Disney Gift Card Deals

You're asking if you can load your Target Amex Redcard via Paypal, right? That answer is no. However...why not simply transfer the cash in your paypal account to your bank account, then withdraw the cash and load it onto your Redcard in the store. Then, you CAN use the Target Amex Redcard to receive 5% off your purchase. :-)
The reason I wanted to load the card is because I get a 1% rebate when I use my debit card for a purchase. Now, if the deal (buy 2 $50 cards, get a $5 card) will work online too, then maybe I will just "buy" (load) my Target gift card and buy them online with my RedCard as the default payment.

I just went to my target to try to get the deal of 2 25$ giftcards and receive a 5$ giftcard. I asked a guy near if it work and he told me it would qualify. After bringing them up to the register I was told it didn't work and they couldn't give me the deal. A little annoyed I waited in line after I was told it would work only to find out it wouldn't.

In general Target employees are pretty clueless (I don't think it's necessarily their fault). If you've read the last ten pages or so of this thread, no one has gotten this to automatically work but some have found someone who will give them the deal.

I got $350 worth of $25 cards yesterday. The register did not prompt for the gc, but I asked nicely and the girl was happy to do it. She even offered to combine all of them into one for me. Best Target cashier EVER! (I even filled out a comment card on my way out) :) When I got home, I realized that she had added an extra $5 to the gc.
Saved me about $60 on my ap renewals yesterday!

Also, can anyone help explain the $$ limit on purchasing gift cards from eBay? Is the limit from a specific seller (GiftCardMall?) or is it sitewide?

Paypal digital gifts has a limit on the amount you can buy from them (using any combinations of funding sources), but I do not remember what it is (maybe $1000 every 30 days?). There is a rolling limit of $5000 of purchases every 180 days *using* ebay gift cards. It is enforced by the payment system. When I hit my limit earlier this week, I was getting 7 $50 target cards from GCM. Either I had miscalculated how much I had left before my limit and had to pay my shipping charges from my paypal balance (thank you, swagbucks). Every time I entered a $10 ebay card code to cover shipping, it would drop one of my $100 codes off (and I only had 6 codes entered, so I wasn't hitting a max number of cards limit). I still have ebay gift cards left for when I drop below my limit in February....

ah. sadly, debit card loads on Amex Redcard died last month.

Here's a photo of the Target ad for next week. Note that the offer is only good for the GCs shown. The Disney GC is a $50 GC.
What's the return/exchange policy? Would it be a problem if I bought the $25 Starbucks cards, got the $5 gift cards, then exchanged them for $50 Disney cards?

Generally speaking, no returns or exchanges on gift cards.

I asked specifically about the Disney cards and was told that I could get a refund as long as it wasn't scratched off and/or used. I just didn't know about exchanging them.

Any time you return a purchase which came with a promotional gift card, your refund is reduced by the value of the promotional GC or you are asked to return the GC as well. I doubt that you will actually be able to return a GC that has been activated but I guess that if you don't mind having $50 worth of Starbucks GCs, you could give it a try.

I'm hoping that the "Buy 2 $50 gift cards, get $5 Target gift card" works online tomorrow. I just bought $600 worth of Target gift cards from Cardpool for $582, so only a 3% savings, but if I can order the Disney gift cards online, that will save me $30 + earn another $30 in Target gift cards so a net savings of 10%. It's not the best deal ever, but when I plugged my numbers in to my spreadsheet, my overall savings so far is still at 30% which is still a great deal. If it doesn't work online and I have to go to the store, I think it will still work out OK. I won't save the extra 5%, but I will earn the gift cards so it's basically the same result if the special weren't in effect. I'd like to hold out for some better deals, but I really need to get our tickets before any price increase. When the prices go up, it will negate any savings I would have had with a better gift card deal. I figure that the 3% at Cardpool is better than nothing.

After this purchase, I will have to start accumulating SWA cards because the flight is the next big expense. After the flights are paid for, then it's back to stockpiling the Disney cards for our food and entertainment expenses. So, I still have time to take advantage of better deals for the rest of our trip.

I'd be ecstatic if it did, but doubt it will. If it does, $50 gift cards will likely go out of stock very fast. I'm usually up at 4AM, so I'll check first thing.

So I should plan on going to the Target store after church tomorrow is what you're saying:D?

I'd check the website before church and then go after church if it's not online:) My Target is usually pretty well stocked, but a few people buying large amounts can wipe them out quickly.

Not sure I understand next week's sale. Basically just saving 5%. Why not just order on line with red card in combination with raise? At least that would be about 9%? 5% red card, 3% raise, 1% credit card used to purchase Target card off raise

You're also saving by paying with your red card so it's slightly better than the raise method if raise discount is 3%. Although if you go through TopCashBack I guess it would be about the same because I thought that's another 1% for Target gift cards.

THANK YOU!!!

Just back from two of my stores. The first wouldn't do the deal on the Disney gift cards and only would let you buy 4 they said.

The second store honored the deal for us giving us the $5 for every 2 gift cards bought. We also got the Target Red card saving the 5% on top of that. They only had a few $25 gift cards so we had to get most of it in $50 cards. We ending up buying 57 gift cards totaling $2400. We bought this amount to pay for the 3 Annual Passes we are going to buy.

DH just asked this-
Would it be best to charge the annual passes with our magicband then go to our resort later to pay off the balance with the gift cards so we don't have to waste time at a ticket window during the day?

Yes, or better yet combine the Disney gift cards on their website before you go. You can have up to $1000 per gift card with a total of 5 saved. That's what I am doing for our trip.

Doesn't that have to be moved to one that isn't a preset value like a $50 more like one where you pick the value
