Disney Gift Card Deals

Got my first batch of target gift cards churned through eBay. Now, to decide how many I want to use to buy more eBay cards or just cash out for Disney gift cards. Decisions, decisions. It was fun to finally figure out how this all works, and I am not going back again until November so I am thinking I will cash out half and keep half.

I think I'd keep churning, myself. Likely you will still get other 5x and 4x reward offers over then next 6 months. That's a good bit of churning to make some good cash, free money! I've done it twice now with $650 the first time at 4x, added a little next time to $900 in gc's and $750 by cc, at 5x, and have over $200 in ebay bucks! I have a trip in May to DL, and a trip to WDW in Nov. I want to get as many ebay bucks as possible in the quarter. $500 is the max available in a quarter and I want to get as close to that as possible, lol! Then again, there is the $5000 limit on using ebay gc's per a rolling 6 months, so that is important to watch as well. Maybe don't do smaller ebucks promos so you can be ready for a bigger one that may come along and maximize what you can get. But, above all, of course, only do what you are comfortable with in your situation!

Thanks, I think the thing that makes me slightly Leary too is not just the money tied up but the risk of getting banned from target. But from what I have read it has only happened to people who bought their target gift cards from other sources not gift card mall. Do you always get the eBay cards by ecards or do you sometimes order the physical gift cards from target? I just noticed from your ticker you are going to WDW one week after us in November!

Thank you for the information! I just read through the fine print and see they don't offer cash back on gift cards. So, no different than ebates after all.
iConsumer pays back 4% on eBay purchases, including gift cards (other than eBay gift cards), up to $20 per month. I've used them twice so far and have been credited, but have not received my payout yet.

For Target purchases I've been using MyPoints, and have been getting credited for GC-only purchases.

How do you do this and not lose the 5% Target Red Card discount?
You can pay with GCs on Target .com and still get the 5% discount if you have your Target REDCard set as your default form of payment. You add the items to your cart and then proceed through the checkout as if you were going to pay with your REDCard. The 5% comes off. Before submitting, click on the "Pay with GC". This takes you back to the page where you enter your payment info. Add the GCs and click "apply" after each one. You can use up to 4 Target GCs on an order. The 5% discount should remain in place through the checkout process even if you are paying for your order entirely with GCs.

I thought I read someone else (so sorry, I forget who) say that they keep half of their GC's in Target, and half of their GC's in Ebay. That way, if a good Ebay deal comes along, they have the gift cards readily available to take advantage. And in the mean time, they could churn the Target GC's if they want as well.

That's kind of what I was thinking. Last week was my first churn through eBay with the 5 X bucks and I got $400 the first day and $450 the second day in target gift cards. I am thinking I will buy $450 more of the eBay to have on hand for whenever or if I do get another good promotion and hang on to the other $400 target cards for now. I also already have quite a few Disney gift cards that I bought with the in store target promotion of buying 2 and getting a free target $5 card too.

Good idea! I have mine separate as well, $300 and $250. That's about all I needed for now so I didn't do too much. At first I was annoyed with myself because I wanted it all together, BUT Target limits you to 4 gift cards per transaction anyways, so it all worked out. If you had 4 $150 cards from Gift Card Mall (Ebay), you could probably do $600 at a time. $450 is good though because then that's 3 $150 from Ebay and if you need to use a 4th (say to use up a balance on another one or something), you can do that.

Thank you. Didn't know you could do that

I just noticed that iConsumer has lowered their % back on eBay purchases from 4% down to 3%. It's still higher than the other cash back sites I'm aware of - Mr. Rebates (2%), MyPoints (2pts/$1, approx. 1.4%), or eBates (1% on GC's), but just FYI for those comparing cash back options. iConsumer also still caps eBay cash back at $20/month, so at 3% that would allow you to churn about $675 through there before you hit the cap.

MrRebates disclaims paying any cash back on Ebay purchases paid for by Gift Card. Not sure if you've gotten this to work or not.

I haven't used Mr. Rebates in quite a while. It doesn't state that in the restrictions on their eBay page, but will keep that in mind if I go back to using them. (FWIW, it does state that on MyPoints Target page and I've been credited there for Target purchases paid for by GC.) I consider cash back from sites like these as gravy, since it doesn't always work. If it does, great, if it doesn't I just move on and try a different one next time.

I noticed that this morning as well. I also saw where they are doing a double cash back promo beginning today for the next week. I'm trying to clarify whether they are doubling the 3% to make it 6% cash back, or if they are considering the 3% already doubled. I'll post back here when I hear back from them.

Yes, I got an e-mail about the double cash back as well but it said for select stores so I assumed eBay wasn't one of them. IIRC, the last time they did double cash back it showed the original % crossed out with the doubled % listed underneath, similar to how eBates notes when they are doing an increased cash back promo for select stores only. If you find a list of the doubled stores or hear back about the eBay %, please let us know.

I think you're right. Just heard back from them . . .

" . . . The double cash back is reflected in the amount shown on the iConsumer website."

So 3% it is!

So the 3% is the doubled amount? Their answer is still somewhat confusing. If so and their regular % is dropping down to 1.5%, that's a huge drop. I'm expecting my Target GC's from GCM on Friday so I should be able to get in one churn at the 3% cash back. Still disappointing if they are dropping from 4% down to 1.5%.
