Whew!!!!! I am out of GS! I just got back from a different GS in my area with a bunch of gift cards in my hand! I had called ahead and said that I knew I couldn't purchase eBay cards with a GC, but asked about restaurant cards. He said he had seen notices about not selling eBay, Shell, and Vanilla cards with GS GC, but hadn't seen anything about restaurant cards and suggested I come in and give it a try. So, in I went. I bought my daughter two used games, $50 in Fandango, $25 in Starbucks, $50 in Applebee's, $100 in Chili's, and $200 in Southwest. I was really happy that Southwest worked. I'll save that for the next Disney trip we plan. We are taking a trip to the Bay Area later this month, so I thought the restaurant cards would be a good idea, otherwise I would have done all Southwest.

It is such a relief to have those GS cards out of my pocket with no $ loss! (Thanks for the encouragement, Lain!!)

I "cashed out" my last two $100 GS for Shell GCs today and sold those to Cardpool at 87%. GS's POSA system had no problem processing the GS>Shell transaction. This is in the Bay Area. I had sold as many GS GCs as I could on eBay during the last eBucks bonus to take advantage of a targeted offer that capped my final selling fees at $20 in the month of June. That worked out to about a 92% value after eBay and PP fees and shipping. Then I took some of my proceeds from PP and used the $15 off $75+ eBay coupon to buy a BB GC, upping my redemption rate. I'm left with cash in PP and a check coming from Cardpool, which I'll use to buy discounted Target GCs from Raise or Cardpool and combine with my REDCard for Disney GCs; and BB GCs that I know I can still convert to Disney GCs.

It feels good to be fully divested from GS!

Me too! I ordered a Walgreens gift card with the last eBay flash promotion of $15 off so I was planning to try it with that card. I may order another one with my ebucks too if it works.

Did you use SVM to get your Walgreens card? Last promotion, SVM wouldn't accept an ebay gift card from me. Hoping that it won't be a problem to use ebucks, but I am curious if SVM will be become the next PPDG.

I used SVM last promo with an eBay gc with no problem. Just got an email they shipped.

A few pages ago, someone reported success at GC>GC transactions at Walgreen's. Since I've only been here a few months, I could be wrong, but I think it was agreed that this method was closed off a while ago. So, I decided to utilize the "Contact Us" button on Walgreen's website and ask about using Walgreen's Gift Cards to purchase Disney. There is one about 15 minutes from me, and no other ones for about 45 min. The website says they don't carry Disney, so I wouldn't be able to use it, but others might want to hear what the company itself says. I've copied and pasted their response, which just was sent to me:

You can. They should have the variable $25-$500 cards, IIRC.

No I never gave GS my rewards number and the employees in my store were more than willing to do it until the system stop allowing it.

Just got back from one of the GS I rotate churning at. Got a $100 ebay with a gc no problem. We're in Indianapolis. Also we typically give our number because my husband is a pro member.

Does ebay normally have promotions before the ebucks certificates expire? Just wondering if I should wait to use mine. I am on pins and needles waiting for my gamestop gcs to come in - hoping I can use them before that portal closes.

I tried Walgreens GC to GC on June 29 and was successful. They had both Disney and eBay variable load gift cards at my store.

I redeemed the last of our eBucks for a $50 Walgreens gift card from my account and a $25 from DS's. I redeemed most of our eBucks for Best Buy through PPDG and found that as long as I paid 100% with eBucks, PayPal didn't ask for any verification. So I purchased as much as I could of Best Buy and the rest went to Walgreens, paying any overage with my PayPal balance.

I contemplated churning eBay to Walgreens but I just don't have the stomach for it anymore. I wonder how fast Walgreens will change their policy if they suddenly see large amounts of eBay gift cards being purchased.

I was nervous about using PPDG but encouraged that it didn't ask for any verification texts. I plan on doing very little with them in the future, if at all.

I didn't use my Balance Rewards card. I wanted to stay off the grid.

I always use my Power Up Pro Rewards Card. Love how quickly you get/redeem points. Free gas.
Every time I get gas with gcs or Power Up, I feel that it's an end game for profits.

I'm at the beach this week with no computer and spotty internet/phone access. My immediate concern is will this affect me using my eBucks? My plan was to buy gas cards. Any advice?

Yes, i did but I didn't use an eBay gift card to pay. I used my credit card. I am out of eBay gift cards now.

I just got back from GS and was able to convert $800 in gc to eBay gc with no issues whatsoever. I'm in Minnesota.

Yes, I am in the Western suburbs. I cashed out just before the policy change (Friday I think) reported by others.

That's interesting. I didn't have a problem with checking out but I used my cc.

They did the last time if I remember correctly. A mini survey of the group seem to indicate those that had used their ebucks got the offer and those that were still hanging on to them did not (that was me last time). I used mine the first day just in case there's a pattern there.

Yes, you can. You can also use your Walmart GCs at Sam's Club to buy Disney GCs with a small percentage off.

I am 60 miles west of Chicago and my store still is working for switching GS gc's to Ebay.

Maybe the Walgreens churn might work pretty good for a bit, especially as they have both Disney and Ebay! Guess I'll have to try sometime here. Interested to hear how it goes for others who were gonna try it.

6/22 I purchased $300 in SW giftcards. The only other purchases, ever of PPDG were 2 others, earlier in June, also for SW giftcards. Total purchases were $800. The last sale they had me do the verification where they call my home phone with a code I had to enter.
