Disney Gift Card Deals

I tried TCB twice last October when Ebates wasn't offering any cashback on gift card purchases on ebay. The cashback showed up very quickly for me at the 1.1% rate they were paying, but over the new few weeks I watched the amount drop to less than a quarter of what I was expecting. Had to submit a ticket and wait forever for someone to investigate. Finally, they credited the original amount to my account. As soon as it was available for redemption, I cashed out and resolved never to use them again. Since then Ebates has consistently offered 1% on gift cards and has paid out every time without hassle, so that's worth the lesser amount to me.

Same here and nothing yet.
This is what it says when you click on more information for their ebay page. So, maybe there's still hope they will credit?

"Expect transactions for this retailer to appear within a few days, but can be just over a week in some cases. Transactions take about 8 days to become confirmed and about 60 - 90 days to become payable."

What do you ladies do after you've exhausted your $5,000 in Ebay GC per 6 mos? Assuming I can churn the cards I already have twice in March, then I can really only purchase $500 more and churn those twice as well before I hit my $5,000 limit. After those two churns, I will have $1,800 in Disney GC and probably a couple hundred more in rewards that I can turn into GCs, but I need at least $5,250 (preferably $6,500). So what's next for the most savings? Is it just getting them through raise and then going on Target with the red card discount?

The HEB deal is good through tomorrow. If you added the coupon when it first came out, you can add the "updated" coupon which is limited to a single purchase, but it will double-up the discount. In other words, with both coupons, you can get a $100 Disney gift card for $60, once.

Thank you! That would be soooo nice. I went to 5 stores tonight and not a card to be found.

I just now saw my two purchases I made on Thu, Feb 25th, at Ebay, show up. But, they are not showing the proper amount. On Thursday, same day I was taking advantage of the 5x ebucks promo, TCB was running a 2.5% Ebay cashback deal. But, mine aren't showing that. My $1200 order is showing $8.18, not even 1%, and my $400 order is showing $4.13, just over 1%. The $1200 order, at 2.5% should be $30. cashback and the $400 order should get $10. I've never done it before but wondering if I need to may a claim?

Am I understanding eBay bucks correctly? I just signed up and read the info pages. It says current offering is 2% on qualifying purchases ( excludes eBay gc's, but Target gc's qualify?). So, if I purchase a $100 Target GC, pay through PayPal, I earn 2 eBay bucks? If that is correct does that mean when they have, say, a 3x ebay bucks I would earn $6 on that purchase?

Yes

Yep! So regularly eBay bucks is 2%. You're correct in that you'd earn 3x or 6%, 4x or 8%, etc.

Same here. Mine posted as just over 1% when it should have been 2.5%.

I'm beginning to understand why the ebay route is worth the effort. So far I haven't gotten any email deals or alerts. How would I know if something were 3x, 4x eBay bucks? Thanks for the help, you guys are the best.:)

I check the disboards once a day and usually someone posts if they receive an ebay bucks deal from ebay. Alot of times you will receive an email letting you know of the bonus to ebay bucks too.

Sorry, one more question. Some people use a Target Red card to buy an eBay gc then use the eBay gc to buy Target Cards (THEN the Disney gc). If you use an eBay gc to buy a Target gc, don't you lose the eBay bucks ( I thought I understood you have to pay through PayPal to get the eBay bucks)?

You still get the eBay bucks, even if you pay with an eBay gift card.

Ok, thank you. Do you guys have Target gc on hand for this or do you buy e- eBay cards for the first part of the transactions?

Cardpool should have some sort of guarantee on the GCs. You need to deal with them. Target will not help you with this. I know that it's frustrating. I've had a number of GCs that I purchased on Raise that got drained...one within minutes of delivery. Raise was always very good about refunding my money. Hopefully Cardpool customer service is just as good.

Any update?

I know others have said they keep half in Ebay gift cards and half in Target gift cards. The tricky part is that Target gift cards, purchased from Ebay, take a while to ship - maybe a week to a week and a half for me. So if you are trying to "churn" quickly, you could miss out on these deals. I try to break mine up into two, that way at any given time I'd hopefully have some Ebay gift cards (or Target gift cards that I can use to purchase Ebay) on hand to take advantage of an Ebay deal.

Most stores seem to be cleaned out, but I found a whole stack at one last night. Also, the $25 cards also work when you buy $100 worth. Or, at least some of them do. I've had luck with the "Cars" version of the $25 cards, but the "Princess" version didn't seem to qualify for the coupon.
