Disney Gift Card Deals

I depleted my 2 area Targets so am probably done. I'm working on paying the DVC dues so will probably get Target cards from Kroger at 4x fuel to finish.

Possible deal ... Raise.com has H-E-B gift cards for 8% off. In addition, this weekend the H-E-B gift cards are an additional 5% off with code TAKE5. I bought $210 in Gift Cards for $183.54 (12.6% off).

I'll run by H-E-B over lunch to see if I can buy a $210 $15-$500 Disney Gift Card with these. I doubt it. But even if not, I do my normal grocery shopping there, so there is no risk.
But the site seems to indicate that these H-E-B gift cards are only valid online. Be sure to report back if that's not actually the case. I was very close to checking out with a few of them before I saw that restriction.

I did, however, manage to grab a PetCo card at 34% off.

I really miss all those HEB deals we used to get a few years ago on gift cards:sad:

Since my Target doesn't sell $25 Disney cards, can I buy $25 Target cards and get the $5 cards?

Will someone please walk me through the process of churning GCs? I've been lurking for awhile, and joined Swagbucks to earn $$ towards GCs. I'm ready to get started. Problem is, I don't know where to start? Obviously I start at Target online and purchase GCs but which ones? I thought it was start at Target online, then order ebay, then order Target from Ebay, then order Disney from Target. All while racking up Swagbucks, of course. However, I'm confused as to why we'd purchase Ebay GCs to buyy Target GCs since the only place on Ebay I see to buy safe Target GCs is GiftCardMall, and you need to pay shipping on the Target GCs. What am I missing? TIA.

Me too. Every time I shop, I still look for Yellow coupons that could apply to Disney. Hasn't been one since December 2012, when they had that $50 off $300 deal.

My advice would be to call other Targets near you to find one that does. Keep in mind that Target has Disney GCs at multiple locations in their stores, and usually they are the $50 or $100 variety. So some employees will just put you on hold, find the nearest Disney GC and make a declaration that that's all they carry. One Target I went to had Disney GCs at all 30 or so registers. There were $25 GCs on only one of them. Just keep looking.

Question about the Disney gift cards... Can they be used anywhere at WDW? Snack stands, character breakfasts, Disney springs(restaurants and shopping.)
I know you can pay for tickets and hotel rooms for them, but was just wondering about the other places.

No. It was for prepaid cards and a lot of stores are only honoring the promo for the cards pictured in the ad. Just do the deal that starts Sunday with the $50 Disney gift cards.

Random FYI - Amex offer on Petco right now. Spend $10, get $5 statement credit. I ordered gift cards online.
My 14 year old Bichon who has very little fur and is rail thin got a sweater to keep her warm thanks to this deal (well I would have bought her a sweater regardless but was happy to have the offer:)

This week AD for the physical Target store said "Free $5.00 Target Gift Card when you buy any two $25-value or higher prepaid gift cards." I don't think Target loadable Giftcards are qualified.

The Disneygiftcard.com site said:
Use at participating locations throughout Walt Disney World Theme Park, Downtown Disney®1, Walt Disney World® Water Parks2, and Walt Disney World® Resorts3. Use toward admission tickets, annual passes, hotel rooms, spa experiences, as well as merchandise, dining and recreation.

Use at Disney owned and operated locations where credit cards are currently accepted.

Some carts, and other outdoor merchandise vendors may not be able to accept the gift card

I guess anywhere that is Disney operated and takes credit cards or magic bands, you are safe. But places that aren't Disney Affiliated, like little vendors, I assume you can't? Haven't been yet, but I assume it's like DLR.

I actually start with Kroger when they are offering 4x fuel points (14% fuel savings, + 6% CB via my Amex card).
Then, I buy ebay from Target (5%). Then, I wait for 4x-5x ebay bucks and buy from ebay (6-10% after shipping) via swagbucks shop and earn (2%). Then, either cycle through target/ebay again (for another 13-17%), or just get Disney cards (5%). Sometimes, I will just get kmart cards and miss that final 5%, but I don't pay shipping. Just keep in mind that you can "only" use $5000 worth of ebay gift cards per account every 180 days.

Yep, that is the last one I remember where Disney was included. But I bought a lot of Lowes from them too. In June 2013, they had $20 or 25 off every $100. It was a Father's Day promo so included 'manly' stores lol. We bought $1500 in Lowes, and saved a bundle. Sure wish they offered promos like that again!

They did have a $10 off $100 Disney card coupon last year. I keep checking the ads this year but haven't seen anything yet. There are some $15 or $20 digital coupons for $100 gift card purchases, but not valid on anything worthwhile.

There's a $15/$100 digital coupon available right now that applies to Lowes.

Just food for thought and feel free to correct my math if I'm wrong. On the new Target ad starting Sunday, buy two gift cards and get a $5 Target card (where the $50 Disney card is shown) and assuming you must by two $50 Disney cards for $100 to 10%, Raise right now is a better deal. I think everyone needs to find their price point for Raise - or whatever you choose as I know several of you get extra fancy with eBay :)

For example, looking at Raise currently the Target cards are at 3% (i know they've been fluctuating a lot lately). Assuming I'd save 3% on Raise, I also use a c/c where I get at least 1% in rewards, then when I purchase the Disney card on Target.com, I go through MyPoints and earn another 1.4% and then on Target lastly I save the 5%. That's approximately 10.4% total savings. If Raise goes above 3% clearly that's a much better savings than the promo that will start on Sunday. For .4% I'd likely rather pick up in the store on Sunday so I don't have to deal with the shipping from Target but just pointing out to some of the newer members if you are using Raise - make sure you calculate your total overall savings and figure out what is the best route for you.

Heather

Ps. For some reason if the $25 Disney cards will qualify on Sunday with the new promo at Target this would change it as you wouldn't have to spend as much to get the $5 Target card. I know some had luck this week with that promo but I'm assuming since the $50 Disney card is showing in the ad for this Sunday it will require at least two $50 cards.

This is pretty similar to what I am doing also (though no 6% amer exp card...just refi'ed our house so waiting to apply). I buy Target from Kroger when 4x fuel rewards using Disney premier visa (2% cb). Then use the Target to buy eBay. Right now, it would just be 5% discount but in the last couple of months, Target has put the eBay gift cards on sale 5% and then get the additional 5% with the redcard discount. Then use the eBay to buy Target when eBay gives 4x-5x ebucks. I also 'roll' eBay gift cards when they offer $5 off $100. I just buy eBay gift cards with an eBay gift card.

My current savings is right at 35% and I include any 'free promo' gift cards as money spent (part of my OOP). That is just how I figure it b/c those are like cash to me. And also, I have been able to take advantage of a ton of promos since stores are offering more this time of year. I don't expect my current savings level to continue.
