Disney Gift Card Deals

For those that are completely eliminating Ebates from their formula (I have because it never worked for me) you can use MyPoints. It doesn't give nearly as good of a return value but I've made 10 gift card only purchases and every single one of them has been credited by MyPoints without issue. It's 2 points per $1 spent and takes a minimum of 1,750 points for a ($10) Target gift card. So, you have to spend $875 just to get $10 ($2,000 for $25 or $3,900 to get $50) but it's better than a $0 return :)
I can attest to the fact that MyPoints works because I used it when Target was offering their GCs at 10% off at Christmas time. I used Target GCs to purchase $300 in Target GCs by going thru the MyPoints portal and I got my points from the shopping trip.

There is nothing illegal about reselling, but just because something is legal doesn't mean Target is ok with you doing it.

Loss leaders mean stores lose a little bit of money on a really good deal to get you to buy other things that they'll make money on. Grocery stores have them all the time - they sell items below cost, but they limit the number you can buy. I can bet if you tried to find a way to buy $10,000 worth of Pepsi at a steep discount at your local store, they'd refuse your business. This is Target's way of shutting off the hose - they're fairly certain they won't make back the money they've lost on all the discounts - in fact, based on the buying pattern, they're probably guessing they'll just keep losing money.

We're all trying to find how to walk the line between taking advantage of a loophole and being seen as abusing the system by Target. Thank you Susan for posting your experience here as a warning and for trying to provide information as to what you think might've gone wrong. We're all a bit tense, too, that the gravy train could end for us, so what might feel like very direct comments from some posters come from trying to really nail down specific activities and levels that will tip Target to shut down a user's access to Target .com.

The other aspect, specific to this case - where tens of thousands of dollars in transactions were happening over a relatively short period of time - is that there may have been some money laundering flags raised. I know that the poster is not doing anything close to money laundering, but it wouldn't surprise me of some bot somewhere has put up a big red stop sign to her account given the sheer amount of money we're discussing. Unless you're moving money around like this, I'd take this case as an anomaly and not something to add to the 'let's connect the dots with the "reseller" banning' calculation.

You guys are funny! My favorite quotes..... "My kids think that the feds will be at my door" "corner the market on wooden rulers" "By the time I'm ready to cash in for my Disney Gift Cards, there won't be a worn towel in my house" "I found a bunch of multipack clearance socks for like $1.80 and felt like I won the lottery".

I was also curious why bsusanmb had so much Ebates too. I wasn't thinking of other stores even though I use Ebates for other stores.
I don't think it was the Ebates that got her banned. I think it was the huge amount, resale gcs and possibly the rulers. I keep getting orders cancelled. I'm probably next to be banned. My orders are between $200-$800. I add several items because I think it looks less suspicious and because I forget what the cash back exclusions are. Some things I have added are coffee filters, combs, cotton balls, razors, gum, shampoo, onsies, tshirts, bday candles, barrettes, wet ones, toothpaste.

Has anybody had luck ordering ebay gift cards off of target paying with a target gift card? My orders got cancelled today. Wonder if it is low stock? Did I miss something?

I ordered a $200 one this morning without a problem. And I paid with Target GCs...two that were from rewards programs and one that I had purchased on eBay thru GCM.

Well, just a word of warning. I just found out that I am banned from target.com. I didn't know I was until every order I put in was immediately cancelled. And this was for everyday products, not DGC. I had bought hundreds in the past, but not for a couple months now. I am not a reseller. Just funding my cruises. Really irritates me. I stock my pantry with household goods shipped to my home getting $5 free gift cards, and have spent thousands of on electronics and small appliances, and toys for my 4 grandchildren. I am a 66 year old retired lady living on my retirement. Imagine that, Target thinks I am a threat to their bottom line. That's a joke. Why can't they just say you can't buy anymore GC's? I don't know the real reason I am banned, no one could tell me that, only to read the rules and regs of shopping on line. I did get huge ebate checks from my target purchases, taking the advice to add something to my cart when purchasing gc's to get the ebate, so that could be something, but from other threads with others being banned, I think it is just the amount of gift cards purchased. I am "welcome to shop in the store and use my Target red card" but Target.com is a separate entity and has different rules. I feel like I committed a crime like Bernie Madoff.

Oh man, that stinks, especially since it has to be the discount card vendor sites again. It could be that they don't have a specific reason that fits the action for banning you (but that would surprise me if their attorneys allowed banning on flimsy criteria or ambiguous language). I want to read the "rules and regs of shopping online" to better understand what they are basing their grounds on. Did they actually say "you are a reseller"? Unless the rules and regs has some very liberal definition for reseller, you do not meet the definition. If you weren't doing something blatantly and obviously wrong according to the R&R I would demand an explanation.

This is off topic, but have any of you that use shopkick noticed that the target giftcard option is gone?

Target seems to have a whole new site, new order process. Initial reaction was the glitch is gone. Tested, it still works. So don't panic when you see the new site.

Haven't looked but that's a bummer and what my goal was set at. I will have to look into it. Amazon would be just as good for me.

Yes, sorry, I meant to tag that disclaimer on the end.

I get 100 points per month for doing 41 searches through their search and earn tab. And I also do the click e-mails (email is linked to my phone so I do these while I'm waiting in the pick-up lane at school ;) ). And I try to remember to print my coupons through them (they use the coupons.com portal) for 10 points per coupon used in stores. There have been times that they have had a better payout for things vs Ebates and Swagbucks as well doing shop and earn.

I've been slowly using MyPoints more also. For one thing I'm looking for a way to buy clean gift cards to give as gifts and through MyPoints/Swappable I can get some rewards. I also get MP for being a BzzAgent; and for Target purchases.

Several pages ago there was a discussion about Target always cancelling the $200 ebay gift card orders. I was one that mentioned mine had never been cancelled. Guess I spoke too soon. :chat: Tonight my $200 gift card was cancelled. :crazy2: I just reordered two $100 so I hope that order goes through.

I ordered $300 worth today of eBay cards, one being a $200 one, and I did get it no problem.

Me too I was so close to a $5 gift card-thinking the next time I cash out I might just delete the app since I preferred Target gift cards and it seems to be taking me longer to accumulate points. Does anyone really give Shopkick their credit card info to earn points?! That seems like SUCH a bad idea to me

I've been doing the Swappable offers through MyPoints as well. Did you get the one today? In the body (picture part) of the email, it says get up to 2,500 points when you buy a $100 Amazon, but on the button where you click to get to their website, it says earn 2,500 points for buying any gift card from Swappable.

I'd rather buy an ebay gift card, but only if I get the points. Have you ever noticed one like this? Do you think we'd get the points for buying ANY gift card or just Amazon. I can always use Amazon too, but would rather have the ebay at this point.

I use the Best Buy shop and earn, because they just scan the bar code on your app, it isn't linked by credit card. I will still use it. I will either get Walmart or bestbuy to get Disney cards. Or I will get fandango, free movie and get Disney movie reward points to trade in for gift cards, I haven't decided yet.

Yes, I did get it and wondered the same thing! Is it only Amazon? I can't tell from the wording.

Just wanted to put in my two cents as well. I just purchased almost $1000 two weekends ago. I purchased two orders for $300 then two days later made another 2 orders for the rest. All using target ecards from cardpool. Knock on wood! Nothing yet. Now I'm wondering if I should slow down some. All this talk of banning sure does make me nervous. All in all I have also spent quite a bit of money on target just in Disney gift cards. Hmmm.

Does giftcardmall just run out of the discounted Target cards offer? They are still showing $100 cards but not for $95/free shipping.
