on Ebay) on your Visa, and then use those Target cards for Disney gift cards? Like a mini-churn?

Agreed. DH and I ate at many signature restaurants (Jiko, Artist Point, etc.) and buffets this month. The highest bill was $118, including tip. And we ate a lot of food. I don't think I could spend $500 on 4 people in one meal. But hey, if you do, then using churning profits is helpful.

Well, that poster has 6 people...she is saying that 4 are now Disney "adults" so two are still children...However, we are the same. Six people, four 'adults' and two children. I cannot fathom spending $500 on one meal. Now, we don't do signature meals and we stay away from the most $$ character meals so maybe I am missing something. Our priciest meals have been character ones and those are sometimes around $200. We only do one per trip though!!

For Ebay bucks, when a 5x (10%) offer rolls around, you can earn up to $100 per transaction (I think, someone correct me if I'm wrong here), So $1000 x 10% = $100 Ebay bucks. You can earn $500/quarter. So if you're churning $1000 through, earning $500/quarter, there's your $1000 that you're hoping to earn. Plus of course Ebates and all that. So there's an idea, too.

This might be a silly question, but how do I know when ebucks is offering an incentive? Is there an email, or should I check on ebay? TIA

Also, what will flag my redcard? I bought $500 in gift cards last night with gift cards. I have another $600 in target cards, so I'm thinking about using that towards ebay and churn those starting next quarter. It will be my first attempt at a full churn. :)

Thanks everyone for the patience, kindness, and great advice!

No one knows what will flag an account at Target. It's truly a guess your best.

I am starting my first attempt at churning. Do the Ebay deals come out at random or is it a set day of the week? I have Ebay GCs ready to use in the even of an Ebay bonus.

I have caught one or 2 5x for purchases, but I have never paid attention to the frequency.

Open to any tips....

@MarlaSingersLaundry - You *should* get an e mail about the eBucks incentives, but not everyone gets each offer, and some people have reported that they didn't get an e mail but DID see the incentive when they logged into eBay in one of the scrolling banners near the top of the screen. I recently signed up for eBucks using the account I have had for 10+ years, and though I have been buying on eBay this quarter have not seen any of the promotions in the last month since I signed up.

No one is sure what will get you flagged in Target's system.

Ok - maybe I exaggerated (or panicked) a BIT but we definitely want to do HDDR - and that one will cost $331 for 4 Disney Adults + 1 child (oldest will be in college). That is a LOT of money! Especially since the adult ticket includes alcohol (definitely one place they need a "minor adult" pricing)! That leaves roughly $170 leftover, but that doesn't go too far at WDW either. And there are others we'd like to do as well!

My *main point* really is that churning definitely makes these experiences possible- but it's AMAZING how fast the money can get "spent."

People who have followed eBay bucks promotions long-term report that during "earn" months, you can expect 3-4 promotions, and 1-2 during "redeem/spend" months. To my knowledge, they are on weekdays only. Of course, not everyone gets every offer, AND we could be in new territory since the gift card spending cap has been eliminated. Hopefully that will not affect eBay bucks promos, but who knows.

There have been three eBay bucks promos in March so far. Here's hoping for one more this week!

I misunderstood and thought your family was just 4 adults, so that definitely changes the pricing. And it is really silly that they don't have a minor adult price. Glad that this churning is making these experiences possible though!

I don't think I missed an update from you, did you ever get credit on MyPoints for these 2 orders? Thanks

Nope
I have been doing Mypoints for a while and have the routine down pat. So I doubt it is user error twice.

Question for those who use Giftcardmall on Ebay:
Have any of you had your shipment arrive postage due? When you already paid for the shipping as part of the order?
Just happened to me AGAIN, twice in about 2-3 weeks. They escalated my first complaint to their "team" for review but i have not heard back a thing as of yet. Just emailed them again about today's shipment.
My husband is furious and wants me to stop ordering from them.

Are you in the lower 48?
