Disney Gift Card Deals

This is posted on the target website.....

Target Mobile GiftCards can no longer be combined using the Target App. If you would like to combine your GiftCards, please bring your current GiftCards to your Target store to purchase one single GiftCard for the combined value. Keep in mind, up to four GiftCards may be applied to a single Target.com order.
That's so funny considering when I went to Target this morning, the cashier didn't want to let me buy Target gift cards with a Target gift card. I told her to just scan my gift card, and she would see that it works perfectly. And, of course, it did!:confused3

I wasn't able to combine tonight (I got a Target card in the mail from my credit card points). I went to "edit" the current card, backed out of that and then the option was suddenly there and I was able to do it.

I just tried this and the combine option was suddenly there for me too.

I am sorry if this has already been asked, but just want to make sure I have this right - I can buy discounted Target gift cards on Raise, and then use those Target Gift cards to buy more Target Gift cards when they run the sale next week? Then with the newly purchased 10% gift cards and I can then buy Disney Gift Cards (at face value)? Just wondering if I should keep an eye on Raise or if part of the upcoming 10% deal indicates that you can't buy Target Gift Cards with Target Gift cards.

I had to open my yap

I merged a few cards easy-peasy then suddenly the combine option disappeared and hasn't come back.

ETA: The aforementioned edit a card to (temporarily) bring back the combine button did work. For how long until the developers close that loophole, who knows?

Ok so I am confused as usual!! I have always just added the target electronic gift card and it applies the total to what I owe in my cart. I am able to add a total of 4 GC's is this not working now?

No people are talking about the old mobile website. For a long time target had a mobile website (that you logged into with your cell phone number and a PIN number) and one of the features was the ability to combine gift cards. People who get small $5 target gift cards (either from point programs like shopkicks or from buying weekly target deals like the Disney cards last week) used this feature to combine all those gift cards into one larger card. People also used this to transfer the balance immediately after buying a gift card from companies like Raise to prevent dishonest sellers from trying to drain the card after the sale. Now with that function gone the only option would be to buy larger target gift cards using the small ones to combine them and/or using the raise/card pool/etc to immediately purchase a new card to protect it from the original owner. Hopefully Target never stops allowing people to buy target gift cards with target gift cards-then we'd really all be out of luck!

I was able to merge cards yesterday morning but the ability was gone last night. Where do you find "edit a card"?

When I saw the "going away from pin login" announcement, I was afraid this was going to happen. I suppose this will limit some giftcard rolling and 5% default discount use, but it will also increase lines at customer service. I am sure the math-heads at Target figured the potential increased labor cost and/or decrease in shopper loyalty offsets the discount hits. I will be interested to see if there are other changes by the time the Sunday ad hits. Really hoping the combine option removal is the extent of it.

So I just got am email from EBay announcing 4x bucks. Now how is the best way to take advantage of this? Do Target sell electronic EBay GC's and visa versa? The same is for two days only. If they do not sell E gift cards then definitely will not be any time.

In the mobile target website, go to "my mobile gift cards".

Sign in with your mobile phone number and PIN.

Click a card you would like to combine.

When the card details pop up, click on the name you gave the card.

Change the name to something new.

Click "save"

The "Combine" button now appears.

Target sells electronic eBay gift cards that arrive via email, usually within a few hours. However, the easiest place to buy Target gift cards on eBay is through Gift Card Mall (GCM), and they only mail physical cards, which usually take about a week to show up.

Thank you so much!

Help me out...I think reading all of these posts about no longer combining Target Gift Cards has gotten me confused...

I went to m.target.com and, yes, my option to combine is no longer there. So, I read here that I can combine gift cards by "buying" another Target gift card. Here's my list of questions...
Can I do this online?
If so, is it a physical gift card that they mail or is it an e-card?
And if I cannot do it online, can I combine digital gift cards at the customer service desk?
Is that handled the same way as buying a Target gift card with a gift card?

I am fortunate in that I live just 5 minutes from Target and we stop in there 1-2 times a week so if I have to go to the store to combine gift cards, it won't be too much of an extra hassle.

Yes, you can buy another gift card online using gift cards. You can choose to have the new gift card either emailed or physically mailed.

You can also combine at the service desk. I think the process is a little different - I think they transfer the funds to one card rather than putting it all on a new card, but it's essentially the same thing. Make sure you have them scan the final card before you
walk away to make sure it actually ended up wth the balance on it!

Now they have a shipping charge on those Target physical gift cards. They use to ship for free. It'd be nice if they sold the Target egift cards.
