Disney Genie plus question with someone who might not use it

My mom will be touring with us Disneyland and we are getting the genie plus. If she ends up leaving during the day would this cause any type of block by her not being there and us continuing getting picks? Or is it the type of thing where she would need to be there with us for each selection (sorry if that does not make sense)

The ability to book a LL with Genie Plus will not be affected if she leaves and will not affect the ability of any members staying inside the parks as well. You can continue to make the selections, and can do so as long as she scans into the park!

You'll still be able to do everything even if she leaves early. I was in charge of my family's Genie+ and could schedule things even when other people were having a hotel break.

No issue whatsoever. A friend has even used my LL for a ride I didn't want to go on so they could ride twice.

Disney does not keep track of who exits the parks. You don't have to use your ticket to do so. People exiting are just numbers on a turnstile. And they are not constantly tracking the locations of everyone who entered the parks that day, or at least I certainly hope not.

If you are planning to have someone else use a Genie+ reservation made for your mother, it may be an issue if you park hop to the park she did not enter that day and tried to use a LL for her there. Disney does keep track of who entered each park each day. I haven't tried it though, so can't say what would happen if you tried it.

No, I just want to make sure here not being there impacts anything. For example lets say we all book a FP for 3pm at space mountain, but she decides to leave before that will it impact the rest of the party from getting more FP later since she never checked into Space Mountain

Oh no there won’t be any penalty, and if she isn’t there you can just cancel her LL after you’ve scanned everyone else’s (and i believe before you get there at all?) or scan hers too and then the ability to book for her will be free again

We do this all the time, Sometimes I have had enough of roller coasters so we make the LL for everyone but I don't go in with them and then when they come out I give her my magic band and she scans in and rides again. While she is doing that I make the next LL then for the group.
