Disney Gift Card Deals

I just used $20 in BestBuy rewards to buy a $25 Disney gift card.

According to my spreadsheet, I have a current savings rate of about 27% on my Disney and Southwest gift card purchases. That amount is based on my out of pocket cost for the final gift card (Disney or SWA) and does NOT factor in the rebates earned on the purchases...which would be way to complicated.

...I earn rebates from Ebates, Sunshine Rewards, etc which is then deposited into my PayPal account which then earns another 1% rebate when I spend it which then gets deposited the next month...and so on...

Now they are sold out of the Disney GCs online, I need a new plan. Our trip has to be paid in full Feb. 8th so I don't have a ton of time. Could someone just give me a quick step by step of the process that everyone seems to be using?

Also, can you get the redcard discount if you buy the Disney cards in store?

If you need them quick, your safest, surest discount will be to use your RedCard in the store and save the 5% on the gift cards. That way, you have the cards in your hand immediately. Another option is if you can find Target GC's at a >5% discount, you could use those to buy Disney gift cards in the store too, but you would only get the RedCard discount on anything NOT covered by the gift card.

I know, I have $300 in Target that I am wondering if I will ever be able to convert to Disney. I check randomly for the Disney GC or when someone puts the word out here that they are in, but I have been too late by the time I get online at Target. I guess I could buy eBay cards but have not attempted that step yet. Maybe I will try to read back in this thread over the weekend to get the steps down to incorporate the eBay option. Hope you have a great trip

If you have Target gift cards, you are never "stuck" not being able to convert them to Disney gift cards - you just won't have the opportunity to get the 5% off loophole that you can take advantage of by purchasing online.

With only 3 weeks left to monkey around and Target perhaps not being restocked for a few more weeks, your best options are exactly as kristenrice described.

So glad you posted this. It dawned on me that I had made some large purchases in store at Christmas time but had not applied them to my rewards account. I was able to call and they applied the purchases retroactively. Just wish my local store had ebay gift cards in stock.

Ok, so I got the $200 EBay card off of Target and I did manage to purchase one of the $100 EBay cards to for $95. So technically I have $205 worth of EBay cards for a cost of $180.50. But it says it can take 24 hours for the delivery off the Ebay card that I purchased off of Ebay. Is that normal?

Ok, so I got the $200 EBay card off of Target and I did manage to purchase one of the $100 EBay cards to for $95. So technically I have $205 worth of EBay cards for a cost of $180.50. But it says it can take 24 hours for the delivery off the Ebay card that I purchased off of Ebay. Is that normal?

Yes - there are often delays in activating electronic delivery cards.

Yes, this is normal. However, I have never had one take 24 hours when coming from eBay...more like 2-4 hours...Now, when I buy eBay from Target, gah, those can take FOREVER...!

Just cycled my last bit of Ebay bucks and GC into target cards. I feel like I hit some kind of milestone with that being my last cycle. It's a little bittersweet but still celebrating big time.


Now just need some good juju for target to get cards back in stock. Got a little over 30 days.....

You have to go into your paypal account to check the balance. I had a heck of a time trying to figure it out last week.

Click Wallet when logged into your paypal account. At the bottom left of the screen there should be a link to go to CLASSIC site. Click on that then go to My Money and you should see the Gifts and Discounts which will show your balance.

I bookmarked your previous post where you listed the steps out (thanks for that). I'm also thinking about trying a $200 ebay-Target churn. Just wondering if you are pleased with the results vs. effort?

So far I am. The hardest part will be reading about others getting a 4xs offer for EBay bucks and not getting one. And that may very well happen. I hope I will get one at some point, but there is no quarentee.

Lol I'm in the same boat. I had bought a bunch and 8 got cancelled so now I'm sitting on close to $400 in Target gift cards. You can always go to the store and buy the ones they have, just not with the 5%, but you still got your raise.com discount, if you did that. I'm confused by the whole ebay churn thing and haven't found a post that really irons out the details, plus we have to be paid by Feb 11th so churning at this point wouldn't really work I don't think. sounds more long term to me.

I stumbled on that the other night too (I think its new). Thank goodness! Much easier to check versus the "old way." I always found myself searching paypal for 20 minutes trying to figure out how to check my balance.

I have $424.46 on Target gift cards right now. if I buy $400.00 in ebay gift cards what do i do to save money and results in getting disney gift cards?
