Disney Gift Card Deals

I've never been much of a SB'er but since there seems to be a good deal to be had and I am already making the hour drive to our nearest BB's.... quick question: Do I need multiple printouts of the QR code or will just one do for each transaction. I am going to test my luck in doing 3 separate transactions each at two stores. Between that and the Safeway/Fred Meyer stuff I should be at about 19% savings on $600 in gift cards.

Not bad I guess but a whole lot more work than ebay-->target last time I was doing this! Plus I have to wear pants and drive places :worried::laughing:Also, I really should collect these giftcards throughout the year instead of waiting for the week before I need them :rolleyes1

Multiple. I do screenshots.

Oregon, have Fred Meyer (Kroger) & Safeway & albertsons

Gosh, I haven't heard Albertsons name in a long time! I remember them being in Colorado where we use to live but that store closed down many moons ago!

I was trying to buy Disney gift cards at Target and Walmart today but couldn't buy them either place online. Is this new? I like to buy them with paypal and then I have 6 months to pay for them :\

Colorado also has Kroger. In my town it is Citi Market.

I'll have to remember that one too. We go skiing every year and stay in Denver for three nights, then make the drive to the resorts. Not sure which one we'll tackle this year DS is still earning his poles! I don't know how he sees things with his ADHD & Autism but he's making progress.

I travel with my "extreme couponing" binder! Never leave home without it. We usually get a suite with a full kitchen and bring some items from home. Ha! Our suit cases weigh less when we go back home!

Lol.
You have to use one QR code per each $50 transaction. So, if you are buying 6 $50 Disney gc's you'll need 6 QR codes.
You mentioned 3 transactions each at two stores for total $600. Its 500 SB per each $50 spend. For $300 at each store, You have to do $50 increments to get the most Back. So, 6 $50 variable loads, 6 $50 gcs or 12 $25 gc's. If you buy 3 $100 gcs in 3 transactions in each store, you'll only get $15 in SB (500 per each $100 card) instead of the $30 (500 x 6) you could get.
Sorry if I misunderstood what you were saying but wanted to share those details if needed. Hopefully it makes sense!

I want to say there was a post in the last few days here about Target temporally being out of Disney Cards on line. Someone screenshot their online chat help about it.

Just posting an update to the BB GC to Disney GC "drama". I took my April and May SB cash outs (2 $25 BB GCs) and was able to purchase a $50 variable load Disney GC with no problems in North Houston, TX. I'm hoping this will still works once my Cash Star BB bonus certificates come in.

Perfect, thanks! Here's to hoping BB plays nicely with my plans :).

Today (5/7) I went to Best Buy in Houston (specifically the Meyerland store.) I printed out my SB QR code and printed out my $25 BB GC. (Last time I tried this, it had issues scanning my phone.)

I bought a $50 Disney GC (not variable load) and a Darth Vader Hot Wheel for my son (LOL.) The cashier was super nice, scanned my QR code with no issues but hesitated when she say my BB GC. She was really confused for a moment, but then said, we're not supposed to buy a GC with a GC. I said, oh okay. Then she looked puzzled again for a minute and said, "Well you're getting something else, so I'll make an exception just this one time." Scanned it, the computer took it, and I got the $50 GC and toy for $33.65.

My SB QR code shows up on my receipt as well.

There was also a notice by each register about variable load cards being limited to $200 and a limit of 3 per type per person.

I also used my shopkick when I walked in and got 50 kicks (which they offer a Disney GC as a payout.) I was then able to drive around the shopping center and picked up another two stores.

Sugar land was also a go!

I understand some of us cannot use BB gc's to buy any gc's but what about using a Visa or MC from Kroger? Is this doable?

Today, I went to Lowe's and used my Am. Ex. offers: Buy $50, Save $10 (Disney) and Buy $75, Save $10 (Uber). Easy.

Then I went into Target to use my gc's on a $25 Disney gc via the app without any issues. What I noticed was my store had only 5 - $25 Disney gc's remaining. Those were located by the main registers. I was told a few people recently wiped them out. Honestly, this is the first time I've ever seen that happen here.

Citi Market is a good grocery store. Good luck finding a fun ski spot for your son!

Hold onto your hat then! Somebody here on the DIS schooled me (nicely and I am grateful!) about Albertson's not too long ago. They own (list from wikipedia because I am not that smart): Safeway, Acme, Shaw's and Star Market, Vons, Tom Thumb, Randalls and Jewel-Osco. I was shocked! This whole time what I thought was a little baby grocery chain has been a secret grocery behemoth!

Yes, I understand Citi Market is a grocery store. We stock up on groceries before heading to any ski resort. As stated above, we rent suites that have a full kitchen. The grocery stores in Denver are lower priced then the ones near the resorts.

Woof! I never knew there were so many subsidiaries! Master has taught me well! ::yes::
