6/22 I purchased $300 in SW giftcards. The only other purchases, ever of PPDG were 2 others, earlier in June, also for SW giftcards. Total purchases were $800. The last sale they had me do the verification where they call my home phone with a code I had to enter.

So did you just recently open the account and only had GC to GC purchases? Maybe they have a probationary period where the account is scrutinized more closely..?

I would provide them with nothing. If your PayPal is attached to eBay separate it. After getting home or as soon as possible attempt to use your ebucks and cash out so you don't lose what you've built using another PayPal u may have or someone else's you can use when checking out. Id even go to the lengths of using another IP address.

Stay away from PPDG. Hopefully you can do that and then call them. Some ppl have reported getting the email, giving info - which I think is a part scam on PP part to get you in their system more thoroughly to block you, then getting permanently banned.

I can't figure out how to seperate my ebay and paypal accounts from my phone. Should I unlink my cc and checking account info from paypal before trying to use my ebucks? Also, are the ebucks attached to the ebay account or paypal? Just wondering if using the ebucks to buy from a non ppdg seller will still be problematic at this point.

Nope.the account has been open since 2003. I used it frequently the first few years then very infrequently (less than yearly) up until I started with the Target card purchases early March.

Target had Disney $100's yesterday so I bought a GC on Raise, didn't get the voucher # all day, kept checking for it and was getting kind of frustrated. Finally received a notice that they cancelled it because they couldn't confirm the balance. Wasn't aware that they verify ahead of time but really appreciated not having to find out and deal with it after the fact. Bought another one this AM and transferred to my Target acct, but Target would not let me check out with it. Anyone else having the same issue today?

What do you mean they won't let you check out with it? What's the message you're receiving?

I bought $300 in Target GC's yesterday in the evening. It still shows as processing this morning.

Is it possible to just cancel the order?

I did cancel the order. It was a pain because it forced me to cancel each item and my gift cards haven't been refunded yet. But I was able to order a Disney gift card and it has shipped!

PPDG may be getting better. Placed a $500 order w them... Paid with a combination of Ebucks and Ebay certs. Did have to verify, but it went thru as expected. No multiple verifications, no lockouts. Received my order ok.

I couldn't stand the thought of getting banned by Paypal with bucks outstanding, so I cashed out. I did 2 x $200 BB PPDG transactions and had no issues. Didn't even have to verify. This is the first time in a very long time that I have no eBay gift cards on hand. Of course, now is the time there will be some fabulous sale that I will miss!!

To those who have gone through Walgreen's, can you tell me if you slide their gc through the credit card machine or if you have to hand it to the cashier. Just trying to get a feel as to how this might work to decide if I want to test this route.

I will be heading to the northeast this weekend, and just bought a gc from PPDG for The Christmas Tree shops, so I can buy vacation supplies. But it got me thinking.... does anyone know if they sell third party gcs?

To those who have gone through Walgreen's, can you tell me if you slide their gc through the credit card machine or if you have to hand it to the cashier. Just trying to get a feel as to how this might work to decide if I want to test this route.

I swiped it at the credit card machine. The first swipe didn't register likely because I was in a hurry to get it done. The cashier glanced at the card and said to try it again. I imagine she noticed it was a gift card at that point and seemed fine with it.

Thanks for the response. I guess I just prefer the little bit of anonymity provided when the customer can swipe the card themselves (feels a lot more like ordering things online). I'd rather not have to get the "You can't buy that with a gc" like I got from our BB. There is a Walgreen's really close to my house, so I may have to stop in soon to see if they carry Ebay cards. If so, this may be a viable option for me to try out. At least until there is some kind of change in policy or something similar....LOL.

You slide on your end. most of the time they can't even see what you're using.

At my Walgreens they had variable load Disney gift cards for $25 to $500.

No, they are only sold in stores.

What do you mean they won't let you check out with it? What's the message you're receiving?

The only payment option was my Redcard. The GC option was not available, not even shown as an option on the page. I backed out, closed out and came back a little bit later, still no option to use a GC. Target is so quirky though it may very well be available now, I just haven't been on the site yet to try.
