From what I can tell, it is similar to other rewards programs that pay you to shop through their portal. Ebates pays you a % of your subtotal back in cash and pays out quarterly as long as you have at least $5 in your account. Is Iconsumer like ebates? I looked at it and it says if you join now you get 100 shares of their stock?
iConsumer also pays a cash back rebate that gets paid 90 days after the transaction is reported by the retailer (not necessarily 90 days after your shopping trip) and when your account has $25 worth of qualifying rebates. So, the first payment would be 90 days after you have $25 or more in rebates credited to your account. The whole business about awarding members shares of stock means nothing when the company has not gone public, nor has it received permission from the SEC to do so. According to their FAQs, they intend to sell their stock for 9¢ per share if they are approved. That number is subject to change (up or down) and is only on paper until you liquidate your shares and pay any brokerage fees.
