Disney Gift Card Deals

Is everyone else still getting ebates cashback when buying gift cards from Target + a small item? I have not gotten credited for my last three orders so just wondering if it is only me.

No, I stopped using ebates for Target on gift cards. I just use Mypoints and don't have to add something to the order anymore. But if I was to order something legitimate, then I would use ebates.

I just got Ebates rewarded for a $200 Ebay gift card I purchased at Target. I've decided to only purchase an extra item that I really do need/use. This time it was dish cloths for $3.99, minus 5% Redcard discount. Ebates credited the full cost of my gift cards and the dish cloths.

Thanks to all of the info you wonderful people here have provided, I was able to save my family right about 31.5% on our first ever Disney trip using swagbucks, Raise, and Target for Disney gift cards. I ended up with $2950 in Disney cards, which we paid only $2021 for. I cannot even explain just how thrilled I am about this. There is definitely no way I could have pulled this off without everything you have all shared here. We just decided in early September to take this trip and I joined swagbucks around the end of September. I cannot believe I was able to save so much in just a few short months. Now I know with more time the savings could really add up. We just got back a week ago and I'm already ready to plan for our next trip.

However, it looks like we'll be taking a cruise next year instead of doing Disney again. As much as we really want to go back soon, we finally might be able to get several members of our large extended family to vacation together next year and the consensus is to take a cruise. I suggested a Disney cruise, but the family has out voted me...LOL....Carnival cruise it is then.

I know this isn't Disney related at all, but I thought maybe some of you might have some ideas to help me out. I'm hoping to be able to save on Carnival gift cards using a similar method as with the Disney cards. Carnival gift cards seem to be a lot more hard to come by online than Disney cards, which I suppose should not be surprising. I did find them on Amazon. I figured if I could find some way to still churn through Target, then I would still get the 5% redcard discount there, and Target definitely does not have Carnival cards. My first thought was use swagbucks to get Target cards, but I honestly have no idea where to go from there. I have yet to find a way to get Amazon cards to churn into Carnival cards. I know swagbucks offers Amazon cards as a reward, but I was really hoping to be able to churn somehow to make the most of it all.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Congrats on your successful trip! You might consider Perk Rewards to earn your Carnival gift cards. I am not fully up to speed on Perk (just learning myself) but there is another thread you where folks who are Perk experts can help get you started. PerkTV thread

I think someone posted a while back about either Carnival or Royal Carribean giftcards that they can be a pain. Maybe you can't use them to book the actual cruise? Don't quote me on it but I'd do some research first into how they can be used before investing in a bunch.

It was Royal Caribbean that couldn't be used on much (on the cruise fare only, not on shipboard account), I check Carnival's before I recommended ebay and they can be used for anything on the cruise :)

I looked at mypoints portal- Raise isn't on the list....? what am I missing?

Does anyone have luck getting credit for raise.com through TCB? I now have 4 tickets in with them for points not credited. They show I clicked through to the merchant but nothing for the purchase.

I did on Jan 19th and Feb 4th, that was the last time I tried.

I've never had a problem with TCB when buying from Raise.

Wow, diminished availability (and discount) for Target cards on Raise (from what I am used to in my very small window of experience). Is this typical of what you see throughout the year after the post Christmas influx?

Isn't there some kind of limit in lifetime gift card purchases - maybe $1,000? I seem to remember reading this ages ago, but I've forgotten details.

Is there a limit on the number of Disney gift cards you can buy at Target?

I just came from Target...bought (10) $50 cards (thats all they had) used my Redcard, received the 5% off, no tax...stopped at another Target on the way home to buy the rest of what I needed to pay off my hotel (7) $100 and (4) $50, using my Redcard again to receive the 5% off and my purchase was declined on my Redcard. Very embarrasing...the guy behind me says maybe you don't have enough money to buy those...I politely said yes I do. (in my head I'm thinking you idot I know I have more than enough $$ to pay for them...anyway the manager that came over said he'd go ahead and give me the 5% off since the Redcard was declined...so I used my Chase Disney card to pay for those...not only did I get the 5% off the cards, I earned 1% back on my Disney card! I assume it was declined because of the quantity I was trying to buy at one time...IDK but I'll be emailing them to complain

Was it a debit Redcard or credit Redcard? I remember someone last year that had a problem with a new debit Redcard. the funds aren't automatically deducted from your checking account and she was restricted to a "limit" that is approved and processed before allowing her to purchase more again. Sounds very similiar.

If it is a debit card there are restrictions to how much you can purchase in a day. $500 in one store and an attempt to purchase $900 in another store probably triggered your limit.

Well I went and tried to purchase $300 worth of EBay cards from Target's desktop site, on my phone and it would not give me the 5% off. I tried putting in a Disney gift card and it did, tried the ruler and it did. But when I put in the EBay gift cards in my cart, my 5% got cut off, every time! But I was getting the 5% off on the app. Yet, the app was not allowing me to use gift cards for payment.

At this point I thought my EBay/Target churning days were over. So I went and uninstalled the Target app of off my phone and then I reinstalled it and it worked!! Got the 5% off and was able to use my gift cards.

Now I was previously able to get the 5% off of the EBay cards on Target's desktop site, but it seems as a no go now and I really don't think this is a good sign.

I use TCB for many purchases besides Raise and never have a single problem getting credited for any of those other purchases. In fact, they normally post to TCB within hours. Raise is a different story. I have trouble getting my credit from TCB and it is the only store I have problems getting my credit from SB's (if I decide to use them instead of TCB). SO, what this tells me is the problem is not TCB or SB's. The problem is Raise in that they are not reporting the sale. If they don't report it, you do not get credit unless you put in a ticket and the cashback site investigates.

The availability does seem to vary a lot. I think there was a lot after Christmas as people returned gifts and got store credits but probably not as many hitting the market right now. Also, Target has TV's on sale this week for 10% off. Maybe people are buying up for that??? I remember once last year, Target had some kind of Apple product on sale, slickdealers went nuts and bought up all the giftcards.

The sky is not falling. Everything's the same.

I have no idea but will check. I just signed up for TCB though and have all of $1.91 in rebates with them so far. I have received credit for 3 purchases through cardpool but all 4 I've done for raise.com have not credited. I'm a "small" purchaser and all my gc purchases through TCB have been less than $100 each.
