Disney Gift Card Deals

After getting my account all straightened out a couple of weeks ago, I've just had 2 orders cancelled in a row.

Yesterday morning for (2) $200 ebays and tried again this morning for (3) $100 ebays.

Not sure what is going on, but I'm just going to cool it for awhile and wait till mid week and try again.

It was odd when I logged in this morning. All my Red Card info was missing and I had to reenter it. It's always saved for me and I've never had to enter it before. Not sure if that means anything or not.

ETA....I just tried a non-GC order just to see and that was cancelled too. Def not going to order anything for awhile, nor am I going to call. I'll just wait awhile and see if it clears up. This is def a stressful process.

To those that have had success at Kmart buying Ebay/Disney GCs using Kmart GCs...

I just tried it today and failed. The cashier tried to put it through but the register wouldn't allow it.

I am wondering if it was because it was a paypal egift card and not a true Kmart GC.
only physical cards work, egift cards need manager override.
Yes, asgaga is right, you can only use egift card with a manager override, which I why I skip them. Physical cards don't require manager interaction.

Target has lots of good "buy a number of these items and get a $5 gift card" promos this week. I needed laundry detergent and those were buy 2 get $5, and personal care is spend $20 get $5.

I know $5 isn't much but when you need household items it could add up!

True and the grocery coupon for $10 off $50 isn't bad either.

For all the folks requesting a step by step recipe, I want to reiterate how important it is to go back and invest your time reading this thread before investing your money! I was thrilled in December when I used Target giftcards and redcard to buy our disney tickets for February. When I got home I began reading about other opportunities there may be for saving for our next trip in Oct. 2017.
I read and read and read:surfweb::coffee::surfweb::coffee::surfweb::coffee:-for days!!! Started reading on 2/19 and finally on 2/24 bought a couple hundred $ of Target CG on Raise. I FORGOT to go thu Swagbucks for 1/2 of it so no little SB thereo_O!. THEN I didn't correctly order my EBay CGs from Target so no redcard discount either :sad2:! Yup...the learning curve! Next, I carefully listened to all the advice here about being patient and waiting for a 4x or 5x offer... but got my first offer at 3x and plowed ahead. (A bigger offer came out a few days later :rolleyes1!!!) Indeed, I completed a full churn and took away a few lessons whiles I integrated what I learned from the wonderful folks here. My next round was much better!
It is a complicated sometimes convoluted, confusing process. READ and educate yourself, get hands on with what you learn and begin small so the mistakes you make don't keep you up at night. When you need help, ask specific questions to these pros who are so generous with their knowledge.
A big Thank you to all of you sharing your experiences and advise to those of us new to this carnival -Not for the faint of heart or the impatient! (sorry I can't remember who to give credit for that)
I am on my way to DisneyWorld in Oct 2017 and this thread is helping make it possible!!! THANK YOU!!!!:smickey:

I thought I would chime in here. I have been reading, studying and dipping my toe in the water slowly as many have suggested. To all the newbies like me, there is a learning curve. My first experience almost cost me $14. I didn't realize when I bought my 1st Target GC on Ebay that I had to choose my paypal payment method. So the money was zapped out of my verified bank account. Not realizing it until a couple of days later, my bank account went below the $100 minimum and I incurred a $14 bank fee. Not really the object of the game. Luckily, the bank reversed the charge off my account and all was good. However, in my haste to get the $20 coupon off of my Ebay purchase, I forgot to click through Ebates and because of my inexperience I lost the rewards $ from paying with my credit card. Hence, the learning curve.

That was my first lesson. From reading and reading, patience is a virtue. Slow and steady will win this race. And as they say on Wall Street, "Sometimes the bears, Sometimes the bulls ,but never the pigs." If try to take too much from Target you will get shut down and your game will be over. My advice, even if your trip is close at hand, nibble away and try to save what you can before your trip. Don't try to bite off the whole thing. Then come back and start saving for the next trip. I personally am just trying to get enough Disney GC at a discount to pay for my AP for a trip I have planned in October. Then I will work on getting DGC to pay my annual dues at DVC. Slow and steady.

Thanks to all on this thread who continue to help and mentor. It is much appreciated!!!

For the more experienced churners, people are being banned from Target.com not ebay right?
The bans that most of us are talking about have been Target bans. However, PayPal or eBay could also shut down your account(s) for a violation of their TOS as well. One way to get shut down would be to create multiple accounts on eBay for the purpose of taking advantage to limited quantity special offers. PayPal could shut you down if you supplied false information. But in both of those cases, you would know that you were circumventing their rules before you did it. In Target's case, their rules are so nebulous that there's no way to be able to tell if you've violated them until you cannot place any Target .com orders. They don't even notify you when they ban you.

I am so out of the loop...I would love to learn more about your savings. Is there a post # I should start with that would be the most helpful. I'm assuming there are a couple hundred pages or so that are outdated. TIA

Hmm, do you think it will be an issue to have 2 accounts (1 for my husband and 1 for me) for Ebucks that is tied to the same paypal account?

Could just be my computer, but it seems to me like Target did away with their new "Order History" area - for the last few weeks it had changed & instead of listing the orders it was just showing a picture of what you ordered. I hated it! I hope they switched it back!

Start reading on page 470. You'll find the most current information starting there and reading forward.

The eBucks wouldn't be a problem because they would belong to each individual account. The only problem that I see with sharing a PayPal account would come from trying to keep track of which eBay GCs were used for which eBay account.
