That's pretty much the exact opposite of what you should do. There's nothing wrong with looking stupid. Walgreen's system didn't allow using a gift card for a gift card for at least the last four years. Just because an update to their system allows it again doesn't mean the policy has changed. This is only successful because people keep it under the radar.

Didn't someone here email Walgreen's customer service, and they responded that yes you can use their GC to buy another GC?

I think people's experiences vary. Personally, I would try maybe $200-$300 today and the rest tomorrow. Thats just me though. Someone earlier was able to purchase $1K worth without a problem.

If I understood correctly, the person who earlier today got $1k from PPDG without a problem was not paying with eBay GCs, so their experience isn't going to be similar to most others here.

I don't know of any general cap on rewards. But you can get the bonus $5 up to 3x.

Thanks. I was able to find out that there is a $50 reward limit per transaction, so that's good to know.

I'm having major issues with Paypal tonight. It won't allow my transaction to go through even though the balance is $0 after I enter my gift cards. Anyone else have this issue? I was just on the phone with them for an hour. Now they say I have to go through a "cool down" process and try the transaction in an hour. Uggggg! So frustrated. I have a 10x promo right now!!!

I'm having PayPal problems tonight too. What it amounts to is that I'm getting $400 in Walgreens gcs but paying $488. $400 from an eBay gift card plus they took $88 from my Paypal acct. how does that even make sense??? I'm not past my gc limit yet. I don't think it's SVM's fault, I think it's PayPal.

I had something similar happen to me, and I added a $10 gift card that I paid with Paypal and it went through. Paypal is greedy! Of course, this is all VERY YMMV. If you are going through PPDG, you still may not be able to buy and then they could shut down your account. You could be experiencing a software glitch or something much worse, so tread lightly.

I looked up your post. I wonder if the cashier will have to honor it based on that response? I'm just not so sure how a cashier or manager will respond to a screenshot from a message board

Yes. I paid via PayPal/cc on my one account that gets along with PPDG. My other PayPal account NEVER works with PPDG regardless if it's gc or cc or PayPal - I could lay cash down on the CEO's desk and the computer screen would pop up an error if I was logged into that account.

I'm suspecting that it's more the account than the method used to pay. Like once it's flagged you're forever in their 8th hell dimension of verification.

PPDG allows that PayPal account of mine to go through with gc payment but I've never tested $1k by doesn't even ask for verification at $2-400. After $400 I get asked once for a text regardless of payment.

Well, I do feel bad for YOU! I'm guessing that you aren't depending on eBucks to churn - what are you doing instead? I'm not asking to pry; I am just trying to figure out what I should do while waiting for a promotion (if I ever get one again)!

I finally got it to work after a lengthy call with PayPal. When you say tread lightly, what would you suggest? Switch to another store gc like Walgreens? (I was buying BB gc through PPDG.)
