Reminder to check your cards for active status after your purchase them. Last weekend I purchased 20 $50 DGC at Target for our trip and waited 24 hours to upload and combine them online. 5 were never activated even though the receipts showed that they were. I bought them at two different Targets, so it wasn't just an issue at one store. Called customer service and they instructed me to go into the store for a refund. It was headache and a half. Apparently I wasn't the only one with the same issue this week with dgc.

I had this happen to me on three orders from Target.com about a year and a half ago, Took a bunch of calls but finally got a hold of someone who knew what was going on and was able to find that their system had 'activated' all the Disney cards for the past week but never transmitted that data to Disney. Freaked out for about a week as it was $1,500 and pretty darn close to a "my word against their word" as I used Target gift cards to buy them so no way to dispute anything.

I used them last Wednesday at HD at self-checkout lane. The first transaction I rang up only ONE $50 DGC at a time, and had no problems. The second transaction I tried doing 2x $50 DGC at a time, and it wouldn't go through. The cashier overseeing self checkout could not force it to go through either. So I had the cashier take off one card, and then it went through. So I think if you stick to one at a time it works great. For the record, this cashier was great. She didn't question the Happy Guy cards at all!

If you have any American Express, check if you have a happycards offer on any of them. I had $15 back on $100 purchase on both my Amex cards.

Hubby did Lowe's, just DGC and it worked just fine. The cashier was so cute, she even tried to give him his military discount on top but it did work. He did get an email from Am Ex. that the offer was paid out.

EDIT: To avoid confusion, he only bought Disney GC's and the email stated it was credited to his account.

I also used the Happy Guy card at HD. I used the self checkout and I was able to do 2 $50 Disney giftcards at checkout in one transaction. I had no trouble at all.

yes. Amex offer for $15 off Happy card purchase, targeted unfortunately. Yes, but the point at which the computer calls over a clerk to verify the purchase depends on the store. I've got one that's $50 and requires approval and one that doesn't require approval even at $100.

Lowes worked for DH (it was only an option on his card ).
Target/superstore I used that offer, but on regular merchandise because I ordered something at target in store to save on the shipping and handed them my Amex without realizing what I was doing. (that one was only on my card ) so sorry I can't answer that one.

I got $1.50 from Amex on my target purchase (but it was a food purchase) and then I went online a couple weeks later to BJs.com and ordered stuff for pick up (again all food and grocery items) and I received that balance of the cash back allotment for the box store offer of $8.50.

I love these AMEX deals. ☺

They hit you with 1.99 secure shipping fee. I rolled my eyes at that until my last order got lost. I had the tracking number and saw it hit Chicago and disappeared. 9 days later I filed missing mail with the post office. 2 days later (today) I got an email it has arrived in Des Moines. Magical that. Glad they charged me the shipping fee after all lol.

Have you had luck using it? I got the offer and ordered a card, but I've never gotten confirmation from the Happycard site or the AmEx credit (though my card was charged the $100). I figured it was a safe site to use since it had the AmEx offer but now I'm getting concerned.

I got this offer from Amex a few months ago and it did credit within a couple of days - the purchase posted one day and then the next day the credit posted.

edit - For one of the Amex offers I had to contact them for the credit. They replied right away and apologized for the delay in the credit.
