When Walt was perfecting his Abraham Lincoln AA it sprung a Hydrolic leak in it's chest and RED hydrolic fluid leaked as the AA crumpled to the floor. . .someone joked they were recreating the assassination. . .they've used clear fluid ever since.

Yah, I heard that too, on one of those Behind The Scenes shows or something. I thought that was funny!!

Walt designed the parks so when you pass from land to land, you don't see the others. If you where in Liberty Square, you can't see Fantasyland, trees, buildings and distractions like the water wheel, the noise keeps you from looking to your left and seeing the other lands.

Aint that Cool!!!! i never realized

Ever wonder why the Disney lakes or waters don't rise when it rains or lessens during a long time without rain? It's all computer controlled. You will never see the waters above or below their desired mark. NEVER!

As you travel to a different land notice the ground. It slowly changes from bricks to pebbles, stones to bricks, etc. to suit the land you're going to. This is done to subliminly enhance the park experience.

Did you know that you can identify which "land" you are in by the garbage cans? I recently visited WDW, and a Cast Member informed us that if you ever want to know which land you are in, pay attention to the garbage cans. They change from land to land!

Ps im geting this stuff from:

Check it out!!

There's an underground city beneath the parks so CMs can move around.

The Carousel of Progress has the most performances of any show.

I found a few..

-The sun, which is at it's highest and hottest point at noon, heats and melts the grease on the tracks of the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to its thinnest point as the day wears on, and thus the train goes faster in the afternoon. The ride's average speed it about 30 MPH, but can reach speeds of up to 33 MPH, which is faster than Space Mountain! Be sure to sit in the back of the train if you want to the ride to feel even faster!

-There are about 1100 Audio-Animatronic figures in the Magic Kingdom alone!

-Did you know there are NEVER any lost children at the Walt Disney theme parks? NEVER! The Disney cast members are trained and instructed to be sure to keep children that are separated from the parents comfortable by stressing to them that the "parents are lost", not the children themselves. This makes the hunt easier for the missing "adults" and keeps the children from feeling as if something has been done wrong by them

-Did you know that the tiles in the Morocco pavilion at Epcot World Showcase were created by Moroccan artisans brought in from Morocco by Disney? This may not seem too remarkable in and of itself. But take a look at each of the mosaics on the walls. You will notice that each mosaic has at least one cracked/flawed tile in it. This is because these mosaics, created by Moroccan artisans who worshipped Allah, believed that only Allah can create something that is "perfect". So every mosaic was purposely flawed by the artists in respect to their beliefs.

-Also, during Illuminations, Moracco doesn't have any light affects, because they find light perfect, and only thier God is perfect.

There isn't a single brick in Cinderella's Castle.

A woman once tried to sue Disney saying the elevator in the Living Seas moved too fast, when it doesn't up or down at all.

These are really intresting facts!! Thanks for sharing everybody! :thumbsup2

Nope, I don't know any secrets, but those facts are interesting!

Disney does not sell gum in any of its theme parks. This is because it is a total nightmare to scrape up every night.... which is done, by the way.

Pirates of the Caribbean was originally going to be a walk through ride substantiated in "Disneyland Inside Story" by Randy Bright. Walt originally wanted to make it a walk through attraction but everyone advised against it because no one would want to walk through the attraction. Also "It's a Small World" was also planned this way. Walt finally made It's a Small World a boat ride. And, when they built Pirates, they used the same flat bottom boats as Small World. pirate:

The money people throw into the wishing wells is all given to charity, as is the money thrown any-/everywhere in the park.

The Disney Princesses (as well as any face characters) are all Union Actors, not just any cast members!

Obviously anyone on Disney Theme Parks who works there is called a Cast Member - even the Disney Stores. These are you janitors, ride operators, maintenance people, etc. Others are: Firefighters, police, telecom (Orlando has their own bona fide departments), security, secret service (These guys are the suits with trench coats and sunglasses wearing an ear piece - for presidents and other important people.), and Medical Staff (Orlando even has a qualified surgeon at their medical center). One note about the DSS (Disney Secret Service). They are generally polite like the rest of the CMs, but they can actually grab you and pick you up and throw you out of the park (or to a police officer.) if it comes to that. Also, they do not cary any weapons except when someone like the President or a foreign Ambassador is present - which they work with the real Secret Service. I've have seen this at Orlando.
