So far, it's always just temporary so hopefully for those this impacts it won't be too long. They haven't gone out of stock in awhile so I guess it was time.

Heather

This happened on black friday and they were quickly replenished. I also went to buy some today. Hope they are back in stock soon, but if not I'll just buy at my local target just in case they stop selling them!

Are you talking about me?? :) :rotfl2: Recently, I just called the DCL number specified for the DV account at 1-800-511-9333 and told the CM that I wanted to apply a payment to my cruise from my DV account and provided her the info and was done in like 1 minute. I didn't even bother calling Costco as there wasn't a need to. Let me know what happens when you try but I think they are getting the "hang" of it now :)

I did exactly this today, and you're right - it was easy. I did have to tell the CM to enter my DVA account # in the "gift card" field (this was her first DVA payment). Nice feeling to have the cruise paid for. Thanks for your help Heather! :goodvibes

We are planning our next Disney trip for December. The tiebreaker between a November or December trip was that a December trip would likely allow me to buy Disney Gift Cards at a discount from Target or H-E-B (Texas Grocery Store).

Love the discount.

Need a HEB deal now:scared1: my payoff day is the 24 of this monthpopcorn::

I'm have purchased all others at a Target store, no issuespopcorn::

I just bought two 50 dollar gift cards from target online and yes they were inactive. Here is where the problem comes trying to speak with someone who can communicate in clear english and someone who knows how to fix the problem. everytime you call they cannot seem to understand you have a problem with a disney gift card not a target gift card. I made about 10 calls spoke to roughly 15 different people and then finally I struck gold someone was able to help me.It seems a whole new batch of target gift cards went out without being activated. The number I would recommend calling for customer service at target is 1 800 544 3875 .

Wow what a run a around. Talk about having to persevere:coffee:

This is the exact reason I buy ONE at a time. It's really hard for someone to screw up not activating ONE card. It's free shipping anyway, so I might as well just buy one at a time. I can understand that if you are fairly close to your trip, you'd have to buy multiple at one time...but you're really risking that they will not be activated. Had it happen with a multiple purchase previously, so I will not do that again. Been getting them one at a time for the past 4 months (a few per week) and haven't had problems yet.

Hi guys,

I didn't have time to read through the whole thread, can someone advise if the (almost) 10% off online works (using red card and pharmacy rewards) to purchase Disney gift cards? I know they have stopped it in the store :(

No. The Pharma5 does not work for GCs when ordering online or in the store.

I have received an order of just 1 card that was not activated. I know others here have too.

Just as others have pointed out, the unactivated Disney gift cards that I have received have been single gift card orders.
Believe me, Target.com can and does screw up ONE gift card orders.
You've just been lucky so far.

I had my order of one gift card screwed up like the others! It came unactivated and it took me a week to finally get it straightened out.

I bought two batches of $50 GCs at Target using my RedCard, one was 20 cards at a time. $1,000 worth, paid $950, not one problem.
Seems like Target is still the best deal straight up, beating Sam's Club 3 packs by .48 cents. (Not counting gas point purchases at other stores, because I hate math, and there's no Food City stores past Knoxville, TN)

Since target online is out of stock currently on the Disney Gift Cards, does anyone know if I go into the store with my target gift cards that I earned through swag bucks & perk tv with me and my red card if I can still get the 5% off on the disney gift cards? How does that work? Do I swipe my target card and then give the target gift card number to make the purchase? Thanks for your help!

You will only get 5% off any balance that is paid for using the REDCard. You will not get 5% off your total purchase like you would online. So for example, if you were to purchase $500 worth of GCs and pay with $400 in Target GCs and your REDCard, you will get $5 off (5% off the $100 paid with the REDCard).

Thanks Marionnette! I knew you would know! I'll just wait till they are back in stock online then - which is hopefully soon! Thank you for your help!

I posted the below on another thread this week after I had 5 inactive Disney GCs from Target. Thanks to someone posting the direct phone number to the Gift Card specialists, I was able to get this worked out really quickly!!

***********************************

I just received some Disney GCs that I ordered from Target as well and half were inactivated. I saw on the Disney GC Deals thread on this board that someone posted a phone number, which I called today. I was on the phone for about 10 minutes, and the rep. took the GC numbers down, said she would call Disney, and get back to me by the end of the day today. I will update this response once that does (hopefully) happen.

Target Corporate Gift Card Line: (800) 544-3875 - spoke to a real friendly woman, sounded like she was located in the U.S., and knew exactly what the problem was.

Have your Target order number ready, along with the 24 digit gift card number. Mine were located on the back of the card, but the rep. also said it could be printed on the cardboard backing, so keep that too!

ETA1: 10 minutes after I got off my first call, the rep. called me back saying she got all but one activated herself. The last one she needed to take the 16-digit GC number and call Disney to get it worked out. So far, relatively painless to get it resolved (though I wish I just got them all activated originally).

ETA2: Another 20 minutes and all GCs were activated. Again, this was rather painless, and I didn't have to talk to multiple people who didn't understand what I was talking about, or have to go through Target's "normal" customer service. If only Disney would allow you to apply gift cards to ticket purchases online...because that took 1.5 hours!!!
