Hey everyone,

Although I have been to Disney more times then I can count. I am thinking about going this year for one day. I will be staying on Disney property for 10 days.

My questions is: Does Universal have a fast pass system like Disney or will I have to wait on long lines. My fear is that I am only going for one day and will not get on many rides without the fast pass option.

Thanks in adavance.

Universal has an express pass that you can buy that will allow you to get on the rides faster and depending on how busy it is the day you go how much the express pass will cost and the express pass you will only be able to use once per ride.
Hope this helps :thumbsup2

They don't have a free fast pass system.

I know that you can buy an express pass which will let you ride each ride with the express pass line within one park (not all rides have it) once. I don't know if they have an express pass option for both parks in the same day.

Were you looking at doing both parks in one day?

I've never done that so I don't know what advice to give but I'm sure someone else will know how to direct you so you can make the most of your time.

I had found that if you get there early, the lines are short but if you run late even by 30 minutes, you can wait awhile in line.

Actually, I'm only looking to do the Movie Park.

It seems like all the rides I want to try are in this park.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but here are the rides I want to go on the most. Are they all in the movie section of the park.

1. Spiderman
2. Simpsons Ride
3. ET
3. Twister
4. Jaws
5. The Mummy
6. Jurasic Park.
7. Earthquake

These are the rides I want to do the most. Am I going to the right park.

You guys are fast.

I appreciate the help.

Spiderman and Jurassic Park are in Islands of Adventure. The others are in Universal Studios.

What time of the year are you going to the park? This could very well determine your need for the Express Plus Pass. If going in a non peak time, you would probably not need it or even....gasp (;) :lmao: ).... get a reasonably priced onsite hotel room for one night (there are several discount options such as AAA, Supersaver rates and AP holder) which will give you two full days of unlimited express for all of the rides in both parks.

Have no fear - we are here to help you out with any other questions you may have :thumbsup2

I am going to Disney Agust 11th through the 21st. I will be doing the one day Universal Trip probably during the first week.

I don't care if I don't get to go on the Jurasic Park ride but I really wanted to go on Spider Man. The rest of the rides are in the studios.

Can someone tell me what the difference is in price for the two parks as oppossed to just the studios.

I really don't want to pay the extra just for one ride.

Thanks.

You guys are very quick and informative.

One park One Day is 67.00
Two park One Day is 79.99
Two Park &Day unlimited is 89.99

you must include tax on all of the above prices as well as purchase beforehand. day of tickets at the gate are a bit higher.

here is the link : http://www.universalorlando.com/tickets.html

Also, the Express Pass for your time period if you go that first week is at $35.99 which is considered busy attendence time (busier time periods make the Express Pass Price higher) Here is the link for the express pass: https://secure.universalstudios.com...alID=UOMain&CategoryExternalID=UO1ParkUEPLive

With the attendence expected, I would get there as early as possible (opening or 30 minutes before) and get on all of the rides you can. See if you need the express before you buy it ahead of time. The passes are sold all over the parks in the stores.

Hope this helps :thumbsup2

Thanks for the compliment - we try to keep it easy for everyone

Thanks again.

Being a newbie to the Universal Fourms, you guys made a great first impression.

Thanks again for all your help.

earthquake bit the dust.

they now have it as Disaster but the subway car is still in play there.

if you are doing a day trip only, get to the parking garage by 7:45 to park.
they open at 8 and you will be parked soon after they open then.

if you wait until 8:30-9:30 to get there, you will have a long wait in the line to park.

gates can open unofficially before 9.
not all rides will be open then.

if you buy the epp, it covers ALL rides and attractions once in the park.
the only thing that is not covered in both parks is the pterdynon flyers.

go early to the park and eat at off times to avoid lines and crowds.
if you start the day in the park at 8:30, do lunch around 11:15.

crowds start to begin around that time. those people will be doing rides while you eat.

if you go to the studios on a tues, wed, or thur, crowds should be lighter.
weekends will have crowds

anymore questions?

wait on the epp to decide once you are in the parks.

if you buy them and don't use them due to no lines, they are still not refundable.

you can buy the epp at the stores in the parks and at guest services.

if the epp is $20 or less, odds are they waits in line will not be long.

I HIGHLY reccomend going to both parks, even if you're only going for one day.

IOA is the most spectacular park outside of Disney IMO and has won many awards for quality and theming
