FYI
I went to Sam's Club today and they had a bundle of 3 $50 gift cards ($150) for $142.98 so I got a few bundles that's a 5% off and then I will get my Discover card points.

Did they have lower dollar amounts?

Not sure if they had any others. I need $770 more for my trip so I was looking for the most.

What kind of Discover card points?

The Discover card (which I think is the only credit card Sam's Club takes) give you points for each purchase. I think it's only 1 or 2 % and each quarter they have categories worth 5%.
Starting April 1st the category is home improvement. so I will go to Lowe's and but Disney gift cards there. Get my 5% for the purchases and use the points for Bath & Body works cards or Children's Place cards. They have no Disney but many others. You can use like 20 points for a $25 gift card.

I just happened to be in a Sam's club on friday and noticed that. I assumed this was their usual deal (have not been to a sams club in over a year) Is this new? Maybe I should be running back to buy them?!

If you buy 3 at Target with your Red Card it is 142.50. a bit better deal that Sam's.

Noticed in this week's Kroger ad that they were featuring 4x Fuel Points on Gift Cards through April 22. I'd check your local ad to be sure. Drawback for me is that there's a limited time to redeem them and these days our commutes are so short we only fill up once a month (and of course I just did!!).

does sams club have a day card? we don't have a sams near us but will be traveling soon and if they did i would like to check the store out and maybe get a few gift cards.

You can purchase as a non member but then they charge a 5-7% fee on your purchase. I find it easier to get a friend with a card to go with me.

True, but a while back, folks were saying that they could use a decent paying rewards credit card to buy a Walmart gift card, then go to SAMs and purchase the WDW gcards with it, thus saving the almost 5% as well as whatever their rewards credit card paid them for purchasing the Walmart gcard to begin with.

Not sure if SAMs closed that loophole or not since that time.

Even if they did, you can use a credit card to purchase the WDW gcards, and still save more than Target. Most rewards cards pay at least 1%.

I don't know about you guys, but I think it's completely unacceptable that I cannot use multiple gift cards to buy park tickets. I have never heard of a company that won't take multiple gift cards so it was totally unexpected when they told me on the phone that basically I was screwed. I bought $400 in $50 gift cards at Target. Disney has my money and now I can't get the park tickets I want. This is not okay.

This is their usual deal but I had a hard time getting them most of last year. they had them near Christmas and then again nothing until now. Not sure if when they run out they will be out again until Christmas.

I've paid for packages over the phone with gift cards lots of times, online as well. You can also buy them from the Disney store using gift cards. The only hiccup I've heard of when it comes to disney GCs is that they can only take so many different forms of payment - 3 I think (but that is forms of payment not actual cards).

I would ask to speak to a manager. If no luck after that I would use them for hotel and meal costs. I can't speak for others but in our house they would never go to waste.

I talked to two people from guest services that told me they would only take one of my gift cards and the rest would have to be on credit card. I then called gift card services to see if they would combine my gift cards and the answer was no. He also would not allow me to speak with a supervisor. So I called our local Disney store who told me I could not purchase a larger gift card with my gift cards. I was in tears. $400 is a lot of money for my family.

Unfortunately we are staying at a time share for this visit and most likely won't go back for many years. Also we are only doing two days at the parks so meals won't add up to $350.

Keep calling. It is still possible. I paid for two trips with lowly $25 gift cards... one cruise and one land. The cruise I must have been on the phone reading off numbers for 45 min straight!
