It’s not the greatest discount but if you have a Target redcard (either the credit card or the debit card) you get 5% off. Right now it’s the most direct savings I know of. I buy from there if I can’t find a better savings elsewhere.I have read through the previous 10 pages and still can't seem to figure it out......are there currently any places where you can purchase a discounted DGC either online or in store? I do use SB and can get virtual visa gift cards to buy online with.
My plan right now is to buy DGCs from grocery stores with my Discover It card. Grocery stores earn 5% cash back this quarter, and I’ll earn an additional 5% cash back because it’s my first year with the card.
Neither of those options will work with visa gift cards though.
Just an fyi Chase Ink Cash is currently offered and will get you 5x back at office supply stores with no annual fee. The Chase Ink Preferred has an annual fee of $95 and will get you the 1.25x redemption rate. If you have a CSR or CSP you can transfer points from any of your business cards to that card to get it's redemption rate. Only thing is you need to have been approved for less than 5 personal credit cards in the last 24 months if you want to apply for those cards new. Another option is downgrading your card to one of the current Ink family cards and Chase won't pull your credit or apply their "5/24 rule" in order to do so (but you won't be able to go back to having the Ink Bold).
very smart bunch over there and they're really nice to boot!
This can vary by individual store. For example, I went to 2 supermarkets of the same chain, and both didn't allow it. I called a third and it was no issue there, so that's where I go now! If you're unsure give the store a call.
Since the update went through even old DPs on this might not be reliable.
