Breakfast at Las Ventanas at Coronado Springs. I think this has closed but it looks like the menu has moved over to Rix Cafe. I didn’t see this announced but I may have missed it. Service is usually not the best here but we love the food.

Huevos Benedicto - soft corn arepas, seared pork belly, soft poached eggs and roasted pablano holandaise, served with chilaquiles

Huevos Divorciados - two eggs any style served over a cheese quesadilla with black beans and scallion potatoes, topped with fresh salsa roja, salsa verde and queso fresco

Dinner at California Grill

Bread and wine. The dip was some kind of cold tomato, oil and vinegar from what I remember. I was surprised that it was cold. It was okay but I’m glad I didn’t pay for it.

We split a salad. It think this was a Caesar salad basically.

DH got a weird combo but he was actually thrilled with both choices. Cheese and pepperoni flatbread and the Spice Kazan sushi roll

I picked the vegetarian unplugged but I didn’t take a photo of the choices. I do remember that I too was thrilled with this. Everything was great! I’m pretty sure that the lower right is the polenta and mushrooms that’s on the pork entree. I eat vegetarian/pescatarian at home and try not to make too many exceptions when on vacation (although I definitely will at times!) and was so glad I could get this. I didn’t want the pork entree and the polenta is my favorite from that anyway.

We did the After Hours event at Magic Kingdom so this was what we both had for dessert later in the evening.

They have a separate vegetarian menu and I didn’t take a photo. If I remember, this was the vegetable enchiladas that come with beans, rice and corn. DH surprised me and ordered this as well. Again, I loved how vegetable-forward this was. I hate when “vegetarian” simply means “no meat” but instead full of cheese, bread, pasta, etc. This was full of vegetables so we were both happy. This was the last meal of the trip and I think DH was feeling his lack of vegetables. Ha!

Had a quick trip this weekend!

Fiesta Margarita at Coronado Springs

Had dinner at The Edison - not my favorite, but I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich and the Apple Propellant (non-alcoholic). DH had the grilled cheese and tomato soup.

Sprinkles sundae - Vanilla milk chocolate cupcake and Cap'n Crunch ice cream....again was not fussed (struck out this time)! I think I prefer the cupcakes by themselves.

Joffrey's iced vanilla latte and TSL Donut - YUM!

The Edison food looks really good from the picture (which were all great by the way!) but I keep hearing the taste is mediocre at best. I think we'll be skipping this one.

That was our experience - presentation was great. Taste (for me anyway) was meh.

Ohhh yes yes yes! My hubs had this when we were there in June.
Brioche can be a little sweeter, but not like King's Hawaiian bread or anything. I found it to be more hearty to hold in the sweet ice cream!

I know there are a lot of people that love this, but I have tried it twice now and just can't get into it. It would be better if the bread was sweet, but it's not. I just feel like I am eating a hamburger bun with ice cream in it!
