Disney GC's NOT at 1 Target Store today (Found at another Target today)

Hi everyone,

I was at Target today about 45 minutes from me so not my closest store, and wanted to buy a Disney GC. Normally all Target stores that I have been to stock them at each register aisle, extras sometimes by cards, and then even another GC area by Electronics. This store did not have ANY Disney GC's. I asked at Customer Service and was told the GC's were recently pulled. I'm hoping she made an error and meant the store had sold out. I will be checking another Target store tomorrow and will post back what I find. I sincerely wanted to put this FYI out there so if it does up being true all of you have a heads up! UPDATE: I called Target closest to me and was told in Electronics there were both the $50 and $100 Disney GC's. Sounds like (hopefully) the store I was at earlier had just run out.

P.S. I just went back to Target.com. I clicked onto both the $50 and $100 Disney GC choices. It clearly says on both "store pick up NOT available." Anyone work for Target and know about this?

I don't work for Target but do know Disney made a recent deal with InComm - which is the gift card company at Food Maxx/Lucky stores on the West Coast- and are now carrying Disney gift cards on their displays for the 1st time. That may have affected the Target deal

Lucky stores is a blast from the past! I believe my Grandpa many years ago met the Lucky commercial lady Stephanie Edwards (was that her name? she had red hair and used to do the Rose Parade with Bob Eubanks) I have never heard of Food Maxx. Thanks for that info MommyJKM. The Target closest to me again said they have both the $50 and $100. I am not sure I ever actually saw any of the $100’s at target. I think Wal-Mart once had a $25 Disney GC. I will be trying again tomorrow and if not will buy online. I just wanted one more to be able to renew my AP using only a GC. I was going to wait to purchase any extras until Black Friday, hoping Target once again (they did this last year from 8am-12 noon) will sell Target Store GC’s at 10% off and allow you to use that to buy a Disney GC. That was more why what happened today jumped out at me as I was sure hoping to save extra that way next month.

I've seen the $100 GC a couple of times at my local Target, but they don't seem to have them as often as they have the $50 ones.

I just bought a $100 gift card at my local Target this evening. They had plenty in stock of both the $50 and $100. So I am guessing this was a fluke.

Figment_jii I'm glad you have spotted the $100 GC's. That would be handy sometime. Although so thankfully we are now able to combine GC's.

That is good to hear scschulla. I was hoping that particular store was just out. I will be going to another Target tomorrow.

I got a $25 Disney Gift Card at Target today. It was the lone GC along with a $100 Disney GC in the checkout aisle it was in. I was successfully able to combine it with another GC and renew my Deluxe AP. yesterday was 40 days out for me. It was the $559. I was told that for a couple weeks following the price increase some folks did get the old renewal price. I did this by phone and the CM was so friendly to deal with too

I live in Northen California and noticed just yesterday that our Walmart was now carrying Disney GC! Our Target had them, too, yesterday.
