Disney Gift Card Deals

If I order a $50 Disney gift card online from Staples, it charges me $1.99, which takes away a good chunk of the $5 savings. I don't see an option for an egift card.
There isn’t one. They charge a $1.99 fee for every Disney gc. So annoying!

DoC reporting a sale on GC at Sams Nov 9....wondering what it includes?
Anything that's listed as an Extreme Value at $100 will be $70, and $50 will be $35. It's usually lots of restaurants and activities. I think there was some Landry's cards last year. (maybe? I'll have to check the thread from last year this time. I remember folks buying something. Not Disney GCs though)

Last year I got Landry's I think. I want to say it was the 3x$25 GC + $15 bonus card pack, and it was on sale for $60 or $65...

Also Smashburger, and Gordon Biersch restaurants. Also tried for Craftworks but missed it.

Ok, thanks. I'll pass on that deal, then. My Staples doesn't carry Disney gc's or I'd buy one in store. At least I got the Target coupon discount :)
RMN is always YMMV, but typically it has payed out for Staples so if you go through the cash back RMN portal for Staples, you can add that to your credit card cash back helping with the $1.99.

I have an hour available today with a handful of stores that have Chase Offers right now: Staples, Rite Aid, Michaels and CVS. I'm armed with all my Chase cards and a list. I will report back once the Chase Offers post (CVS and Rite Aid state no GCs, but I will try them anyway).

My follow up: I have received emails that CVS, Rite Aid and Michaels purchases all earned cash back. They were all single card purchases with no fillers.
I went Lowes and Staples a couple days later. Waiting for those to post, but I don't expect any issue with those since GCs are not excluded.

In the end, about 10% off all with the exception for Lowes at 15%.

They hit you with 1.99 secure shipping fee. I rolled my eyes at that until my last order got lost. I had the tracking number and saw it hit Chicago and disappeared. 9 days later I filed missing mail with the post office. 2 days later (today) I got an email it has arrived in Des Moines. Magical that. Glad they charged me the shipping fee after all lol.

Yeah, that would sure be a nice time to have secure shipping! If you'd not been charged a shipping fee, wouldn't they still have been responsible for making sure it got to you? I don't really know and never thought about it! But I am thinking that you only end up getting about 6% back? Maybe my math is wrong, as that's not a super power of mine ha ha. Since it says "up to $6 back" I assume that means you could only use it once? Seems like less trouble to just get the 5% Target savings unless I'm missing something. I sure wish I'd gotten the Starbucks offer! DH got that one and he doesn't even go there, sigh.

Ok, so I finally sat down to work out what this meant, and now I think I get that you're referencing RetailMeNot, which I've only used for coupons and didn't realize was also doing cash back. So thanks for the clarification and sorry I didn't understand what you guys were telling me. I should have paid more attention! Sorry, gottalovepluto :)

I would not mind the $1.99 fee if they only charged it once on an order but it is PER gc and I find that excessive and more of a money grab. They also don't charge it on all GCs, just their more popular ones. In your case, definitely good you could track everything down!

I did the Amex offer for 25% off Staples and RMN was only 4% at the time. Not worth the hassle if there isn’t a cc offer your using as well.

As far as the shipping goes if you purchase from Staples you can pay it and look on the bright side or pay it be annoyed at paying it. As such I prefer to bright side it.

Aww! Just ask! RMN is not an easy acronym to guess :)

And know RMN cashback on gift card purchases is YMMV since they are always technically excluded in the fine print.

Reminder to check your cards for active status after your purchase them. Last weekend I purchased 20 $50 DGC at Target for our trip and waited 24 hours to upload and combine them online. 5 were never activated even though the receipts showed that they were. I bought them at two different Targets, so it wasn't just an issue at one store. Called customer service and they instructed me to go into the store for a refund. It was headache and a half. Apparently I wasn't the only one with the same issue this week with dgc.

Great advice - I have some that I bought a few weeks ago - off to check them now.
