I apologize if this is a redundant question but I don't think I'm going to find a quick answer. I'm going to be purchasing a laptop at Best Buy. I will be signing up for a BB credit card for the first time and will be getting 10% back in rewards on my first purchase. Does anyone know if this would get rewards back if I purchased Disney Gift Cards at the same time? I would need to purchase online since the laptop I want is not available in store. TIA

I wish I could help you...but I can't remember the last time I PAID for Disney gift cards at Best Buy. I use my BB rewards earned from my BB credit card and BB gift cards earned from Swagbucks to purchase my Disney gift cards. I can tell you for certain that if you pay with a BB gift card, you do NOT earn rewards, but your purchase DOES count towards your status. I am an ElitePlus member, simply from the GC churning earlier this year.

I initially got the BB card to finance our emergency W/D purchase but I've also started using it for our dining purchases (double rewards) and whatever bonus they are offering each month. In July, it is 3x points for gas!

I've taken advantage of the offer twice this week and the deal is being continued next week as well. I'm not sure what the restrictions might be other thaUsuan gas must be purchased at participation SUNOCO stations and you can only get a maximum of $1 off per gallon. Points expire at the end of the month in which they were earned. I don't use a lot of gas, so gas perks have never been a big draw for me. However, even with an 18-gallon fillup, 20¢ per gallon for every $25 spent on a GC would translate to a savings of $3.60. That's 14.4% even before taking the 1 gas pt./$ that's part of the regular gas rewards program. So I guess the question becomes: "Does the offer apply to GC purchases and if so, does Acme carry $25 Disney GCs?" Hmmm....I may need to stop in the nearest Acme tomorrow and buy a $25 GC to BB, Target or Disney just to see if it triggers the bonus.

My Acme does sell Disney gift cards, I forget the denominations but want to say they have variable loads? I'm pretty sure. Gift cards get you double pts, so 50 pts for $25. So in theory if you did 2, $25 GC transactions you'd get 50 cents off gas. I don't see why there'd be an exclusion for gift cards, but haven't tried it myself.

Thanks TTM! I saw the offer about 10 times on my amex accounts but didn't figure out to order gift cards until I read your post. The amex email came in right after the order confirmation email. They have a few restaurant gift cards which worked for me.

The exclusions listed on the offer are a little odd, it says "Excludes online gift card reloads" but I can't immediately see where you can reload a gift card online (maybe it's an action in your walmart account?) so maybe that might foul it up? But if you'd shop at Walmart anyway, can't hurt to try. That's a good thought, I'd possible brave an in-store trip if it works.

Thanks! I have this on 3 of my 4 cards but I'm not sure how I can apply this for Disney. I have a ton of SWA RR points, my Landry's GCs have been sitting for over a year because we have not eaten at Y&Y on the past 3 trips. I'm wondering if I were to purchase something online and then return it for store credit, would I be able to use the credit to purchase a Disney GC in-store?

I also have Amex offer to spend $125 at Jet.com and get $25. A tweet by the Frequent Miler mentions that jet.com sells third party gift card. Just checked their selection, no Disney but a nice variety of other cards including Southwest, Starbucks, Walgreens, Walmart, Landry's.

I have a Walmart Neighborhood Market very close to my house and I know they carry Disney. I'm going to give it a try. If it works I'll use the jet.com offer for a Walmart gc.

You know what I hate about AMEX? When I log in as myself, "authorized user, account manager" I don't see everything that I do when I log on as my DH (the "primary")!
I just now logged on as my DH and I easily found the offers!

I haven't tried yet, but I have in the past. I added the offer to each card, and then used each card and got the credit. They all have different log-ins and different card numbers so it should work.
I didn't see anything that would help for Disney but I see other places we eat out at a lot, so that works too!

I set up a separate login for each person who has a card. That works as well. Sometimes one of my kids will have an offer that I don't - seems so random sometimes. Good luck!

Would do it at Sam's instead of Walmart since you'd get their discount on Disney. I've bought 3rd party cards online and paid with Sam's/Walmart gift cards with no problem.

Someone above said it does work at Walmart, but I haven't tried it personally.
